The Akan (/ˈækæn/) people live primarily in present-day Ghana and Ivory Coast in West Africa. The Akan language (also known as Twi/Fante) are a group of dialects within the Central Tano branch of the Potou-Tano subfamily of the Niger-Congo family.[2] Subgroups of the Akan people include: the Agona, Akuapem, Akwamu, Akyem, Ashanti, Bono, Fante, Kwahu, Wassa, and Ahanta. The Akan subgroups all have cultural attributes in common; most notably the tracing of matrilineal descent, inheritance of property, and succession to high political office.
Are the Akan Israelites or Jews? Lets see.
In this part 4 we will continue to pull out information linking the so called “Niger-Congo and Bantu” peoples with the Ancient Israelites. We have been seeing a pattern of Tribes coming in from the east, either from Yemen into Ethiopia into West Africa or Egypt across North Africa/into Ethiopia to West Africa.
Akans come from Egypt, but i do not consider them ancient Egyptians, why? Because for one take the Nubians of today. We know of them to be from ancient Egyptians but the paternal line of this group is Haplogroup E1B1B and Haplogroup B, while the one forign King of Egypt Rameses the 3rd was E1B1A showing non relation to Egyptians who were more than likely B before the Arabs. Alot of Kings of Egypt were foreign so its a toss up like the Pharaoh who cam back R1b
Thank you for the enlightenment. As an AKAN who knows some truths of our origins, through the royal palaces that I am attached to, let me add some few clarifications. The name AKAN is a short form of AKANDIFO in the Twi language meaning - The first who came before all others. Simply put, the origin of mankind. There is no tribe called ASHANTI. This name was giving by the whites, just like they change AKYEM (Achim) to AKIM. The correct name of ASHANTI is ASANTE. This name ASANTE means ESA NTI - We came together because of war. This war, the battle of FEYIASE, was the one which liberated the Asantes from the Kingdom of Denkyira.

Since I speak the TWI language I can assure you, none of the TWI language drives from Ancient Hebrew, it’s actually Khemtic!
Example…..the word for soul in TWI is “kra” or “okra”….like the capital city of Ghana, ACCRA!
It can also be noted that ACCRA is the soul city of Ghana!
The word for soul in Ancient Khemt is “KA”……you also see the word “KA” in the middle of a-KA-n! (AKAN) the Akans are the soul tribe of Ghanaians!

So they usurped the “K” in KHANA with the “G” and that’s how you get them name Ghana!

It is very important information about our biblical culture and history some may differ. for me it fills in alot of areas that were missing in my history this I read from an article and many others.
Ashanti may come from the Hebrew word “Ashan” meaning, “smoke” which is usually used in the context of the destruction of a city and may hint of the destruction of Israel by the Babylonian and Assyrian exiles or even the Roman ransacking of Israel. There was indeed a town in Judea called Ashan I Chron. 6:59 corresponding to Joshua 21:6

Ashanti is a corrupt word for esa ntia (because of war) group of Akan tribes and other ethnic groups outside the akan family came together to for a political force (kingdom) to protect their interest.
