In one of my "Stupid - Stupid" moments, I threw my glasses across the room and hit the laptop's screen damaging it somewhat similar to your example. I used another laptop and purchased a screen for my brand of laptop without checking the numbers at the back of the screen as you very nicely explained. IT WAS A DIFFERENT NUMBER! Nevertheless, I proceeded to change the screen following your instructions, and GREATNESS HAPPENED, the screen worked perfectly. THANKS A MILLION!

Very good and helpful video. Be careful when doing this because the screw mounts for the case cover to the hinges are really weak. They are imbedded in small thin plastic rings and will easily crack. Same is true for the screen screws, so do not overtighten them. If you crack the cover hinge mounts you will have to either change out the entire cover (requires full disassembly of laptop - there is a video on that) or jury rigging a way to keep top on. I tried using epoxy glue - did not hold. Finally drilled small holes through cover and put in new screws with nuts.
can i use other similar part from any acer laptop such as acer aspire V5 or E5 on my aspire F5-573g ? can someone answer me please :/ . i need to replace my ribbon cable

Thank you so much for posting this clear, complete, and easy to follow video. I searched high and low looking for a video that would show me how to properly disassemble the screen on Acer laptop and this one fit the bill. Using the steps in this video I was able to disassemble the screen on my laptop so that I could go in and reseat the screen connector. It is my hope by doing this my screen flicker problem will go away. I shall see. Fingers crossed.

@@GauravKumar-tm9pp I used the instructions in this video to allow me to find my screen connector so I could unplug it and then plug it back in. After doing this I stopped having screen flickering issues. I don't know if this is what fixed my issue, but it seemed like unplugging the screen connector and then plugging it back in seemed to help.

Thanks for the video. I have replaced the LCD no problem. Now I have a crack in the top case near the hinge on the backside. Can I replace the top case without replacing the hinges? The hinge seems fine.
Help! if you can! Last year my laptop fell off and some parts included peaces that holds a screen are now broken E5 571. To make it work again ,can anyone confirm that I can buy laptop casing of either of V5 571 or F5 571 model and I could fit my hardware there? Is there as well a difference if I get a case from E5 575 or V5 575 or F5 575 models? I need to be sure before buying those spare repair casing. Is there ANYONE that can confirm that I could fit my MotherBoard from E5 571 to any of these? Thank you

If the screen is pink but not smashed. Do you think it is the connector fault or the whole screen needs to be replaced? On external monitor everything works fine. I just don't know how to check whether it's connector fault.

💀now my screen is fixed up. When i tried to shut my laptop, there a little idk what it is like in the right bottom corner a tab or or something sticking out of the screen when its supposed to do directly under it. Sense it stuck taking the place of where my laptop bends at it completly disconnected the keyboard from the screen.helpppp

New screen didn't come with the bracket that allows me to screw it back on, currently trying to remove the bracket from the old screen that is stuck on extreeemely well lol 🤦🏼♂️

Good instructions, thanks! My 14" Acer E5-475G screen has gone black but I can get image through HDMI to the TV! I suppose is the screen.
Oh that's clever! I'm trying to troubleshoot my Acer and I'm certain it's something to do with the screen, but without the screen being able to show me any system error messages it's been a slow frustrating process. I never thought of hooking it up to the TV via HDMI. Thank you!
Just for the record. I replaced the screen with a new one but it wasn't it!!! Found a good technician he discovered two burned components (screen related) on the main board, got them replaced and screen back to work. I was also lucky could get the full refund on the screen!

REMOVE BATTERY and charger before you unplug that connector otherwise it's very likely you going to have no display when you turn your laptop on.

@@fruitfulvisionenterprises the problem is, if you don't remove the battery you risk shorting out your board because you have the backlight voltage present on the connector , in rare cases is just a fuse but could be anything else on the backlight circuit.
The only civilized way to change the lcd is when you're doing it with the battery disconnected. Otherwise you may get many unexpected or unwanted surprises. I've changed the stock lcd of my Acer Aspire 7 A715-71G-59UZ to a much better lcd BOE NV156FHM-N4B. It's the best available lcd matching this or similar model. While replacing the lcd I've discovered that it's so easy to break the plastic frame fixing clips that you should disassemble the screen with care and knowledge. Do not follow the video regarding this aspect as you will break the clips for certain. They should be unclipped by a finger nail sliding along the butt of the screen with pressing lightly from outside to inside (towards the screen center). This works perfect.
