      100% and considering how much problems I already had with the proprietary cables from Wacom, I can only appreciate a solution that is not prone to wear and tear!

    excellent review. I have the Pro 16 Gen 2 for about 5 months now and really like it. I am a hobbyist so this fit my budget while giving me a good tablet. I didn't have an issue with screen lamination on the 16, it could be something with the 19 being bigger/heavier.

    I also encountered the screen popping out in my XP Pen Artist Pro 16 Gen 2. I thought I had broke the damn thing, but like you said, I squeezed it back in and it popped in place. No issue on the performance of the tablet itself. XP Pen is fast becoming the premium tablet that has great value! I use mine when I do work while traveling.

    I've been using a Pro 19 for a graphic novel I've been working on. 100 pages into it and I actually love this thing more than I've ever loved my 22 inch Cintiq. One problem is the the drawing angle so thanks for that Parblo recommendation. You might have just saved my back!
    p.s. this review was SOLID! So impressed with your videography and clear presentation.

    Great review. From you and Boro. I´m pretty happy with my inovator 16 but if the day ever comes that I might need a new one, this model defanatly is an option I would considder. The fact that both of you experianced the thing with the display is the only part that concerns me as well. I would love to hear about an update, after a year of use or so, if thats possible.

    Hey Adam I commented before on ergonomics as I'm having same herniated disk issue as you, for me having a vertical drawing tablet was definitely the only way, I tried portable devices like the Ipad, and it's too heavy for lower back issues, so I'd recommend to add a portable small wooden easel, or any other kind of VESA mount stand to avoid placing flat on the table. Hope this helps anybody!

    • @skm6777
      @skm6777 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Not Adam, but I used my iPad & pen display on a drafting table (beautiful wooden thing) using velcro Command Strips and having it set near vertical. Also had shortcut keyboards, glasses holder case, taped on reference images, and all manner of stuff attached to the thing.
      The drafting table is now my main artwork display, having attached a cork board to the surface and adding an art bar light along the top. (I had to move somewhere where I could no longer fit the table in my workspace.)
      It was great for my back because it forced me to sit up higher in my chair.

    Concerning that little button accessory, you can actually just mark it yourself. Friend of mine put little stickers on the thing, so you know what button is what. Not pretty but it works. She even marked the middle button with a little dot so you always know where you are without looking.
    That being said, I agree with you that the whole thing feels more like an afterthought. But some of its flaws are easily fixed.

    Funny, I just returned the TourBox, because it was difficult to remember what each knob and button did.
    Also funny, but XP-Pen DOES sell sheets of labels that you can use to mark each button on their remote (though I bought them XP to use them on my Huion KD100 remote). MUCH easier to use than a keyboard because I don't have to have the keyboard set to one side and stretch my hand for particular key combination. The KD100 sits directly to the left on an adjustable iPhone stand at the same angle as my pen display (a Parbo 100), leaving my right hand free to never leave the pen.

    • @SaHaRaSquad
      @SaHaRaSquad 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The manufacturer never mentions any latency or refresh rate in the specs, so it's 60Hz. They mention a pen polling rate of 220Hz but that number is meaningless by itself.

      @@AdamDuffArt Im not sure how Apple does it, but if i go into Advanced Display Settings on my selected monitor i can choose from available refresh modes on all my monitors. 60/120hz on left screen, 60/165hz on my middle screen, 60/144hz on my right screen and only 60hz on my cintiq.

      @Ariel-z3f 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      He's probably using draw stabilization which gives the effect of 'latency' however in result you gain really precise lines.

    • @AdamDuffArt
      @AdamDuffArt  5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hmm, you might have noticed a bit of latency close up - I didn't feel that when drawing at all - the refresh rate usually plays into that, I'm assuming it's 60hz (although I could be wrong)

    • @AdamDuffArt
      @AdamDuffArt  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's not smoothing in this case - I don't use stabe when I do line work (kills the humanity of the line work imo) - if you're noticing any lag then that's a refresh rate issue (although when drawing, the lines felt very responsive, so no complaints there.

  • @Bunuffin

    The problem with every competitor is the pen, do slow lines and everything falls apart, Wacom is still the best... I got gifted the wacom cintiq pro 16, it is without competition as for pen displays.

      It also has more points of pen pressure but that's really unneeded for the most part
