Yeah. From experience, heavy cars with balanced weight distribution usually go faster. Overall weight definitely is more effective than FTE or HSRW. I mean, the fastest FTE cars I own don’t even make it into my top 20. Here are a few ideas of cars that think are fast: Noodlehead, Probe Funny Car, Han Solo in Carbonite, Sidekick, Mirada Stocker, S’Cool Bus, VW Drag Bus. There are a few more, but those are definitely the best Mattel ones I’ve had.
I have had the opportunity to race my top cars on other tracks before and one of the things that happens is their order of placement against each other will change up from the order on your home track.
Milton Fox Racing I see what you’re saying. Even when I increase and decrease the slope of my track there is often a change in which car finishes first. From what I’ve seen, there are two types of ways a car is fast: downhill speed and stamina. Downhill speed will help a car win going down the sloped part of the track. Stamina usually comes into play on the track extensions causing them to gain on the cars that do better only on the downhill portion of the track. The cars that are the fastest have a healthy balance of the two. For example: The matchbox 1956 ford pickup has great downhill speed but the Hot Wheels Ferrari F40 has better stamina causing it to win. The Hot Wheels Noodlehead is AMAZING both in stamina and downhill speed which is why it is often considered the fastest hot wheels car ever made.
As a child I remember on a bored Saturday afternoon I raced every Hotwheels I had (like 30 or so) using the scientific method (best 2 out of 3, 1v1, twin loopty loop for fun). I separated the Hotwheels from the Matchbox, because even as a kid I was an obsessive collector. I found a car called the Shredster (2001) to be the fastest, but then again, that was just my collection. For the record, I did have a gold dash for cash, but it was well played with before I ever executed this experiment.
Wow just wow ! I really enjoyed this video. Very informational stuff. We have a bunch of every F40 castings and hands down all of our black 5 spoke F40s decimate all the others. Have no clue why but they just do lol. Hope u get a chance to try one out.
I have one black F40 and it is my fastest car but this yellow one may contend. The fastest time ever on my track is my father in law's dash for cash. My black one is very very fast though.
By far and away my 1977 green enamel buzz-off is the fastest car I have ever owned. It has consistently beat every new fast version car that Hot Wheels has come out with. It's simple physics, weight over rear axle.
@@forthewindiecastracing5964 Hey brother that sounds good. I think you add a lot to the racing community because you have the best drag track hands down and you test cars fair.
I wonder how the big air Bel air would do against these castings, it's one of the fastest I've tried on my track, my collection is made up of castings from 2017 - now so no all metal cars. Wish I had kept my childhood collection, they were all metal from the 80s and I kept them in great shape even while playing with them. Fun video, thank you!
I have the big air bel air but its off road tread doesn't help with rolling efficiency. There are some new castings that are nice and quick. Every track is a bit different I will say. Kia Stinger GT, XJ220
There are so many factors to a fast die cast car. Weight, shape and wheels are just to name a few. That was a pretty good line up. In my experience the dragsters/ funny cars have been some of the fastest I’ve ever seen!
I have a 97 hotwheels police bus that I am unable to beat. For reference I also have the F40 and Monte Carlo from this video and they are not even remotely close I suggest you seek one out. Mine is actually from when I was a kid In 97 with some axel damage but still unbeatable
I also do some racing too. You can find that in my second TH-cam channel. Just tap the photo of the yellow Ford Mustang GT and it will take you to my main page. Please make sure you subscribe and turn on the notifications bell to see more racing videos.
Here are some cars that i have that are are quick 2018 custom mustang (fastest) Cosmic coupe (previous fastest and in 2023) The governor (fastest in 2020 and 2021) Rapid response (fastest in 2023) Off duty (just extremely fast) Hollowback (same as off duty) Velocita (fastest in 2017) 2009 ford f150 (mine is kinda slow but in mint condition they are beasts) Also i love the sound all metal hot wheels make while going fast in tracks
My fastest car at the 6 lane raceway including extended HW track out of 400-500+ cars I have is the 2006 edition of Chrysler 300C Hemi Faster than Ever! It even beat my #3 Funny Car since it’s lighter and has faster wheels! I believe that this Chrysler is the fastest Mattel Car ever! It just goes to show y’all that weight sometimes doesn’t matter in races!
It's all about having a car that runs true. Lighter cars seem to get off the line a bit easier but heavy cars that run straight with fast wheels can produce the best times. I have a 300c fte as well it's one of my favs.

This was a lot of fun!! Happy Fathers Day!! Thanks for putting this on for us!! :)
Fastest car ever made: mid drift (2004) low c gravity, big wheel, short length, on much friction surface on sides, just perfect
It was some terrific races, man! Looking forward of a new event featuring Speed Bump FTE and Way 2 Fast FTE! Regards :)
Nice set up, do you mind sharing where you got your track set up at? Would like to make something similar if possible. Thanks!

Great Video , watching it again after I get home !
What up brother man! Your video popped up in my feed so I have subbed good stuff! Keep up the good work!

Has anyone tried adjusting the F40s engine cover to different angles to see if there is an optimum wing angle?
Great edit man. Just won a good size tournament in Birmingham last weekend... Where did you get the timing system?

Where did you go man? We haven't seen you in awhile or commenting on anyone's videos.
Hoping all is ok!!
Doin good. Just been laying low. Still been adding to my arsenal of hot wheels though.

Gold metal speed is the same as FTE with nicle plated axles ... color shifter cars have nicle plated axles as well 👌🏁

Do you treat the wheels with any graphite?
Fun vid, you deserve more subs ❤️
Great quality nice setup keep the grind
If you still have the sol aire with the draggy wheel from the rear hatch did you try using a spacer to give additional wheel clearance?
Nice job. Keep it up
5:15 yah, agreed…even in the box it looked tight. 👍
This car called slingshot was always the fastest car I’ve ever had
Was it the Johnny Lightning Topper, “Slingshot” by chance?
@@SubmarineShrineMonster no I found it, it was a blue hotwheel on the 2014 race team called slingshot
The new and old power piston is SPEEEED
Nice track 👍 the yellow f40 has got some speed
Cool race,
Are you still using your timer?
One of my fastest HW cars was my Hot Wired, none of my cars ever beat that one.
Outer lane has advantage. The fastest time should be the winner.
Awesome 👍 🏁
I would like to see some of these FTEs vs the new hot wheels id!
i wish you had my car it is the strongest really good looking and faster than the ones here but nice video some are really fast

So plowed is the car that always win in my six lane orange track.
For me the F-40 yellow is the fastest, but it runs only one race in the fastest lane
