The hate towards TXT makes me want to cry, they are my ult group and see their talents and amazing personalities more than anything, they are so funny, so talented and they deserve better. They arent talked about enough.
BTS dynamite is a song that doesn’t fit their vocals its not that they cant sing because they are obviously well trained and skilled, it’s a problem with how famous they are; they have literally went from unknown to the most famous in the world I discovered them in 2014 and the first thing i ever saw was american hustle life where they were so unknown to the point of giving free concerts. Their fame has increased steadily but as their fanbase grew it became more and more diverse and their music would have to adapt to fit. Older songs like spine breaker (my personal fav!!) and new songs like dynamite show how much their music has changed. When before they felt more free to create what they wanted and must’ve felt much more creative now they are restricted thinking about how huge of an audience they will reach with their music. Because of this their new music has become more digestible, easy to listen to and catchy. It would also be hard to talk on certain topics but at the same time theyve discussed many topics that affect everyone, but thats the point. *affect everyone* in music when lyrics are simple and vague they become more popular since more and more people are able to relate or just listen to. They are very skilled and talented but at this point in their career they are smart to be cautious and thoughtful about what they release. Dynamite is one of those songs anyone can listen to because its not very... meaningful? Is the word? Its just a fun catchy song. BTS have very diverse talent and vocals and this song is just so different from what each of them would naturally fit into.

I definitely see what you’re saying. Since they have a way bigger fan base now, they have to think more about what the majority would like since they cater to a bigger audience. It’s not that they are doing it for the money, they just have to try and make more people happy now. That’s why some people might say that they like BTS’ old music opposed to the new stuff. The new stuff is supposed to sound more mainstream, because BTS is now mainstream. Expanding their audience is fine, but some people act like they can’t make an English song because they’re “searching for western approval” or like they are trying to fit in which is kinda dumb in my opinion since they already have a lot of western and English-speaking fans that they are trying to please.
Ok I got two things I thought about 1. I think it's really annoying how people always talk about how TXT is only popular because of BTS. Because if they can say it about TXT then we got to start saying it about Blackpink, Itzy, Red Velvet, Twice, 2ne1, ikon, NCT and many others. If one group can get tons of hate for it people need to stop saying g it's not like the for other groups. 2. The one about BTS not caring for fans and fame getting to their head really made my head turn sideways to be honest. I think it's really annoying how people claim BTS is now all about money and fame now. BTS put their hearts and souls into their job because they love it. But if they don't make money they can't do what they do. The company can't make all the great stages, amazing music videos, and great tours. All the products that come out are from the company and its not the companies job to care about us. The idols care for us. The companies do things and make the idols money that's just how it goes. It's like that in the west also. BTS have also had to change a bit and grow up because now they are on a much different level. They are now worldwide wide so they really can't be a free as they once were. They give army lots of content like BTS runs. They create free songs for armys to listen to. And they still do Vlives and much more. And if people think BTS is all about money now then we need to talk about a lot of idols. Because all idols need to make money whether we like it or not. So yeah they need to sell tickets for a concert. Money goes to more than just the artist. There are lots of crew who have to pay for their own living expenses also. BTS didn't change because of fame. They grew up and got more responsibilities. They have people invading their life every day from reporters to overly obsessed fans. They can't just share things all the time and I think that goes for all idols. We also don't know what they are going through. I really think the person who wrote that just doesn't like BTS but I just think it's weird they choose one specific artist when lots could also fit that type.

i agree. bts have released so many songs, and most of them are different. bsides, maybe not, but title tracks, yes. they have songs like idol and songs like i need u. i feel like every comeback we've gotten were all different styles, they all varied a lot imo. of course, we've gotten songs with similar concepts such as dynamite and boy with luv, and run and i need u. i think this is what attracted me to become an army in the first place. i did join the fandom because of the quality of their songs but also because my taste is really diverse and there weren't many pop artists that had such a diverse discography. and it's nice because even in their latest release they tried out something new, contemporary. i also love their besides because of how great they are, we have different genres such as best of me, paradise, and coffee.

