They put Suga and JHope's verses together so you get one of them in each ear at the same time - but RM's verse, it splits in half and plays both halves at once, one in each ear. It's AMAZING.

One thing to note is they have very very very diverse music literally soft ballads to hard raps like these. They have literally experimented and done almost every genre and so if there isn't one song you like the is sure to be another. Tastes differ and that's obviously okay! But I do hope you look into their very diverse discography and maybe you'll find more that you like!
Yes, please check out the cypher series, as well as outro:tear and RM’s solo “do you”, the recent “intro:persona” , as well as his mixtape “mono”. RM writes 90% of BTS” lyrics. He’s their main lyricist and therefore the heart and soul of BTS’ messages. Honestly, they have the best rapline in the industry, imo. Also, if there is one song you dislike, its totally alright to say it, but you should not let it affect your overall opinion of the group or lower your expectations. I mean, prior to Dionysus, you liked boy with luv, fake love and Mic Drop. So just because you didn”t feel Dionysus as much shouldn’t suddenly drastically change your overall opinion of them. Please keep on giving them a chance, and yes, like many others suggested, do give their rap and hip hip songs a listen! 😊

A lot of people will be recommending Cyphers 1-4, which are great recommendations, but the rap-line also claps back at haters in the Cypher series, so I wanted to recommend a rap song that still showcases their pure rap skill, but does so in a more poetic fashion since it's not a standalone song, and goes with their album "Love Yourself: Tear."

I think you should react to Cypher Medley. Basically RM, Suga and J-Hope rapping all Cyphers 1, 2, 3 and 4. For Korean, they like "Ma City". And a lot of ARMY like "Beapsea". Maybe you can react to them next time.

This gem was produced by Suga. BTS really is impressive with their versatility. The rappers don't get enough credit, perhaps because they are always rock solid they are overlooked sometimes, but the definitely bring it when BTS needs it.
I think it would be cool if you react to Tomorrow or Let me know, both mainly composed by Suga. And Baepsae is one of the most iconics songs by BTS ;))) PD: As everyone said the cypher series (cypher 1, 2, 3, 4) are so great! Also, I recomend Outro: Her and Outro: Tear.
Thank you for another great reaction! It was so nice to hear someone praising RM and how he's actually quite savage too. Kim Namjoon takes a backseat a lot of times, because he takes his role as a leader seriously and uses it to raise others up. I think for that reason, as well as the criticisms he received in the past, we don't often get to see his full range. So having someone appreciate how clever and versatile he actually is, brings my heart a lot of joy. Ddaeng is easily one of my favorites of all their tracks, so thanks again 💜 You may also enjoy Cyphers 1-4 as well. Although perhaps not as solid as Ddaeng overall, it does show their growth as rappers really well. Each track has it's own memorable lines to it. One of my personal favs is Min Yoongi's (Suga) line, about taking people to Hong Kong with his tongue technology (Cypher 3). I think Cypher 2 has verses in reaction to bfree as well, so you'll probably enjoy that. Cypher 4 is iconic imho. And yeah...talking to you about all this (for so long too) makes me realize I'm majorly whipped, so awesome 😅 Thanks for that 😂
I really like RM's rapstyle because you can tell he studied the OG's and nowadays everyone sounds the same. He's clevver with words, mixes English and Korean, besides that also an amazing songwriter.

