- When the Drag Bus first came out in 1996 it was the heaviest model ever and the coolest model made in the 90's. I have always liked the Drag Bus but and bought a few here and there. This week I was offered a collection that had quite a few of the first 50. I did not even know that before buying them but I have learned a lot this week.

Smoker in the house!!!!....yellows everything in the place,,,,including these.........great addition.
I really like them but was surprised that when I took them to the convention no one was interested in anything but the employee christmas bus. That sold for $450. I opened all the cheaper ones and they look much better out than in.
Handles them like a true reseller, probably someone's pride and joy before....
Well it's not easy filming and opening old grungy blister protectos at the same time. Plus I have budda fingas! But as far as being careful with their collections you will not find anyone more careful than me. I've been a dedicated collector for over 30 years. Collecting is really my thang!

Now this is a neat video. Drag Bus is also my favorite casting, i know i would go crazy to get so many at once. It was a T-hunt in 2005: back then there were 12 of them and the Drag Bus was the 13th one, it was like a special edition one!
I have an original Blue Angels drag bus unopened and in the blister pack. 1997 I believe . Don't know what it's worth
I had all my bases for sale at the last LA convention and they did not sell well. I decided to take all the common ones out of the package and then people looked at them. They are very pretty. Figure $20 a piece for the common ones like Blue Angels, Marines, Penske, etc.

It was the sound track that made it seem rough. Turn off the sound and they are all handled gently!
Do you have any drag busses you are selling?
Mostly sold except the rare employee one. No idea of the value I haven't seen a confirmed sale. There was a listing on ebay a few months back for 3,500.

Well it turned out too much. I thought Drsg Busses were still popular. Lost a little on the re-sale of these.
Is the Christmas bus a reproduction? What date is on the base?
The employee Christmas, and the white charity are not easy to obtain.
This one is the real deal it looks like. The date on the bus is 1995 and the tampo is clear and sharp and the roll cage is green. I see some reproductions on the net and they seem to be not sharp. I did not even know what this model was when I bought this drag bus collection. I though it was just a few random Drag Buses and I do like them so I bought them. I figured that between the few that seemed to have value I could break even on the deal and have a couple of RLCs for my collection. I was surprised to find out this was a good one. When I was researching the value on each bus I found a listing of the Drag Bus by year and discovered that the person who had these must have tried to get most variations of the first 50 and stopped for some reason. The person I got them from was given these from someone who had passed away in California.