Anyways, whether paid or not, imo BTS along with SKZ, specially Bangchan, does seem sincerely thankful/grateful for their fans (excluding territorial/delusional fans) genuine love and support for their actual work, it does seem genuine (other than the "xyz fans are our gf/bf", forced aegyo or those forced ships related fanservice). Well I don't know about you but if I or anyone else were in their shoes, I and some people alike, would definitely be thankful for the fans love, and in return would like to return it as much as the busy schedule allows, if we are actually getting paid for it then it will be a sweet bonus, whereas for ungrateful people, just another unwanted task that comes with being famous. To the opinion about bts being partial to America and not caring about ARMY: America is one of the most diverse countries when I comes to music and bts is one of the biggest names in Kpop which is a genre that has been growing tremendously over the years. And secondly they are musical artists, music is their content. That is what they give to ARMY. About Blackpink vs TWICE on vocals I feel like it should be said that Both Jihyo and Jeongyeon are better vocalists than all blackpink members and Nayeon is about the same level as Rose. Rose is the only member that can support and use actual technique whereas all of 3mix have developed proper support, but now if you get onto the sub vocalists of TWICE, Chaeyoung has supported a G#4 before. Now she isn't really consistent with it but has demonstrated she has potential to develop an actual supported range, not to mention Mina also shows the potential. Jennie is the only member of blackpink that I feel like has the potential to also develop support but rn she doesn't have any and technique wise I'd still place her about the same as MiChaeng. Now onto Jisoo/Lisa, this might be really controversial but I honestly don't see the difference in their singing, like they're right about the same level and honestly I'd place them just below MiChaeng around Sana. I'm not trying to say blackpink are inferior vocalists or anything here because they clearly don't need to be anything phenomenal when they have one solid vocalist and 3 decent ones when their music is set in their comfortable ranges and they use a lot of rap, but as a whole I really wouldn't say Blackpink is a better group vocally when TWICE has 3 members on the same level or above their main vocal and then even have sub vocals on the same level as their leads.
I agree. Technically Twice are better than Blackpink in vocals. I guess most people who say Blackpink are better just prefer their vocals. Including me hehe. It's just that they all have very distinctive and different tones of voices than most girl groups. Like the contrast of the colour of tone of the three vocalists. The contraat between the two rappers. Most ggs kinda have the same voice color and tone which makes it very hard to distinguish them. But obviously jihyo and jeongyeon are way better technically.

The hate towards TXT makes me want to cry, they are my ult group and see their talents and amazing personalities more than anything, they are so funny, so talented and they deserve better. They arent talked about enough.
BTS dynamite is a song that doesn’t fit their vocals its not that they cant sing because they are obviously well trained and skilled, it’s a problem with how famous they are; they have literally went from unknown to the most famous in the world I discovered them in 2014 and the first thing i ever saw was american hustle life where they were so unknown to the point of giving free concerts. Their fame has increased steadily but as their fanbase grew it became more and more diverse and their music would have to adapt to fit. Older songs like spine breaker (my personal fav!!) and new songs like dynamite show how much their music has changed. When before they felt more free to create what they wanted and must’ve felt much more creative now they are restricted thinking about how huge of an audience they will reach with their music. Because of this their new music has become more digestible, easy to listen to and catchy. It would also be hard to talk on certain topics but at the same time theyve discussed many topics that affect everyone, but thats the point. *affect everyone* in music when lyrics are simple and vague they become more popular since more and more people are able to relate or just listen to. They are very skilled and talented but at this point in their career they are smart to be cautious and thoughtful about what they release. Dynamite is one of those songs anyone can listen to because its not very... meaningful? Is the word? Its just a fun catchy song. BTS have very diverse talent and vocals and this song is just so different from what each of them would naturally fit into.

I definitely see what you’re saying. Since they have a way bigger fan base now, they have to think more about what the majority would like since they cater to a bigger audience. It’s not that they are doing it for the money, they just have to try and make more people happy now. That’s why some people might say that they like BTS’ old music opposed to the new stuff. The new stuff is supposed to sound more mainstream, because BTS is now mainstream. Expanding their audience is fine, but some people act like they can’t make an English song because they’re “searching for western approval” or like they are trying to fit in which is kinda dumb in my opinion since they already have a lot of western and English-speaking fans that they are trying to please.
Ok I got two things I thought about
1. I think it's really annoying how people always talk about how TXT is only popular because of BTS. Because if they can say it about TXT then we got to start saying it about Blackpink, Itzy, Red Velvet, Twice, 2ne1, ikon, NCT and many others. If one group can get tons of hate for it people need to stop saying g it's not like the for other groups.
2. The one about BTS not caring for fans and fame getting to their head really made my head turn sideways to be honest. I think it's really annoying how people claim BTS is now all about money and fame now. BTS put their hearts and souls into their job because they love it. But if they don't make money they can't do what they do. The company can't make all the great stages, amazing music videos, and great tours. All the products that come out are from the company and its not the companies job to care about us. The idols care for us. The companies do things and make the idols money that's just how it goes. It's like that in the west also. BTS have also had to change a bit and grow up because now they are on a much different level. They are now worldwide wide so they really can't be a free as they once were. They give army lots of content like BTS runs. They create free songs for armys to listen to. And they still do Vlives and much more. And if people think BTS is all about money now then we need to talk about a lot of idols. Because all idols need to make money whether we like it or not. So yeah they need to sell tickets for a concert. Money goes to more than just the artist. There are lots of crew who have to pay for their own living expenses also. BTS didn't change because of fame. They grew up and got more responsibilities. They have people invading their life every day from reporters to overly obsessed fans. They can't just share things all the time and I think that goes for all idols. We also don't know what they are going through. I really think the person who wrote that just doesn't like BTS but I just think it's weird they choose one specific artist when lots could also fit that type.
it's kinda weird to me how no one kpop stan wants to acknowledge how diverse bts r as artists and r with every comeback... they literally never had any comeback that was the same as the last.. from concepts to topics of discussion to genre,, I would even argue that they r alot more diverse than red velvet,,, AND THEY BOTH MY FAVS,, I feel like red velvet is diverse in that it's either a new take on rnb or pop depending on whether it's a red or velvet comeback