In my opinion BTS has one of the strongest rap line in the industry of K-pop. Just listen their solo works... it’s so great and you can clearly see that each member has different styles but that they also are very versatile in their way to rap too.
Some of my favorite raps from RM are from BTS's earlier tracks (like Spine breaker, We On and Rain) (when he was the most well known in the group and started most songs and had the most bars) and from collaborations with other rappers. I love his featuring in Buckubucku from MFBTY, Gajah from Geako (I can hear Geako's influence in RM's rap solo, intro Persona from their new album), and (just because he references lots of Tiger JK's legendary stuff instead of boasting about himself and the scratching is freaking fantastic) Timeless from Tiger JK's farewell album. I used to think that only Suga and Jhope were improving in rap but then I heard some of the more recent demo's RM made for the rest of BTS and saw his credits for not only lyrics and production but arranging the raps and realized the flow change ups and versatility that we see in Jhopes verses and bridges are sometimes from RM (for example fake love and boy with love). He was considered something of a rap prodigy when he started in the underground scene at 14 and started making a name for himself by 15. He had a reputation versatility and for being able to flow over any track and change his flow multiple times in a verse. I think as someone who writes most of the lyrics for BTS (not including most of Suga's verses and the majority of Jhope's), and how many albums they put out (3 a year at least), and how often they tour and are filming mv's, Run BTS, Bon Voyage, and all the interviews he has, I think he doesn't always get to focus on his rap like the others do but when he does, he kills it, as he did in Persona (old school spitting) and Moonchild (lyrical rap). He has been getting into other genre's for along time. Some of his baby's that I adore are all of his mixtape, Mono, Spring Day and Sea (he wrote this years ago for a mixtape but then a couple years after took it out to play with and PDBang wanted him to expand it for BTS so it became a hidden track on Love yourself Her and my favorite track. You should react to it. There are lyric videos on TH-cam.
The rappers have diff styles in writing and rapping RM - uses metaphors and wordplays...very deep Suga- lyrics are direct J-Hope - his lyrics reflects and feels as if he is also dancing (this is what I feel esp. His 'Just Dance')
Thank god Ddaeng is as good as it is, otherwise I feel like you'd say 'I get what BTS is now, and they're somewhat underwhelming, so I'm just going to move on from them'. These guys are good indeed, and I am mourning the fact that Korean is not my native language, so I can only read translations and appreciate the flow they use... _sigh_ Rappers from BTS have many more amazing tracks that you could either make videos on or just listen for your own enjoyment, off camera. Vocalists also have songs that are worth listening to, and most of the time it is RM who writes lyrics for them. He loves his world plays, as you heard in Ddaeng. :] I know you said that you weren't expecting much from recommendations prior to this track, so I'm hesitant to even suggest more songs... But hey. I can at least try and point you towards some good tracks? The three rappers roast their haters some more in their 'Cypher' series. Parts 2 and 3 stand out to me personally. They also have a passionate Outro:Tear, that I think you would like if only for production. RM's very different side can be heard on his 'mono' project, with tracks like Forever Rain, Seoul, Uhgood. My favorite BTS Suga song has to be True Love, and as AgustD it's probably The Last. J-Hope's rapping feels the most versatile to me, in terms of voice change-ups at least. I especially love Hope World, Base Line and Daydream from his 'Hope World' mixtape. BTS have some pretty upbeat hip-hop tracks, such as Ma City, in which boys pay homage to cities they came from (none of them are from Seoul). I think it'd also be interesting for you to listen to their remake of 'Come Back Home' by _the_ Seo Taiji, who asked them to perfom that song himself. :] Other suggestions of BTS together, or just vocalists: Tomorrow; 뱁새; Stigma; Lie; Home; Persona; House of Cards; Sea; Born Singer (that I recommend to listen as a live performance, starting in 2015); Blood, Sweat & Tears (that I strongly recommend watching the MV for). Finally, ages ago they had a very fun little song called 팔도강산 in which they rap in dialects. :] There you go, so much stuff, and it's just the surface. Again, if you decide to not make any more Bangtan videos, that's fine, but at least you can listen to these by yourself, because they're amazing songs! In any way, I'll stick around your channel because your knowledge on music goes really deep, and there's nothing better than listening to a person of great knowledge and experience talk. Oh, and your voice is like honey pouring into my ears, so there's that. _(was that too weird? sorry!)_

I don't like to rank the 3 of them b/c they all have different strengths, styles, and vocal timbres, but I've always viewed RM as the best; it's just that he doesn't get to showcase it a ton in BTS' big songs b/c the rapping is always tailored to the song so that everything feels cohesive. With that said, if there was just 1 more song I could recommend that truly shows off the rap-line, it's "Outro: Tear." That song is a league of its own when it comes to rapping.

In terms of songs like this, then I think you'll like their other songs such as 뱁새 or Am I Wrong otherwise, any of their Cyphers are awesome diss tracks too. I'd also recommend Suga's song, AGUST D, which is a very very lit diss track from his mixtape

I presume that you knew that recently BTS won Top Social Artist for 3rd year at BBMA and also won the most important award Top Group/Duo among the other American top artists. We're very proud for them!!
Sorry but these are definitely Korean instruments 대금(dae geum), 소금(so geum) and 가야금(gayageum). They may sound similar to Chinese instruments but they are very distinct from them. BTS has no reason to use Chinese instruments when they are so very proud of their heritage as seen in many of their MVs and songs.

