This has to be one of the funniest stand alone episodes
For little bit of context on Chris, I seem to recall part of what shot him to fame were a bunch of challenges he did whilst touring. Such as getting pizza ordered to a train, which he managed to time just right. So he does have pedigree with this sort of thing.
I love that Bridget does one or two things brilliantly and then goes so far the other way. That is what makes her funny for me, to the point where she is a house queen.
15:14 and just like that, we’ve come full circle to Paul Chowdry asking “is this a step?” ten series ago
It's undoubtedly one of the all-time great episodes, dominated by Bridget's walking, and then backed up by the sausage spinning and Sophie's spread legged Greg impression.
If I was Quentin, I'd adopt the nickname Quantum for the rest of my life.
Btw, did you notice the podium he was standing on is a Q shape? Obviously not something the contestants would see, but it's a nice detail.
Solid episode. You're completely right about Ardal's dramatic scene, he's just naturally hilarious throughout. "He's the treasurer" cracks me up every time.
Then there's the iconic sausage spinning with Chris & Alex. Great use of slow motion. I think Chris would be a decent task writer with bizarre enough ideas like that.
And Quentin returns again in s18!!
Ardal being someone who acted as a detective. And then that being his performance of one is amazing
"Have you ever... walked?"
Now I can bring up my favorite comment/theory. Bridget becomes a cartoon character or a Looney Toons character when she is wearing that outfit, or from the hat. Like the change of her wearing that outfit, and her outside of it is such a huge change. I would 100% believe it is like the movie The Mask where when she puts it on, she can just do whatever she can think of. Since how else would you explain whatever that walk is.
You mean Looney Tunes.
I laughed harder at Chris & Alex and the sausage than anything I can remember!! On any show.😂😂 Every time I see it.
I’m excited for you to see the outtakes for the prize task, has an amazing Judi bit they cut out in the main show
Chris' attempt at the cement mixer task alwys sticks out in my mind like a sausage.
OMG Bridgette makes this season one of the best by herself lol
Godliman drilled holes in the fence when throwing stuff over into the golf course
I told you that Bridget walks the walk!
This episode is even funnier if you just watch Alex's face as he looses character.
I agree with the others who made a comment on the outtakes. The video is about an hour long, and I think is equal in quality in terms of entertainment, as an actual episode.
The outtakes that show off the full length of this prize task is pretty spectacular.
The cement mixer task is the task I use nowadays to try to sell people on this show.
That was your best prize task yet.
When Judi says 'quantum' and he hesitated, i went "oh it's quentin". Dumbest live task attempt ever lol
I knew even you would at least be on Chris' side for the sausage task haha
I have been waiting a very long time for you to reach this episode and the pedometer task. It´s one of those perfect tasks that are so simple and straight forward, yet somehow spirals into insanity.
Ardal O'Hanlon's group meeting was the closest to his comedy style that we've seen all series this far. Perhaps this one was recorded later in the series when he'd got more of a feel for what the tasks might be like.
Been waiting for this one
One little detail that you only catch on repeat viewings is that when Quentin is first presented to the panel and the audience, the rotating platform he's standing on is a giant Q. So it wasn't completely random guesswork, there were hints present.
Of the first six episodes, Chris Ramsey won two of them and tied for winning on another two of them. So you may think he has an unassailable lead here. But... he actually doesn't. He's still winning, mind you, but not by much. Current series scores as of the end of this episode place Chris on 97, Bridget on 93, Sophie on 91, Ardal on 87, and Judi on 78.
‘It’s been a while since I went to a hairdresser!’
Fish Water Fountain outtakes should have made the main edit!
Edit: keep updating us about off menu. I won’t rest until you’ve listened to Joe Thomas’s episode, especially as it’s so close to 🎄 🐑 🔥
I will listen to it next. I just listened to Paul Rudd answer for his sauce rumours, Rylans episode was hilarious too, as was More-timer and Franky Boyle's
@ the hotdog swirl! Paul Rudd answering back to aisling’s accusation was great!
Frankie Boyle is s15 taskmaster! The icing 😂
Joe Thomas is just fascinating - I don’t think he came across properly on tm s8.
@@Martianambassador-yc3pi who puts cream on spaghetti lol
I absolutely get that vibe with Greg and Bridget too. She had recently split from her husband, comedian Stewart Lee and Greg is single and a flirt.
Sophie is a lesbian and too young!
can’t wait for the blooper reactions. Fish water fountain is a non-moment in the episode but it’s a whole fiasco in the outtakes 😂
Sophie Duker is bisexual and too young.
Bridget and 'the comedians' comedian' ex-Herring partner and Sally Phillips Fist O Fun playmate Stewart Lee only separated around the time of this being filmed, so maybe flirting with a friend you've known for yonks who is also mates with your babydaddy is likely.... don't think boinking would be ont cards.
Sophie isn't lesbian she's bisexual
I do think, however, all three of the women on this season are using all the female tools at their disposal, including but not limited to sexuality, to bamboozle TM, lil AH and their male opponents. I reckon being on a team together activated bonkers babes at boarding school energy, either explicitly or subconsciously.
The taskmaster podcast is so much fun... but the next episode is the Bridget Christie interview, which I listened to hoping to gain some insight into how she thinks... and all I can say is I don't think even she knows what she's doing or why.
So is just this entire episode going to be in your favorite tasks list at the end of the season?
it might be lol
Chris was robbed in the tiebreak:
Chris = F#2-A4, 2 octaves and a minor 3rd, or using Alex's terms, 28 notes
Sophie = A3-A5, 2 octaves even.
As a musician, I was so annoyed when I first saw this. Sure, there may be extra footage where they hit the notes they said they did, but why not show that instead?
Water fountain fish.
I stopped myself on 12:50, the pedometer task.
It's so much fun!!!
Sgt Pepper easter egg is appreciated
Them some eagle ears lol you are my people
a diabetic coma doesnt count as being calm
It was not the sugar that was a problem there 😂
Adam foreshadowing the inevitable Stewart Lee vs Greg Davies car park scrap with the Bridget/Greg pairing discussion
What?
@ Bridget was married to Stewart Lee, though I found they separated a few tears ago after writing that comment tbh
@@geese5061 I knew she was married to him I'm confused by the "car park scrap" comment
@ fight in a car park over a woman. That’s a key part of the great British night out.
@@geese5061 showing your age (or ya 'pedigree') there petal.
I don't find Sophie funny at all - don't know why she gets so many points. Everyone else is hilarious, and she's just there, ruining the vibe
thats just like..your opinion man
I don't think she is that funny, but a lot of the tasks aren't graded on being funny (even if that's the whole point of the show). She is good at the tasks, that's why she makes points. Your comment makes no sense
