Paul Fey's re-harmonizations are nothing short of genius! The rich and unexpected tonal shifts brought a whole new dimension to "Lo! He Comes with Clouds Descending." The pipe organ's grandeur paired with these creative variations made for a breathtaking listening experience. Can't wait to hear more of his innovative takes on classics! 🎵🎹🌟

I was not familiar with this hymn tune, but I really like this powerful setting with bold and majestic harmonizations in the verses. This piece, of course, will be useful to accompany strong congregational singing. Also, it can be used as a positive affirming postlude. Thank you, Paul for this creative arrangement.
Don't mind but were you living under a rock? This is the most famous advent hymn for more than 100 years in all the English speaking and British colonised nations.
Dear Paul, thank you for your beautiful transcription of that beautiful advent hymn. I wasn’t familiar with it and was pleased to see the posted text of each verse. The text makes it that much more beautiful. I will certainly find it and teach it to our congregation. I love your passion for such God honoring music!❤. I don’t know if saw an earlier text, but I performed last evening your pieces Toccata in D major and Fanfare on Holy God we Praise Thy Name. They were well received! I love playing your music!❤. Thank you for being my inspiration!! 😊🙏 Royden
Hallo, lieber Paul. Danke für die festlichen Klänge am Sonntag. Sehr kraftvoll und perfekt von dir gespielt. Super. Ich wünsche dir noch einen schönen Sonntag und eine gute Woche. Liebe Grüße sendet dir Steffen aus Görlitz.
That was a triumphant entrance. What you do for Christmas is eagerly awaited. (I recently listened to a TH-cam video of Julian Zimmermann playing a Telemann Sonata with orchestra while looking for pieces with organ and trumpet. He is spectacular). From Chicago. U.S.A.
@g.k: There is also an Ouverture and suite by Julian Zimmermann and the Bremer barockorchestra, a very spectacular ensemble ❤❤❤ and these others Bremer pieces are similar 😊😊
@guydebergh7875 Thank you for the information. I'll look up more by the Bremer Orchestra. I first heard Julian Zimmermann when he played with Paul Fey in Goerlitz. We have the Music of the Baroque Chorus and Orchestra here. They use mostly modern instruments. From Chicago, U.S.A.
@@g.k.failla9389 I has discovered Julian Zimmermann by the same way as you. It was just a little part of the whole concert, very beautiful and spectacular certainly. About the Bremer orchestra, I love there Telemann renditions (with the beauty of the natural trumpet, the recorder etc) and, also, there improvisations latino type, completly different but so magic! The Chicago Symphonic orchestra is a very beautiful ensemble as well! From Chatou France (near Paris)
@guydebergh7875 Discovering new music is one of the good things about the internet. Maestro Riccardo Muti is now Music Director Emeritus for Life. So, a new Music Director for the Chicago Symphony will need to be chosen. From Chicago, U.S.A.

For those unfamiliar with this hymn, here are the lyrics (I admit that for speed I've culled them from the internet): Verse 1 Lo He comes with clouds descending Once for favoured sinners slain Thousand thousand saints attending Hail the King who comes again Hallelujah Hallelujah God appears on earth to reign Verse 2 Every eye shall now behold Him Robed in dreadful majesty Those who mocked despised and sold Him Pierced and nailed Him to the tree Deeply mourning Deeply mourning Shall the true Messiah see Verse 3 Now redemption long expected See with solemn joy appear All His saints by man rejected Meet their Saviour in the air Hallelujah Hallelujah See the day of God appear Verse 4 Yes amen let all adore Thee High on Your eternal throne Saviour take the power and glory Claim the kingdom for Your own Come Lord Jesus Come Lord Jesus O come quickly O come quickly Everlasting God come down
Dear Paul, thank you for that beautiful transcription of that beautiful advent hymn. I appreciated the lyrics being posted, because i am not familiar with that hymn. I will find it and be sure our congregation learns it. The music itself is gorgeous, but when the text is known it’s even more beautiful. Paul, you certainly have a love for God honoring music and I love that in you! I don’t know if you saw a text earlier, but I performed your Toccata in D major and Fanfare on “Holy God, We Praise Thy Name” at our annual missionary benefit concert. They were very well received! Keep on writing and transcribing those beautiful hymns that are so foundational to our faith in Christ!!❤. Royden
Herrlich. Das große Weihnachtskonzert in unserer Kathedrale am Heiligabend beginnt immer mit diesem Lied.

The loving news of a first Christmas.
He came in the clouds in 1972. He was joined in the clouds by ten thousand throughout the 1970s.

To have a congregation sing with this would be AMAZING!! Great job, Paul!
I live 15km away from this organ. Really fantastic to join organ concerts there!
Do not let malefactors induce you to reckon in meters.
Wunderbar Paul, ich wünsche Dir eine gute neue Woche. Liebe Grüße aus Castrop-Rauxel. Gerd 👏 👍 👏
Thank you, Paul! This is my all-time favourite Advent hymn. Your interpretation of it is inspirational!!
My thoughts exactly.

For those unfamiliar with this hymn, here are the lyrics (I admit that for speed I've culled them from the internet):
Verse 1
Lo He comes with clouds descending
Once for favoured sinners slain
Thousand thousand saints attending
Hail the King who comes again
Hallelujah Hallelujah
God appears on earth to reign
Verse 2
Every eye shall now behold Him
Robed in dreadful majesty
Those who mocked despised and sold Him
Pierced and nailed Him to the tree
Deeply mourning Deeply mourning
Shall the true Messiah see
Verse 3
Now redemption long expected
See with solemn joy appear
All His saints by man rejected
Meet their Saviour in the air
Hallelujah Hallelujah
See the day of God appear
Verse 4
Yes amen let all adore Thee
High on Your eternal throne
Saviour take the power and glory
Claim the kingdom for Your own
Come Lord Jesus Come Lord Jesus
O come quickly O come quickly
Everlasting God come down