I was really hoping to see it live on tour. Considering I was born in the states and grew up with more hiphop music (I'm 37 btw), it was the rapline that caught my attention first. I wish I knew Korean so I can understand the depth of the lyrics, I heard from our K-ARMYs that it went so hard they wished we could truly understand it. So seeing your reactions + the gushing makes it quite evident at how much of a masterpiece this song is. I do hope to see more releases like Ddaeng in the future, but I absolutely love all of their songs from debut to present. I think tjis song really showcases the members lyrical capabilities and production abilities. This one was released as an anniversary present to the fans and you can actually see a little behind the scenes footage of how it was made in their bangtan bomb prom party video on their channel bangtantv.

Before that I only used to listen to Eminem. You should also listen to their Cypher series 1-4 diss tracks where each of their individual style in rapping and growth is highlighted. Outro: Tear is my favorite Rapline track. RM is known for his talent in writing lyrics and he is exceptional in wordplay. Please listen to Do you and Joke from his first mixtape. He also has collabs with Warren G, Wale and Fall out Boy.

Thank you for another great reaction! It was so nice to hear someone praising RM and how he's actually quite savage too. Kim Namjoon takes a backseat a lot of times, because he takes his role as a leader seriously and uses it to raise others up. I think for that reason, as well as the criticisms he received in the past, we don't often get to see his full range. So having someone appreciate how clever and versatile he actually is, brings my heart a lot of joy. Ddaeng is easily one of my favorites of all their tracks, so thanks again 💜
You may also enjoy Cyphers 1-4 as well. Although perhaps not as solid as Ddaeng overall, it does show their growth as rappers really well. Each track has it's own memorable lines to it. One of my personal favs is Min Yoongi's (Suga) line, about taking people to Hong Kong with his tongue technology (Cypher 3). I think Cypher 2 has verses in reaction to bfree as well, so you'll probably enjoy that. Cypher 4 is iconic imho. And yeah...talking to you about all this (for so long too) makes me realize I'm majorly whipped, so awesome 😅 Thanks for that 😂

I really like RM's rapstyle because you can tell he studied the OG's and nowadays everyone sounds the same. He's clevver with words, mixes English and Korean, besides that also an amazing songwriter.

In my opinion BTS has one of the strongest rap line in the industry of K-pop. Just listen their solo works... it’s so great and you can clearly see that each member has different styles but that they also are very versatile in their way to rap too.
Some of my favorite raps from RM are from BTS's earlier tracks (like Spine breaker, We On and Rain) (when he was the most well known in the group and started most songs and had the most bars) and from collaborations with other rappers. I love his featuring in Buckubucku from MFBTY, Gajah from Geako (I can hear Geako's influence in RM's rap solo, intro Persona from their new album), and (just because he references lots of Tiger JK's legendary stuff instead of boasting about himself and the scratching is freaking fantastic) Timeless from Tiger JK's farewell album. I used to think that only Suga and Jhope were improving in rap but then I heard some of the more recent demo's RM made for the rest of BTS and saw his credits for not only lyrics and production but arranging the raps and realized the flow change ups and versatility that we see in Jhopes verses and bridges are sometimes from RM (for example fake love and boy with love). He was considered something of a rap prodigy when he started in the underground scene at 14 and started making a name for himself by 15. He had a reputation versatility and for being able to flow over any track and change his flow multiple times in a verse. I think as someone who writes most of the lyrics for BTS (not including most of Suga's verses and the majority of Jhope's), and how many albums they put out (3 a year at least), and how often they tour and are filming mv's, Run BTS, Bon Voyage, and all the interviews he has, I think he doesn't always get to focus on his rap like the others do but when he does, he kills it, as he did in Persona (old school spitting) and Moonchild (lyrical rap). He has been getting into other genre's for along time. Some of his baby's that I adore are all of his mixtape, Mono, Spring Day and Sea (he wrote this years ago for a mixtape but then a couple years after took it out to play with and PDBang wanted him to expand it for BTS so it became a hidden track on Love yourself Her and my favorite track. You should react to it. There are lyric videos on TH-cam.

