Heads up about the coke bottle copyright thing: I once attempted to make my own Nuka Cola and bottle it, but focused on capping it before labeling it. While I never confirmed it, every attempt to use commercial caps failed miserably because the coke bottles seemed to be a fraction of a millimeter smaller than a commercially available bottle cap can fit. So no, not only can you not make a label that fits on a coke bottle, you can't even reuse them. Fantastic seeing you and Tim collaborate like this, and I cannot wait to try this recipe.

If I recall correctly from World of Refreshment, Quantum has double the sugar and calories of regular Nuka and that was supposed to be a selling point like the strontium-90. Makes my lore brain wonder if the reason for that is because of the impending shortages as the Sino-American War went on and on (iirc, Quantum was released in like July 2077). I love the rocket bottles even if they're entirely impractical.
Ehhhhh. Lore is kinda of contradicting here. In 3 it's stated that Quantum was on a Test run to the public is pre selected areas. I can't remember all of em off the top of my head. But I do know that Massachusetts was not one of them. Yet we still see it in Boston. Why? It wouldn't be there. X01 was developed by the Enclave after the bombs fell. Not before. Canonically there is no way in hell that should exist. But it does. So who knows
With the custom label for your bottle you can buy printable white waterproof vinyl online for it. I've done a few weird shaped decorations for things and it'll give you that little bit of stretch you need. its already sticky to boot so it's super easy to apply. You can't let all that work on the labels go to waste!
Seriously what a cool episode. I kept thinking “don’t meet your heroes” and was worried this might turn into that but, nope, Tim was genuinely excited and engaged with what was going on. & the fact that he’s a fan of this show takes it up even further as one of my favorite episodes of HTD ever. Great job HTD team and thank you Tim for being you!
So with regards to removing the 12oz coca cola enamel label, it's a monstrous pain, but it can be done with a paint scraper, same with the 8oz but it's much easier. Also commercial beer bottle grade bottle caps work with the bottles fine to my knowledge. A friend of mine's mom once managed to get a label to work on one of the 8oz bottles (i think the curvature is more constant), but she was a wiz with all things crafty and I never learned how she did it.
the "yellow cake flavoring" was TOO good, such a subtle clever detail I had to space back to make sure I actually read it right. my hats off to an outstanding episode perfect editing, brilliant music and of course the drinks. I also love seeing you feeling good and just so happy, it's just a joy to see. I am not sure if this or Cyberpunk is my favorite but... my God you're a legend.
@howtodrink by the way, the vinyls distortion would be fairly minimal, especially for the script. Might be worth a try if you can print on vinyl or find someone who can!
Congratulations Greg, found your channel while I was deployed in the army and been following now for about 5 years. Super cool video and again congrats for having made lore accurate nuka cola!
Wow! Huge fan of Fallout and HTD and the collab does not disappoint! The production was really impressive, I cant wait to check out the extended interview.

My strainer isnt good enough to get the pulp out lol.
Great video! Was fun hearing and seeing behind the scenes stuff and I would be interested in learning more about your label designing process! Student of graphics design at PDX

With the custom label for your bottle you can buy printable white waterproof vinyl online for it. I've done a few weird shaped decorations for things and it'll give you that little bit of stretch you need. its already sticky to boot so it's super easy to apply. You can't let all that work on the labels go to waste!
The cinematography on this episode is absolutely fabulous.
You're making history here, my man! I hope you're proud of yourself! I'm definitely looking forward to the next one.
0:16 "I think I can see through time"... They are wearing the same outfit by coincidence or they are the same person in different time-lines
Greg. Fallout fan here.
Loved your previous Fallout vids, and this was a gods-send. You and Tim are both amazing
That's awesome! If you wanted to make a label to fit the 12oz glass bottle, print the label on vinyl. The vinyl can stretch and conform to the curve
But you need to design the art to account for the stretch so that it stretches INTO square... wowza
@@howtodrink another option would be to hand paint them...😬
@howtodrink by the way, the vinyls distortion would be fairly minimal, especially for the script. Might be worth a try if you can print on vinyl or find someone who can!
The dedication you show to your craft is unparalleled.
Amazing video, your Sunset Sarsaparilla and cyberpunk videos got me hooked on this channel
production value off the charts, this video is on another level man! great work!!
Congratulations, man. You made some serious video gaming history.
Tim is just the nicest, realest person.
Absolutely brilliant! I know a lot of effort went into this episode and it is all very much appreciated
Love the production quality in the beginning, keep it up man!
Glen! Always love seeing Glen and Friends getting mentioned. Absolutely phenomenal channel.
okay so i was Joking before about you becoming a mad scientist with all the beakers and tubes and stuff, now you are legit concocting elixirs
This is one of my favorite things to ever happen. Really stoked for you that you got to do this and collaborate with the creator of Fallout!!!
I’m so glad Art of Drink got a mention
Congratulations Greg, found your channel while I was deployed in the army and been following now for about 5 years. Super cool video and again congrats for having made lore accurate nuka cola!
Super charming episode
The happiness apparent from both parties during this interaction is the most wholesome thing I've seen all day and I am Here for it. This made my day.
The mixing of the Nuka-Cola ingredients gave me major Sherlock vibes. This is a top-tier video, amazing work Greg!
Wow! Huge fan of Fallout and HTD and the collab does not disappoint!
The production was really impressive, I cant wait to check out the extended interview.
You should try using this in a dirty wastelander! I love that drink. Though, I make a version of my own with a little freshly grated cinnamon, .75oz of apple pie moonshine, 2 oz of fresh apple cider, and .75 oz of unsweetened blackberry juice in place of the fruit. My strainer isnt good enough to get the pulp out lol.
Great video! Was fun hearing and seeing behind the scenes stuff and I would be interested in learning more about your label designing process! Student of graphics design at PDX
"Nuka-Cola! A nuclear detonation of fruity flavors!"
Thanks!
Nuka Quantum plus Absinthe is how you glitch your way into the Fallout version of the backrooms.
i gotta try that.
deathclaw bar fights, here i come!
sounds like nukashine, it causes blackouts & random teleportation lol
the editing on this episode is stellar, fantastic job
This is the weirdest but most welcome pairing on the internet
It's weird that I don't find it weird
i did some research on actually procuring all these flavorings and, holy cow, dude. i'm glad you have patreons for this show because that's a huge investment!!! thank you for your sacrifice.
Finally, another soft drink episode.
First how to drink video I’ve ever watched (first ever cooking video too) and I’m hooked love this stuff
You just gave Tim Cain diabetes on camera.
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode, thank you! Fallout is a big part of my childhood/teens as well!
I've been waiting many nuclear winters for this. Now I'll be waiting for all these recipes in your future cocktail book
I just love everything about this so much. Congrats on the dream collab!
Jaw drops and hits the floor
This night be one the best videos i have seen in a while, loved every bit of it!
If it helps, Nuka Cola Dark was introduced in Fallout 4 Nuka World, and it seems to be a riff on a rum and Coke.
Rum and Nuka was also in new Vegas, but Greg was not wrong about Nuka Dark’s alcohol content, lore wise it’s supposed to be 35%
Yeah... perhaps it might have some sort of low profile yet high alcohol additive to it?
Not certain what it could be.
@@rotz394 only think maybe just very over proof run like 60% OFTD mixed with syrup down to 35%
