- Welcome to Cebu! Today we take you along with us on a travel day leaving Coron and flying to Cebu which is the OLDEST city in the Philippines! Our travels so far have been quite smooth as this is our 4th destination in 2 weeks here in the Philippines! Wow! We are keen to get stuck into the vast variety of culture and traditions this city has to offer. After landing we take a 30 minute drive to our hotel and search for some food! We seek out a beautiful church and find a street food cart before we then head off to a tasty Mexican restaurant La Lucha Taqueria! Some of the best Mexican food we have had! Absolutely 10/10!

The church "Iglesia ni Cristo" was founded in 1913 and registered in 1914. There's a lot of Iglesia ni Cristo churches around the world especially in the Philippines as it was founded here. That church you saw looks like a new one though. Glad you like it ❤️ Enjoy your trip here in the PH guys!

Welcome to Cebu!! Here are a few places I can suggest. Enjoy!!!!
Northern Cebu:
Bantayan Island and/or Malapascua Island - beaches
Camotes Island - beaches as well
Southern Cebu:
Oslob, Cebu - swimming with whale sharks, and Sumilon Island is just a few kilometers away
Kawasan Falls, Badian - canyoneering and waterfalls (although, IDK what it looks like now since it was hit pretty hard in one of the strongest hurricanes that hit Cebu just last December)
Osmena Peak- hiking to the top to see a wonderful view of the mountains
Central Cebu (City):
Busay (or Transcentral Highway)- there are a bunch of places to go to: Tops Busay - city view especially at night, Temple of Leah - the temple with a cute backstory, etc.
Fort San Pedro or Museo Sugbo - Museum and history
Basilica Minore del Santo Nino- the home of the original and oldest religious relic in the Philippines in honor of the Holy Child Jesus (Sto. Nino), wear appropriate clothing since it's a church
SM Seaside- one of the biggest malls in Asia, you also get to see a glimpse of the newly constructed bridge that is the longest in the Philippines, it's about to open by the end of this month
Food:
Rico's Lechon, or the House of Lechon- good restaurants within the city to try Cebu's (and the Philippines') best Lechon, but the best-best Lechon is found in Carcar which you can pass on the way to Southern Cebu
You can try the food park in Il Corso (near Seaside), there are some local dishes there you can try, like 'Tuslob Buwa', or go to 'Sugbo Mercado' in 'IT park'.

@@ShevandDev if your going near kawasan, you might want to visit moalboal, famous for the sardine run and turtles (if your lucky). you can do it for free also.
EDIT: if your going near oslob, you might want to drop by and visit a church called SIMALA PARISH CHURCH. its one of the biggest if not the biggest church in the philippines.
cebu also have lots of beautiful waterfalls (some are famous but most are hidden gems located all over the island) and white beaches.

If I remember correctly that rice wrapped in coconut leaves is called pusó. It’s been a while that I’ve visited Cebu, it looks so different now.
I'm from Cebu. There's a lot of touristy spots in the North (bantayan, malapascua) and in the south (moalboal, badian, oslob whale sharks)

this is true. It's like Manila and not Manila at the same time. It has its own charm that makes it unique and familiar at the same time.
The city is like Manila, but the difference is the white sand beaches, waterfalls, mountains..

If you like mountain views you can go to trancentral high located in lahug you can visit there the temple of leah , sirao garden , tops and little kyoto ..
In southern part of cebu you can also visit the beautiful beaches of alcoy and also the kawasan falls...lastly dont forget to eat lechong baboy👍🏼
The Taoist temple could be a nice place to go and it's on a hill where you can have a nice view of the city.

Thank you for appreciating the INC church. If you think that's the prettiest you've seen, if you have time when you are back in manila, go to Quezon city central temple, just take a grab. And I'm sure the temple will blow your mind. It sits 7000 people in just one service.

The area that you are right now is the Mango Avenue known for bars before the pandemic, if you have to explore Cebu City you can go to the downtown area where you will experience the old version of Cebu where you can buy cheaper food and lots of street foods (but just try to be more careful in your things :) ) places to go in downton area are:
1. Port San Pedro
2. Casa Gorordo
3. Plaza Independencia (you can see the third bridge of Cebu connecting to Mactan Island throuh Cordova)
4. Carbon Market
5. Parian
6. Sto. Niño Church
7. Magellan's Cross (just adjacent to Sto. Niño Church and Cebu City Hall)
8. Tisa (you can try the famous siomai)
While if you wanna feel the City leaving thing you can go to Uptown Area which is the business center of Cebu (IT Park and Ayala) but prices are much higher for food.
For Malls you can visit the 4 Major Malls of Cebu
1. SM Seaside (3rd biggest Mall in the Philippines if I'm not mistaken)
2. Robinson's Galleria
3. Ayala Terraces
4. SM Cebu
Then if you wanna feel the nature and wanted to see Cebu scenery you can go to:
1. Top's of Cebu
2. Temple of Leah
3. Sirao Garden
Lastly below are the famous food in Cebu City

From La Lucha, go out and follow the road across Mango Square until you find Pungko Pungko stall! Try one of the most known streetfood in our city which is the Ginabot! 💯 Recommend you try Siomai sa Tisa, Tuslob Buwa and ofc Cebu's Lechon. These are food you'll experience only in Cebu City 😉

Welcome to Cebu! Home to the most beautiful people in the Philippines. Also the tastiest cuisine and amazing waterfalls. You must go to Sirao little Amsterdam and Temple of Leah. If you want a cool trip take a motorcycle up into the mountains to a place called West 35. Just be sure to wear a hoodie if you go because it is cooler up there.

Yes Shev and Dev, i recommend you two try the Cebu's infamous lechon. You guys are healthy and young, just don't eat too much pork. Not recommended for those people with high blood pressure to eat fatty food. Lechon will be their ticket to heaven...lol. God bless

@@Kim-ci6po Please not at Larsian. A lot of Cebuanos like me will not recommend Larsian anymore to their friends outside Cebu due to "economic" and hygienic reasons. But hopefully, they have improved a lot. Instead they can go to "Sugbu Mercado at IT Park" or Mattias Grill at Mandaue

Bantayan Island, an island belonging to Cebu on the northernmost part. Amazing turquoise waters, not too touristy, fantastic little bars...make sure you book your accommodation before you go there. A private island called Virgin island bext to Bantayan island is open to public. Truly an a beautiful island with white sand, plenty of marine life around it.

Try the weekend night food market called Sugbo Mercado in Cebu IT Park and another at Cebu Business Park. They both operate from Thursday to Sunday between 4PM and 1AM. You can find all sorts of international food here in addition to local Cebuano favorites.

I am from the Netherlands and live with my filipina in Cebu. Don't forget to visit the populair daily Carbon market, ( very cheap) and the Ayala shopping mall. On top of the mall is a nice bar called Social bar where you can sit outside and enjoy live music in the weekend and nice drinks and foods. Colon area in Cebu is where most locals go to cheap shopping. We subscribed and follow you from now.... :) Welcome and have a nice time in Cebu.
I'm a huge fan. Yes there are many nice tourist spots in Cebu plus the food and hotel rates are very much cheaper compared to Manila!! You can also visit Bohol province just accross Cebu island.

The true treasure in the Philippines is the 2nd largest island of the archipelago, Mindanao. Relatively a lot more affordable. Very friendly people,amazing sights, delectable cuisine. If you are adventurous, this is the place.