RM - uses metaphors and wordplays...very deep
Suga- lyrics are direct
J-Hope - his lyrics reflects and feels as if he is also dancing (this is what I feel esp. His 'Just Dance')
Thank god Ddaeng is as good as it is, otherwise I feel like you'd say 'I get what BTS is now, and they're somewhat underwhelming, so I'm just going to move on from them'.
These guys are good indeed, and I am mourning the fact that Korean is not my native language, so I can only read translations and appreciate the flow they use... _sigh_
Rappers from BTS have many more amazing tracks that you could either make videos on or just listen for your own enjoyment, off camera.
Vocalists also have songs that are worth listening to, and most of the time it is RM who writes lyrics for them. He loves his world plays, as you heard in Ddaeng. :]
I know you said that you weren't expecting much from recommendations prior to this track, so I'm hesitant to even suggest more songs... But hey. I can at least try and point you towards some good tracks?
The three rappers roast their haters some more in their 'Cypher' series. Parts 2 and 3 stand out to me personally.
They also have a passionate Outro:Tear, that I think you would like if only for production.
RM's very different side can be heard on his 'mono' project, with tracks like Forever Rain, Seoul, Uhgood.
My favorite BTS Suga song has to be True Love, and as AgustD it's probably The Last.
J-Hope's rapping feels the most versatile to me, in terms of voice change-ups at least. I especially love Hope World, Base Line and Daydream from his 'Hope World' mixtape.
BTS have some pretty upbeat hip-hop tracks, such as Ma City, in which boys pay homage to cities they came from (none of them are from Seoul).
I think it'd also be interesting for you to listen to their remake of 'Come Back Home' by _the_ Seo Taiji, who asked them to perfom that song himself. :]
Other suggestions of BTS together, or just vocalists:
Tomorrow; 뱁새; Stigma; Lie; Home; Persona; House of Cards; Sea; Born Singer (that I recommend to listen as a live performance, starting in 2015); Blood, Sweat & Tears (that I strongly recommend watching the MV for).
Finally, ages ago they had a very fun little song called 팔도강산 in which they rap in dialects. :]

I don't like to rank the 3 of them b/c they all have different strengths, styles, and vocal timbres, but I've always viewed RM as the best; it's just that he doesn't get to showcase it a ton in BTS' big songs b/c the rapping is always tailored to the song so that everything feels cohesive. With that said, if there was just 1 more song I could recommend that truly shows off the rap-line, it's "Outro: Tear." That song is a league of its own when it comes to rapping.

In terms of songs like this, then I think you'll like their other songs such as 뱁새 or Am I Wrong otherwise, any of their Cyphers are awesome diss tracks too.
I'd also recommend Suga's song, AGUST D, which is a very very lit diss track from his mixtape

Sorry but these are definitely Korean instruments 대금(dae geum), 소금(so geum) and 가야금(gayageum). They may sound similar to Chinese instruments but they are very distinct from them. BTS has no reason to use Chinese instruments when they are so very proud of their heritage as seen in many of their MVs and songs.

Hello! New follower here. I enjoy watching your reactions. You are very honest and I respect your opinions to all of BTS' videos. Ddaeng is one of my favorite. I was really hoping to see it live on tour. Considering I was born in the states and grew up with more hiphop music (I'm 37 btw), it was the rapline that caught my attention first. I wish I knew Korean so I can understand the depth of the lyrics, I heard from our K-ARMYs that it went so hard they wished we could truly understand it. So seeing your reactions + the gushing makes it quite evident at how much of a masterpiece this song is. I do hope to see more releases like Ddaeng in the future, but I absolutely love all of their songs from debut to present.

I think tjis song really showcases the members lyrical capabilities and production abilities. This one was released as an anniversary present to the fans and you can actually see a little behind the scenes footage of how it was made in their bangtan bomb prom party video on their channel bangtantv.
It would be cool to see you react to Love by RM, since it plays around with korean language! Most of the reactors don't really know korean, so they aren't really able to appreciate the song to it's fullest.

Thank you for reacting to Ddaeng. BTS do have one of best raplines. To be honest I only started truly appreciating the beauty of rapping after I got into BTS. Before that I only used to listen to Eminem. You should also listen to their Cypher series 1-4 diss tracks where each of their individual style in rapping and growth is highlighted. Outro: Tear is my favorite Rapline track.
RM is known for his talent in writing lyrics and he is exceptional in wordplay. Please listen to Do you and Joke from his first mixtape. He also has collabs with Warren G, Wale and Fall out Boy.
