  • Hidde de Vries was running a successful communication and public relations company, when he suffered from a burnout. He went on a search for a way to deal with workstress, but was surprised by how little he found that would help. And so, determined to find an effective way to deal with burnouts, went in search of the antidote.
    Throughout his career Hidde de Vries has had strong ties to the field of communication and marketing, eventually leading to him starting his own agency. Since then he has started working for Google. He also set up another company, 7 day recharge, which focusses on helping people find balance between their work and private lives.

    Insomnia, depression, lack of concentration and loss of appetite. Unfortunately, I am at that point with my current job. I have never been this stressed in all of my life and feel like my back is against a wall.

    I felt same during my 5 year job and ended up with chronic stress and depression. I sometime still cry alone for hours without any reason or thinking about past. Depression is real it must be curbed as soon as you find symptoms that you mentioned insomnia, loss of appetite

    I’m 12 and I deal with depression. I don’t feel like existing anymore and life sucks. I’m listening to vids like these because I’m trying to help myself. Everything seems impossible and empty. I’m spiritually and mentally dead, please pray for me.

      Hey I hope you are ok today! I will pray for you. I remember always being very sad when I was a kid and I was depressed when I was 12 too with really low self esteem. I’m 37 now and looking back I didn’t realize how much time I had ahead of me. Some of the greatest years of your life are yet to be lived and you have so many amazing people to meet and memories you will make in the future, so try and look forward to that if you can. It is hard, but stay strong my friend ! Best of luck to you!

    i’m 14 and a freshman in highschool. i’m in the marching band and we’re very competitive and work very hard. every day except for wednesdays, practice until 6:30 after school. on top of that i’m in the honors academy, lots of homework and rigorous college courses. i love band and i know i need to be in honors to do what i want to do when i’m older. all of this stress is new to me. the music is hard, marching is hard,the work is going to be hard. i struggle at marching and get called out a lot. i fear i won’t be able to handle the stress. can someone help?

    • @UmuPadoru
      @UmuPadoru ปีที่แล้ว +4

      My best advice as a stressed college student is to keep communicating and talking about your stress and how it impacts you. If needed seek out a study counselor at your school to ask questions and tips. Never stop talking to people when you are stressed, you will create more problems for yourself. Other than that life just really sucks sometimes and there's not a cure for everything. But you might want to consider giving up some of your tasks or communicate with your professors that you cannot make a deadline because you need breathing room. And see if they are willing to give you more time

    • @borazan
      @borazan ปีที่แล้ว +2

      figure out and separate what's important to you vs what's important to your family. It isn't always easy to tell what you want to do when you grow up but don't let your family pressure you into being perfect, nobody is and you won't be either. Growing up is accepting that not perfect is ok.
      Quit marching if it isn't making you happy, you can't do everything at once.

    𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝘅𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆?
    We can overcome stress and anxiety by developing more and more positive connection, friendship and closeness to each other. Otherwise, these and other negative sensations will increasingly disturb us.
    If we create small societies in which we develop connections of mutual consideration and support, then we can get rid of fears, illnesses, insomnia and absolutely everything that imposes the stress and anxiety of life upon us.
    The more we experience negative sensations like stress and anxiety, the closer we come to understand the need for friendship, cooperation, mutual support and care. Likewise, we will reach the understanding of the need to create societies that will emphasize such values. Otherwise, we will continue developing by accumulating more and more negative sensations over a very long period of time until we eventually wake up to the need for the aforementioned values.
