    Two points gleaned:
    1. How are you feeling about your finances over the next few weeks? (to open them up emotionally)
    2. I completely understand your situation. Many people are telling us the same thing, so you are not alone. (to respond to uncertainty)

This lady is amazing... I been working in the collection industry since the 90s. I found myself taking notes. Excellent 👍

This is a really great video... I work collections with an outsourced agency and we didn't get the best more detailed training and these videos really are giving me some better guidance to handle my calls. Thanks you

This actually made me excited to apply for a job in collections. I need a little more info before I get back into this type of work, but I was reminded that collectors are human and can possibly be better received by the debtor. Thank you!

I'm in my first collections job, what are the most common push backs you guys deal with and how do you deal with them/what do you usually say to try and overcome them?

When you do business with clients, it’s not at all uncommon for them to fall behind on their payments. As a result of the economic downfall due to the recent pandemic, some customers find themselves struggling even more than usual to pay their bills. The solution for these customers is often a friendly call from a debt collector. 🙂

i started like 2 months ago and ive been feeling a little overwhelmed because i was struggling to understand the system although my supervisor pushed me into doing calls which was mainly doing transferring calls i learned the office script pretty fast they gave me a small amount of accounts to work on and that was leaving voicemails although im barely starting to get some knowledge on the accounts i still need more practice and just yet when its discussing with the debtors account and what not.

I asked a guy how he felt about his finances and he told me I was a nobody and he doesn’t have to tell me shit… he hung up… I felt like shit.

That guy must have been having an off day. You got to be made of sterner stuff brother. Collections is a tough place to work. And just because one guy reacted that way, shouldnt make you feel defensive.
      Dust off and move on

u can try to be as human as possible, but as soon as there is nothing you can to help their situation, for the single reason , what they want is just out of margins if your authority. u get screamed at, they try to lie to their way to a work around and so on.

I already know what you're doing. You're approaching them emotionally ans then attacking them mentally after you open them up. You're playing chess while they're playing goldfish. I see you 😏
