I got a screen protector, portable charger or battery, carrying case, pro controller, a dbrand skin, 64gb sd card, and a backpack I found on Amazon. I was thinking about getting the stand that holds up the switch in tabletop mode and at the same time you can charge it because it's elevated off the ground or table.
I am planning to have and I already ordered some things and getting some are the red and blue joy cons, a legend of Zelda case, tempered glass screen protector, a screen wipe, a joy con charging dock for the joycons I will get, the switch stand where I can chage it, and a backpack to store my laptop 3ds and my switch and chargers. I do want to get the $100 dollar LoZ BoTW set but I cant afford it and is hard to find :P I may even pick up a portable charger for my switch and decorate it to make it cooler since I do have a charging phone case.
At the moment I just have a carrying case so it won't get scratched in my backpack. I even decided against getting a case for the cartridges since it won't really be necessary at launch. I'll only have one cartridge. For the moment, that'll be enough. As I use it, I'll figure out what else I need.

Some ppl whine at joycon straps but when u know getting them out technique better u wont whine. Just flip joycon upside down and to the back side. Press release button and make sure u got lock of joycon strap in right position and then try to take it off. It is ezpz for me now.

The Switch battery is about 4300mAh. The battery packs recommended in this video should be good for 4-5 complete charges on the Switch
