Also what are you currently playing on the HIFI at the moment ? I'm listening to some early Fleetwood Mac the Peter Green era and Buddy Guy. I've recently started to listening to a lot of Blues music and I've been enjoying that, mainly compilation albums trying to see who to focus on, the trouble is I like them all haha !! Anyway I hope you enjoy your weekend and the precipitation God's are kind to you for the next few days, Peace Buddy😊
Dylan recorded this in two versions on 19 May 1966 in a room at the North British Station Hotel, Glasgow, Scotland. This recording is the longest I heard and is maybe an edited version. This recording is released on Bootleg Series 12, collectors version. The song lasts a minute longer and the talking in the song is a minute later... The guitar is much brighter than the official version. It is Dylan, but maybe edeted.
I believe it’s the same two recordings, presenting to and going through the song with Robbie Robertson, spliced together and the mistakes and chatting cut out

They never seem to stop coming. At first I started real critical, thinking that wasn't Dylan's voice just another TH-camr trying to promote his song under Bob's name....but that didn't last even until the second verse. Yep, that's Dylan Awesome!

The quicker Jam with Robertson is the best song he never put on vinyl no contest -- right at his coolest point. No idea why he didn't record it properly it's fantastic, twice the speed of this one and been worked on more but not finished, the words are just fillers really he would have changed most. Can't believe he left this song behind
The best songs are always left forgotten.
So beautiful, such soulful vocals and soulful delivery, no one else could deliver this like Mr Dylan can
IT IS GodGiven
It makes me cry. Everything that is beautiful about youth and youthful longing is expressed here.
Its almost like God have us bob so that each of our deepest emotions could be recorded and we could feel a little less lonley in the world

What a melody…. A song like that… you’d think he’d have recorded it and not “leave it behind”!
I wish it was released. It sounds beautiful.
Such a gentle voice.

Rick and Richard were there as well, otherwise Robbie might have tried to steal this one too.
What the what?! Why can't I get this amazing song? Bobby, give it to us somehow, somewhere, sometime, please.
And I just can’t roam and to tell you the truth
I should come to this hotel
I will roam where she leads me, I do not know
Where she leads me, where she goes
I can’t find her nowhere
Whenever she comes by, it makes me hurt to see her cry
I just can't write, but I heard some place that I can't leave her behind
[this is good!]
Now you might think it’s foolish to be this way, and I can’t say to her
And you might think it’s ugly, to go back to her too early
But I can’t find, you don’t know what it's worth to her
Where she leads me now
All aware, I just can’t hear her walk
I just can’t hear her talk, but oh, sometimes you know you will
And when she comes my way, I’ll just be listening at night and day
I will hear her say that I don’t wanna try
I cried lots of cryin' but I can't leave her behind
Now I go many times out of my way
I just hope you’ll hear me say that I still can't find it all true
But yet instead I've found if I don’t make it and you do I will swear to you
That if you don’t cry, try to ride the sign that I left behind [laughs]
Now she hit her wall back when I was young
And you might've thought, but I just can't
She knows she's the one and she still is young
And when I hurt for you more than I hurt for anyone
All my hurt has come on this song I just wrote
I swear I’d trade to you the whole wide world if you’d want, take it
I can’t help it but I try to tell to you that I just can’t leave her behind
Beautiful. Sad. Longing is Universal.

It has a bit of a Blood on the Tracks sound.
It does, and if you listen to some of the acoustic outtakes from BOTT's they surprising sound like early acoustic Dylan.
Interesting song. Hard to tell what's going on. haha
