Did I just watch someone make something made of foam look like concrete by just applying a thin layer of concrete to it? Why isn't this done more often... That's a great idea! Especially for things not touched/handled often.
Throwing every idea in your book to one project. To be able to balance that light and still move it with winding cables that still have power running through them. Crazy. Amazing.
Amazing work as always! But please be careful when melting lead. The fumes are very toxic. Good thing you did it outdoors, but a respirator should have been worn Best regards
This legitimately looks like when a chef does away with ready-made ingredients and does everything from scratch. Your level of detail in the craftsmanship is truly an amazing sight to see
Pretty straightforward video. Perfectly understandable just by paying attention to it. I really like that he didn't feel the need to explain everything twice.
To all the comments about levitating vs hanging, I need yall to understand that there is no way those spindly little cables can support a fully concrete bar the size of that light if it was just being 'hung'. By making it lightweight with the foam core, he has created the effect that it is being 'levitated' with some force beyond what those cables can provide in order for a slab of concrete to 'float' like that. Stop being such wet towels and appreciate the creativity and artistry. Also if you're seriously pointing out that it's just for the sake of looking cool, tell me you're not an engineer/architect without telling me you're not an engineer/architect. What the hell do you think design is. Jesus yall are lame.
That's top tier craftman workship ! This is the first video i watch on your chanel (for once the YT algorythm did a good job haha) and definetely not the last. Good job with an outstanding result ! I've learn a lot.
Exceptional design and workmanship! Keep up the fantastic work! Don't be swayed by the haters either - haters gonna hate - they be throwing shade 'cause you're doing great things (and most likely, they're not!).
He did all the melting outside so I think the amounts are negligible. Would wash hands afterwards tho. Probably most of lead he ever got intoxicated with is from his childhood when there was still lead in gasoline.
Just discovered the channel tonight and sub’d! Watching more videos for the TRIPLE THREAT! Concrete, Stainless, Wood! Picking up little tricks in every video I’ve watched so far!
I'd say, he uses lead sheets used in roofing. Maybe because of ease of access. crucible is not used, because why, when it works totally fine with the blow torch. He is not going for the perfect cast here. This is all just guessing 😉
Wood Projects coming soon
Interesting 😮
Hey, this project was incredible. Everything you make is so inventive! Whatever you make, I want to try and make myself!
@@funkyjohnhuie thanks buddy
@createdesign when soon?
i cant belive i just watched a 20 minute funkits, festool and L shape desk ad, and loved it.
The master of jigs strikes again! The jig making is where I learn the most on your xhannel. Amazing!
Thanks 🙏🏽
Idea: 10/10. Planning: 10/10. Execution: 10/10. Truly mesmerised by your creative thinking, engineering skills and craftsmanship!

Ich danke dir!
At no point did I have any idea what was going on, but it looks awesome.
DANKE 🥰
Danke dir mein lieber 🙏

Mostly styrofoam and outer layer of concrete seems really clever! Evenif outler layer cracks as it drys, it's astonishingly simple to fix.
Amazing work as always!

Again a great play with material, pivot points and illusion.
each of your videos is a journey: we don't know where you're taking us but we're sure it's a beautiful place.
Congratulations more and more beautiful!
So much attention to detail. Almost a master class!
Danke!
Vielen herzlichen Dank für deine Wertschätzung Christian 🙏🏽
I like the part where he explains everything
I know right. It’s refreshing to find a video aimed at adults.
@easyki84 He never said it was a tutorial.
I pretty much understood everything without explanation. However, it didn't start out that way. Amazing project, though!
Pretty straightforward video. Perfectly understandable just by paying attention to it. I really like that he didn't feel the need to explain everything twice.
😂
Concept. Love it. BUT the thing that really did it for me is the fact that it can ascend and descend. Ah! Like the cherry on top
Fantasy and perfection are a marvel 🍀
Grazie Rawaa 😘

Bravo!!! Cool job, lamp of the future💪! Greetings from Ukraine
Man you are a true inspiration! your ideas/creations are always a one of a kind. keep it up buddy. 👊🏻
Thank you soomuch buddy🙏🏽
Masterful work as always ❤
Love the illusion of an impossibly hanging solid concrete L-shaped slab
Awesome build!!!

