There is a way to test the garmin without going outside, try shooting a rubber band over it. I've heard the unit will pick it up! I haven't tried it YET.
Dear Sir - spoke with Mr. Borden the other day; we both passionately lamented the loss of Precision Shooting Magazine! Also recalled many of the old time Williamsport Shooters; Howard Wolfe, Sara Morgan, Earl Chronister and many more. His mind is razor sharp and his memory and knowledge are amazing. If we ever gain enough subscribers to support it, I would love to travel to his shop and do extensive interview/video. Thanks.
@@quarterminutemagnums both are 3L actions, one is an early serial number. Not sure which era they come from as I just recently acquired them. Now looking at add a Neuvo action or M to my collection. I mainly shoot F class and local for fun Benchrest style matches.
Built a 6mm last year, and had a hard time deciding between 6XC, 6GT, 6 Dasher, 6BR, or 6 creedmoor. Decided that the creedmoor might be a better option because of brass availability, and got the barrel in a 1:7 twist to run the heavier bullets like the 115 DTAC’s. Then within a month of having it, Lapua stopped producing brass for it! I got 500 pieces of the Lapua, and another 500-600 pieces of a couple different headstamps, so I’m ok, but kind of wish I would have went with the dasher to be honest. Although the rifle I put together shoots 1/4-1/2 moa without much effort, so it’s hard to say I made a bad choice.
Dear Sir - if we had the resources, imagine five identical guns chambered for each of those cartridges - head to head, side by side, real world comparison! That would be cool! Thanks..................
What's your thought on using a Borden Bigfoot rather than the BAT HR? Do you think the 1.4" diameter of the bigfoot will be an issue with McMillan's stocks that are specified as 1.35" max action diameter?
The Peterson brass I got for my 6x47 Lapua is beautiful. I think for some cartridges it is as good if not better than Lapua. Are these builds for midrange bench rest?
Weatherby MK5 has one GREAT FEELING skeleton BOLT knob
You are going to love how simple and accurate the Garmin Xero is!
