Edit I normally place tape on a white canvas. I would like to create a background before I put on tape in future pieces. Great work on the splattering too!

Omygoodness! This really really turned out AWESOME!!!!!🥰 So I have been watching a LOT of John Beckley's videos lately and i have been really wanting to try this! I literally have a 20X20 canvas sitting right in front of me that I am pondering on. Now, keep in mind I am honestly a dutch pour girl. Thats mostly what I do. TBH though, there is just something about this certain abstract art that just draws me in and is so very magical! Now having said that and beings i have never tried it before its also extremely daunting and I am kinda like "omygosh, where do i even start?!"😳 lol I REALLY DO wanna give it a go and after watching YOUR video I just might! Why is it so daunting to me? probably because it's change and we are all afraid of change? Well, at least I am anyways! LOL! Any tips before i begin this journey?? Yours turned out fabulous I must add and you made it look soo fun!! But judging from the title of your next video title (which i am about 2 watch RN👀) I see it may be even more difficult than what i am anticipating! (Yikes!) LOL I'm gonna be honest, i hate even putting masking tape on the back of my canvas to prep for my fluid art... so idk if i'm going 2 truly regret this or not!🤷♀😅 I've been watching your videos and subscribed for a while now. Do you allow it to dry between each coat?
Do you use a specific type/brand of tape? (If it’s in your description info, I apologize. I read and reread but did not see it listed … but I’ve overlooked things before).
For the border I used frog tape to prevent bleed, but mostly I just used plain old masking tape
@@JMoPainting Thanks! I thought perhaps you used some lightweight less sticky stuff. It looks like your plain masking tape works very well in not lifting what’s under it 🙂.
What tapes are you using for these paintings? Would you link them? I’d love to try some of these.

How do you get the tape so the brushed paint doesn't bleed under the edges leaving the lines uncrisp?

Also painting away from the tape not towards it will help.
Please sir, give other option instead of heat torch or heat gun for removing the bubbles.

I would probably call it “Duality”, but I’m not sure. What would you call it?
Wow that’s a super interesting title - makes the painting seem even more awesome, looking at it through the artist’s interpretation of it! 👍 So many titles come to mind when I saw you do it - but “through the looking glass” pops up again and again. Love your work!
