This song really touches my heart as a description of my relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ. He's the best that ever happened to me. Still, while listening to the lyrics I sometimes think about my beloved husband. That's beautiful how a true marital love is an image of God's love.

Nate Wick I've tried nearly everything to get me happy and high none of them could ever compare or satisfy me until I surrendered MY life to God and Jesus Christ and praise and feel His presence. There is nothing like the presence of God and when you worship Him with all your heart and mind and soul. You will feel His amazing presence. You can feel how good and holy He is. He is pure light and love. It is too much to bear I still cry when I feel it because it is overwhelming how good holy and loving He is. And unlike drugs, sex or any other addiction His presence heals, restores, renews and revives you. All other addictions do is destroy your life. I will be like a new person after being in the presence of God. That is His amazing grace. So keep your drugs I will choose God everyday because of what He does for me and His great love for me which nothing in the world can compare to. I would rather loose myself in God than any drugs.

I've been addicted to cocaine and crack I've meet a someone who has helped me a lot to stay clean and now my sobriety date is now may 18th 2016 this song reminds me of her and I want to be a better person now

I really love Skillet, because even though they're a Christian rock band, they get in touch with everyone. I'm Catholic, and I'm a big fan of the belief that no one has to be Christian to actually go to Heaven, and I truly believe that God accepts everyone, LGBT, atheist or no matter what. That's why I love Skillet, because I think as far as God goes, they embody Him very well. Also, God is seen in people, not in a book or in a church, and I see people saying things like “This doesn't remind me of God, but so and so...” And I really like that, a lot. Because it's always nice, in real life, to have an alternative to drugs, be it God, or a girl or a boy.
So I think that Skillet defiantly embodies an accepting God.
Let me start off with, there is no God, "God" is a made up story to keep people from doing things they shouldn't be doing, you may as well believe in Santa Claus too because... well you know he's real I swear someone said he is

This is why Skillet is so great. Even with a song about god they pour so much meaning into the music that an atheist such as myself can relate. I relate this song to a special someone. I have used many drugs in my life, and I know the feeling of someone being better then drugs. That someone you would stop using for just to be around. A feeling you can't understand without using. The music fills me with thoughts that flood my emotions.
