Hey John, I stumbled across your videos about 3 months ago and your videos inspired me to finally try something I have been scared off for many years; put the digital pen down and try actual physical paint on canvas. Obviously I am not creating amazing works of art like you but for me that's not the point. The headspace I get into when creating is something so special and I am so thankful to now have this in my life. Thank you so much , you are such a creative inspiration!

How to achieve these SOFT SHADOWS? When I try it, the color seems to be too fluid, it just over-paints the other colors and doesn't get that transparent visual. Can some1 help?

try diluting your paint with a little bit of water, and WAIT for the other colours underneath to be completely dry.
