I had some loser CLAIMING to be in the Army, stationed in Texas. We chatted for a grand total of 3 days--maybe a total of 7 hours, if that. He started calling me sweetheart and oh we were soulmates & he wanted a life with me...blah blah dweeb dweeb. And he was a widower (of course) and his elderly mother had his 8 yr old son in upstate N.Y. So he launches right into his mother has no money to feed his poor little son. And he needed me to send him money & he couldnt leave the base. And Im thinking ok, then how would he get this money to his starving mother & kid? I told him I didnt have the money and he got real snotty with me & said "you could help me if you wanted to". And I answered, "Ya know..you're right. Drop dead!" That was 2 years ago & I just saw a video on most used pictures by scammers & I recognized my would be scammer (or the pic he or she was using.) It belongs to a real life soldier named John Burke. He probably has no idea that his picture was stolen & I'm sure he's innocent. I feel bad for HIM because he's a victim too. If you have been a victim to romance scammers, gather all the evidence and information involved for their form and seek assistance with Losangelesacfe@gmailcom certified government officials that offers a list of investigation and restitution services for free that can assist you at this difficult time. It was helpful in my situation.
@@joer736 yea you do though come on... Indian dude named Kevin telling you to buy Amazon gift cards should be obvious. There job is literally aimed at dumbasses and very old people
Happened to me today. I accidentally subscribed to an app and I for some reason wasn’t able to unsubscribe from it. Looked up the Apple support number and the first number that came up, was India’s “Apple support”. I thought it would be a simple task to just simply call and get the subscription cancelled, but the guy on told me that fraudulent charges had been being made on a dating app somewhere in New Jersey. He said to refund the money we would have to buy eBay gift cards and give them the number. After every gift card we got, he would tell us we need more and more and more. They stole $1,600 from us. I no longer have the money for my college books, gas money, etc. Looking back, I was so stupid to fall for that, but the fact that it was the first number that came up made me think it was genuine....ugh.
They took my wife for $3,000 before she finally figured that it was a scam....and she has a doctorate and very high IQ. Needless to say, I am pretty pissed at my wife for being so gullible. She said they play on your emotions and sense of urgency.
My dad got scammer phone calls 2 times today and then the scammer said apple support and he said I don’t own apple device and he faked he didn’t say apple support and he trolled him sooo badly lol
I know my friends dad fell for it , he thought he was getting apple support for his pc but they said that system became corrupted... They demanded he buy gift cards for payment. It was a large amount of money they wanted. I think he may have figured it out at last moment as he spoke to everyone at his work about it.
They almost got me on my PC. I actually called, and I started to give my credit card number.. I'm like wait a minute! I just purchased this computer. How could I possibly have a virus 😂. oh wait are you trying to scam me? Well if thats the case " time to pull the fucking plug".....
They were calling my phone every twenty minutes. Play along without giving them any information. Waste this idiots time. Right when they want to get you to do something to link into your device, say your laptop is at the repair shop, and your other devices are charging. Then? Offer to give them your username and password as this is the only way to give them immediate access to your icloud account to repair the damage. Usernames are usually email addresses. Spell out your insult of choice using the International spelling code with numbers in between words. By the time you get to saying @? They look up to realize you just insulted them and you hear the dial tone. You might need to repeat once or twice, but by then their supervisor is running to the robocall machine to delete your phone number. You gotta have a plan.
“I’m not stupid I’m not a gullible person.”
*Gets scanned into give 800 dollars to said scammer*

"i am not stupid" i paid 800 to someone that was asking for 200 because of a message
