Thanks for this really helped! I wasn't able to get it working and even the dealership wasn't sure how to do it. The learn button extra at the end did the job.
Is it possible to be programed without the portable garage door opener? I'm waiting for a replacement portable opener and was thinking I could use the button attached to the house to program.
I don't know if that would work - it has to be within a couple inches of your HomeLink buttons. You could try the alternative method - the specifics can vary between garage door openers, which is why I didn't cover it. Set up a ladder to your garage door opener motor. Click the "learn" button somewhere on the back, then within 30 seconds, walk to your vehicle and press the button that you want to program slowly 3 times. Take the obvious safety precautions, and you'll likely need to keep your car outside, just outside the garage where the door won't come down on it. You may need to look up the directions on the website for your garage door opener if you aren't able to get it after a few tries. I have done it that way before and it didn't always work the first time. Good Luck!
It doesn't work. I wish you would've shown up the step on how to connect it using a rolling code because I can't find any video out there on how to connect with a Mitsubishi using a rolling code.
The specific instructions for rolling code openers can vary slightly - but try clicking the "learn" button on the back of your garage door opener motor (a ladder will likely be required), then within 30 seconds, walk to your vehicle and press the button that you want to program slowly 3 times.
@Kerry Kooi It doesn't work like that. I figure it out though. It's actually a 2 step process. No video I've seen has actually helped with people understanding it.

Took me a few attempts to get the previous owner's codes out of there, but I finally got it to work!
Thanks for this. Good video. Straight and to the point.
Thank you very much for sharing. Good explanations and presentation.
Exactly what I was needing, thanks!
