Is there an easier fix if some keys are only sticking or registering multiple characters? Such as "chaarcteerss" ? Is there a cleaning procedure for this problem or must I replace the keyboard? Thank-you for this video !

Assembly and disassembly was okay but don't ever undo anything or put anything back with a computer power on and battery end you can fry it!

I have the es1-512 ms2394 c88m and the keyboard is fixed with plastic tabs. One of the weirdest designs I have seen. You have to melt and put them back in with a soldering iron. Very cheap stupid design. No screws

I even did not put the metal back waste of time :)

Nobody ever not try this it doesn't work unless your model is es1-512.- I have ES1-531 and the keyboard seems to be permanently sealed into top base of inside of the computer with these small plastic tabs. Otherwise not sure how the keyboard wasn't fixed in when removed in this video. My model is ES1-531 and looks exactly same..

No explanation that the keyboard is held in by about 30 plastic fixings of two different sizes that need to be cut out or melted. Then there is the question of fixing the keyboard back in to the frame. I cut the fixings then used hot melt glue on each tab to put it back and the job took me 2 hours but if I did it again I would melt thhe plastic tabs and try to remelt them with the new keyboard in place as I think it would probably be faster. I glued all the plastig tabs but you could probably get awy with doing about half of them. This video seems to imply that you put everything back in loose but I think most would prefer to have it fixed in place to the top lid. Please Acer ,bring back proper replacable keyboards not this rubbish Macbook-type arrangement!

After watching this video, I bought a new keyboard, but I couldn’t install it in the way it showed. This video is deceiving and misleading consumers to buy this new keyboard