Those cables can hold about 300 pounds each. If the light was solid concrete, it would weigh about 200-300 pounds.
@@Bob_Adkinsand he would need to replace that block of iron with tungsten or a dead star to be able to balance it like with a foam core.
Thank you so much for your appreciation🙏🏽
No... f-ing... way!
Brother, as both a woodworker and a career engineer... hat's off to you. That... was... BADASS.
Thanks 🙏🏽 mate
Amazing as always
Thanks buddy
I couldn't stop watching.

the amount of jigs to build other jigs is insane! jigception!
mega geil!
True!!!😆
Thanks Mark 🙏🏽
Exceptional design and workmanship! Keep up the fantastic work!
Don't be swayed by the haters either - haters gonna hate - they be throwing shade 'cause you're doing great things (and most likely, they're not!).
Simply brilliant! 👌
ASMR good enough for a blind man to enjoy this.
This is one of the thing you would find in your rich friend's house; things that are not practically better, but looks magical to the eyes
this is incredible, nice work👍
Great work. Can you share the exact name of that Knauf corner tape u used? Thanks
"Create" is really a Great channel.
Every way you put it...Thanks a lot
Incredible!!!! Fusion of art and technology
❤️
Hello
Hello
Moin.
I had no idea where this was going but the result is very clever. 😊
Really nice techniques
Encorprating polystyrene and using it in the mold
Is extremely creative 🤯
Beautiful execution of a great concept! Bravo!
Sehr cool! 👍
Danke 😊
I admit, I swore when you planed the lead but for most of the rest of the time I had absolutely no idea what was going on. Great result though.
Again an awesome project, thanks! Could you give some more info regarding the concrete mix you use please?
thanks 🙏 i used microcement
I love your work and especially your attitude. Thank you so much for your work, creativity and choice of materials, components and decorations.
Nice build. I love your videos and always look forward to the next one
Exceptional skill
This channel has big future
this is an impressive project! 👏😎
This is awesome. Great job. Would love to see one with a wood veneer as well.
great work and great comment.
I gonna make one of this for my house !
Success never comes by dreaming but one works for it. Bravo!
That smile on his face when it finally hangs ❤️
That was sick!
Amazing concept and highly precise workmanship - it is real pleasure watching how carefully and accurately you work. Thank you for sharing! 😊
Hello! what did you make cement mortar out of?❤🔥🔥🔥
It is worth every second!
Unglaublich! Von A bis Z perfekt ❤
Wow! Ingenious! 👏
You are crazy artist Wonderful staff 😲😲🙃🙃
Very cool! Love the concept and execution. Thanks for sharing!
perfect perfectionist performance
Amazing Work!!
Hey danke Felix
Amazing project! Very impressive! ❤
great job😊
Me alegro mucho de verte de nuevo 👌
Loved this video! So relaxing 😌
Absolut beeindruckend 👍🏻
nice video! I really enjoy the skill and creativity on display.
Incredible piece of art (and engineering btw..)
hello buddy what's material that u mixed at 7:56 🤍
Hi mate It’s just epoxy
This is phenomenal.
Amazing work as always ☺☺
Anyone know where I can get the LED strips at 8:55?
That's a COB LED strip, they have a much higher density than regular strips.
Gold P150 COB 940 from paulmann
Great idea and craftmanship! Very inspiring.
Is lead safe to use
He did all the melting outside so I think the amounts are negligible. Would wash hands afterwards tho.
Probably most of lead he ever got intoxicated with is from his childhood when there was still lead in gasoline.
There's probably better alternatives, specially since it didn't need to be lead. But it's not that bad
No. Absolutely not. Especially sanding and grinding it.
Ganz großes Kino!
love your work bro, extreme talent👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Simply astonishing... I am speechless...
What is the white paper you were applying at 7:30?
that looks like silicone baking paper to me, it's available at bakery supply stores
No it’s a layer of fine glass fiber
Awesome build! Though it is not very serviceable, hopefully it will last long
Just discovered the channel tonight and sub’d! Watching more videos for the TRIPLE THREAT! Concrete, Stainless, Wood! Picking up little tricks in every video I’ve watched so far!
tolle Idee super Umsetzung - Danke
Herzlichen Dank!🙏🏽
How did you come up with the amount of lead weight you needed?
If I'm not mistaken the important part was not the weight itself but the placement of the counterweight bullets
I built a Prototyp first so I got some experience
Es ist sehr geil!!
Almost like a cement "veneer". Smart
What a fixture! I love it.
Awesome work as usual, love it great design
Amazing!
Is it underprised or iver priced if I say, (with the desk) $7000.00?
What is that you are you are casting? I can tell it is lead, but why not use ingots, crucible, and a smelting bucket?
I'd say, he uses lead sheets used in roofing. Maybe because of ease of access. crucible is not used, because why, when it works totally fine with the blow torch. He is not going for the perfect cast here. This is all just guessing 😉
Why would you add the complexity of crucibles, and a furnace, he did it the cheapest way, probably 2nd hand lead.
I kinda wish there would be just one wire going down to the lamp. Would it make it even cooler
What kind of wire was used? I can not really see that in the video at 12:30. Is just the steel wire, or some electrical wire in the middle?
From the fact that he used gun blue to turn it black, I'm guessing it's simple steel wire.
it is a galvanized braided steel cable
@@createdesign hi, can you touch these two wires without getting electrocuted?
Real innovation, of course made in Germany ! PS:Be aware of melting lead without an appropriate mask and ventilation!
That is why he was doing it outside in his yard
