This is not a recipe but something i have eaten for 30 years now, greated apple (pref red) grated mature yellow cheese and crushed chrisps (whatever flavour I think salt and vin works best) and mix all together and enjoy. Everyone who has told me I'm disgusting has tried it and loved it. Its been my own mixture for 30 years now. I'd love to see you try it 😄

Barry fun video. Your subtitlers are still getting some words wrong that I'd expect they would come to learn. For example "stonkers" became "stampers" and "falafel" became "fluffy". Since I can hear it's not hard to figure out, but I think this would be rough for your non-hearing viewers. Is there any way for the community to help fix the captions?

My parents had one in the 90s. It wasn't nearly as efficient as this one but you were never restricted to needing a special bowl to store with it. The modern equivalent is definitely the Presto models with the little butter melter scoop built into the plastic lid or other models like that. Definitely a great gadget that allows you to easily make popcorn without the negatives of forever chemicals in the single use microwave popcorn bags. At least here in the USA they have banned Teflon and other chemicals but the makers just used some other chemicals, which we don't know the long term use of.

I could see the falafel scoop working with cookie dough to make a bunch of pucks, which you can then freeze for later usage. Great way to get uniformly sized cookies or biscuits. Then you can make stonking doughs, have the baked goods look like they came out of a factory, and pretend like there's this legendary bakery that only you know of. 🤣

The bottle top pump would be more useful for bigger bottles and ones that have less product in them. A newly opened bottle with the cap replaced won't go flat too quickly because there is not a lot of air space to repressurize. But if you pour out half the contents, there's a lot more space for the gases to escape and expand into, and being able to pressurize it with outside air will keep a lot more of the carbonation in the liquid.

I have a double barreled falafel maker my mom bought in Jerusalem. Works great. They use them in almost every falafel stand on every corner. Falafel are balled shaped there and the mix is spooned into the falafel maker and pushed out into the oil. Total fun to use.

Where did you get your falafel recipe from Barry? Doesn’t look bad but I’ve never seen it as a dough 😂 you should always use raw soaked chickpeas, not canned and no eggs. A piece of raw potato if you’d like but it should be a loose sandy texture

I just ordered the pineapple cutter. Same make and model, different dispatcher. And saved £10. Five on the item, and five on the postage.

Makes me jealous! I used to only eat vegetarian things as a teen but a chronic illness put an end to that.
I still try but it’s just not feasible when you have an intolerance for so many things.

It's so funny how he talks about not wanting his lemonade to go flat. Here in the US it's always flat. You have to buy it special for it to be carbonated and it's not always easy to find depending on where you live. I'm definitely going to have to get one of the pineapple gadgets!

Recently started watching a channel, Epicurious, where they have a guy who spent the last 40 years designing kitchen gadgets and he does reviews like you. He is really funny, but also has a thing, he tries the item, then tries them again with his non-dominent hand with oil on his hands. He says it something he would do for his work to really test how usible the thing is to some one with limited ability. He then goes on to suggest improvements using his vast knowledge of design. Great channel, don't know if you want to watch more cooking content... but hey, thought might share. THANKS FOR TH E LAUGHS BARRY! < 3< 3

Yeah he is good but I disagreed on the cheese chopper tool(white and orange handle) for use with block cheeses. All of the cuts he made with the tool were virtually flat compared to his knife cuts. I own one myself and it has reduced a little bit of nerve pain compared to doing it by hand with a knife. Not perfect. I may get a wire cutter type that you swing down going 90 degrees with a handle. I just wonder if they make a dishwasher safe version of that

I know this vid's been up for a while now but if you're still checking comments - a little tip for bacon is to make 3 or 4 small snips on the rind before frying, it stops the bacon curling up as much