BTS as artists have always been interested in growing with their music and have outwardly stated they they don't like to repeat concepts and don't want to be limited by the bounds of kpop/Korean artist... like even of u rn't a fan of theirs or actively follow their releases, at least acknowledge and appreciate that fact that they don't like to be placed in a box and like to push themselves beyond the reach of the kpop industry
i agree. bts have released so many songs, and most of them are different. bsides, maybe not, but title tracks, yes. they have songs like idol and songs like i need u. i feel like every comeback we've gotten were all different styles, they all varied a lot imo. of course, we've gotten songs with similar concepts such as dynamite and boy with luv, and run and i need u. i think this is what attracted me to become an army in the first place. i did join the fandom because of the quality of their songs but also because my taste is really diverse and there weren't many pop artists that had such a diverse discography. and it's nice because even in their latest release they tried out something new, contemporary. i also love their besides because of how great they are, we have different genres such as best of me, paradise, and coffee.

About Blackpink vs TWICE on vocals I feel like it should be said that Both Jihyo and Jeongyeon are better vocalists than all blackpink members and Nayeon is about the same level as Rose. Rose is the only member that can support and use actual technique whereas all of 3mix have developed proper support, but now if you get onto the sub vocalists of TWICE, Chaeyoung has supported a G#4 before. Now she isn't really consistent with it but has demonstrated she has potential to develop an actual supported range, not to mention Mina also shows the potential. Jennie is the only member of blackpink that I feel like has the potential to also develop support but rn she doesn't have any and technique wise I'd still place her about the same as MiChaeng. Now onto Jisoo/Lisa, this might be really controversial but I honestly don't see the difference in their singing, like they're right about the same level and honestly I'd place them just below MiChaeng around Sana. I'm not trying to say blackpink are inferior vocalists or anything here because they clearly don't need to be anything phenomenal when they have one solid vocalist and 3 decent ones when their music is set in their comfortable ranges and they use a lot of rap, but as a whole I really wouldn't say Blackpink is a better group vocally when TWICE has 3 members on the same level or above their main vocal and then even have sub vocals on the same level as their leads.
I agree. Technically Twice are better than Blackpink in vocals. I guess most people who say Blackpink are better just prefer their vocals. Including me hehe. It's just that they all have very distinctive and different tones of voices than most girl groups. Like the contrast of the colour of tone of the three vocalists. The contraat between the two rappers. Most ggs kinda have the same voice color and tone which makes it very hard to distinguish them. But obviously jihyo and jeongyeon are way better technically.

my confession is that i actualyl really appreciate that blackpink tend to be quieter and more reserved, it feels a little more real to me, like they've all managed to settle into themselves and be comfortable with that since their debut, and they can still carry eloquent conversations with interviewers and hosts so I dont mind it at all - they know when they need to be louder (like variety shows) but that never feels forced to me.

I’ve just noticed that kpop stans get a lot of hate simply for the music they listen to. I’ve seen it on the internet and especially in the Netherlands (where I live). So about shipping in general: I don't think it's bad, as long as people don't go overboard. Like, I read a lot of fanfiction, including kpop fanfiction, and it's pretty much all romantic, but I'm not out here saying that people are dating. Just because I'm reading a YuMark fic rn doesn't mean I think Yuta and Mark are dating. I read fanfics for the plot and to see how fans of artists depict their personalities. I don't think any idols are necessarily dating and I think people getting het up about it is stupid and immature. I'm in my early teens and I can see that. Kpop fans are so dumb sometimes.
