    I'm a Chelsea fan but I would say son's move to Tottenham was definitely influential for the revitalization of Tottenham but also his influence of football in Asia now where we are seeing many great talents emerging. Great video!

    My fav players and what they brought to their teams
    Henry - Finesse shot and put fear in all defenders.
    Beckham - Bend it and long passes.
    Hazard - Dribbling past all, ran the show
    VanDjik - Calmness as a CB
    KDbryne - Pass master
    KANE - Purest finisher we've seen
    Drogba - Big game punisher, hold up play
    Bale - Power & Speed and awesome goals
    Suarez - scores any/all types of goals.
    LAMPARD - Consistency & stats
    Bergkamp - Ball control and best Prem goal ever.

    You guys should do some other unique topics before the season starts: Discuss greatest captains/leaders or iconic celebrations and hairstyles.
    You could also do a video building the "perfect footballer" with different attributes: shooting, IQ, pace, dribbling. But the twist is you can only use certain players (i.e. Manchester United all-time, current Premier league, players in Euro 2024, etc.)

    I've heard Cantona, I've heard Henry, I've heard Bergkamp, but realistically, the players (and club) most responsible for the massive influx of foreign talent in the late 90s and into the 2000s were the Chelsea boys. Firstly, the most important one was Gullit to Chelsea. Here you had one of the best players in the world at one point, a Ballon d'Or winner, a guy who won everything at club level and even his country's only ever international honour, coming to the Prem to play with, let's face it, mostly scrubs. He was way past his prime and only played a year and a bit, but his influence in bringing other foreign players, largely from Serie A, to England was massive, even though most of those were also past their best. The second biggest name in my eyes is Zola to Chelsea. While guys like Ravanelli and Vialli were either well into their 30s or average like Di Matteo, Zola was the first one to come to England while still more or less at his peak. He had just turned 30, was considered one of the best players in Italy, and took the Premier League by storm. He destroyed teams, and was one of the most technically gifted players to ever grace the Prem. I think Gullit and Zola are the two biggest names when it comes to impact because they were the most responsible for the arrival of foreign talent later on.

    • @amann7166
      @amann7166 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Great answer. You nailed it. Just one sidenote: Bergkamp arrived the same year as Gullit and Zola I think, so he was also important.

    • @Al-ji4gd
      @Al-ji4gd 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@amann7166 Bergkamp was important, but I don't think him arriving by himself would've changed anything. He was no different from Cantona in that regard. Cantona had already been in England for several years and his arrival did nothing to convince other players to come to the Prem. Chelsea changed the league and the attitude of the country towards foreign players and managers with Gullit's arrival.

    In terms of one player whose signing literally impacted his club and the league to the highest level AND longest years, it has to be Henry. Shoutout to KDB and Cantona though. Take these guys out of their teams and it kinda affects your entire perception of their clubs (and the league itself).

    For me it’s Ronaldo and Cantona
    Cantona helped us become the dominant force we were in the league setting us up to be as good as we were in the early stages of the league and really layed the foundation of Fergie’s legendary dominance with winning our first few top flight trophies after a 26 year drought
    Ronaldo helped us regain control in the league where Arsenal had their invincible season and a couple of league titles and Chelsea also going back to back if it had not been for him being world class in the 06-07 season the change of power would have heavily been in favor of either Arsenal or Chelsea we wouldn’t have caught and surpassed Liverpool for most top flight trophies also last player to win the ballon dor in the league as a winger to me is the prototype of the modern day winger that has the flair the can create but most importantly can cut in and be lethal in front of goal scoring any type of goal
    Shoutout to Sol Campbell too
