I think there's a lesson we can take away from Rise's struggle: You can put aside who you once were, to become something more. But that doesn't mean you have to act like it didn't happen, events ripple and cause change, the important thing is working with that change.
rise's struggle was wanting to be acknowledged for who she really is, not as some fake idol that she kept pretending to be to appease the public as a merchandise to be sold. her struggle is basically living a fake life and wanting to accept who she really is, but of course just like every choice it has its consequences.
Like I keep saying to people who aren't fans of Rise... You may think of her as just some model or actress but in all actuality she hasn't lived her life like any other person and has lived and done things more adult like as she stated at the bar scene where she know that and I paraphrase her quote "Once she leaves the room the real party begins" plus she more relatable than you may think as she wants to show who she really is in the inside and not the (ironically) Persona that other people seem to relate her more towards

Yu fough after he awakned his persona also, I think since Rise's perosna is'nt battle based, it might be likely that it does'nt take as much stamina during the first few minutes
@@peynnep6483 Her original persona wasn't actually meant for combat but in the animation it was able to fight and is the only persona I recall to transform 3 times and into a completely different type of persona. It starts as himiko and becomes kanzeon before becoming himiko again in p4au but as a combat persona.
I mean technically Yu awakens his persona in the real world instead of the TV world so there wasn't any target to begin with besides he can't summon a persona in the real world,when he truly awaken his persona once more in the TV world he isn't even fazed,Yu literally killed 3 shadows after awakening,he even beaten a damn shadow that also have a skill that Izanagi is vulnerable to (wind of oblivion) and to top it all off he done all of that solo using a damn Golf Club a weapon that isn't very durable so don't include Yu in there,very fitting for the Leader of the group tbh

Best video game ever, best character ever, and best voice actress ever. Laura Bailey does a damn excellent job as Rise in this game. The fact she loves the protagonist even before you begin her social link, that is not something you see in every video game. Also, I have always loved Laura Bailey's work. No matter what game she does, the voices she uses makes any game she does a million times better whenever I hear one. I hope I get to meet her someday.
I romanced Rise myself, and honestly, her openly affectionate personality is really charming. Laura Bailey really was the perfect choice for her. I think both her and Ann are the best Lovers Arcana girls for different, but slightly similar reasons. Ann for her acceptance and understanding of Joker's situation, due to some similarities, and the fact that she only requires level 2 kindness further solidifies her status for me, and she was with the Phantom Thieves from the very beginning. And they both have the same resolution at the end of their social links. Ann returning to her modeling, because she realized she wasn't taking it as seriously, and believes it to be her true calling, and Rise for returning to her idol career, because she realizes that Risette, the idol is also a part of her that she tried running from, and never fully accepted. Also, they both embrace being sexy
I agree, i wanted yukiko right from the start but thought I should hold off on her confident rank just to give the other girls a fair chance and still ended up choosing her - rise is a cutie though and definitely one I could easily go with (in fact most girls in persona games have strong reasons to pick them)
Same with me; Yukiko is definitely best P4 girl in my book. But I don’t think anyone’s feelings for Yu could match Rise’s; in the anime when they’re seeing him off she calls out “aishiteru”, a Japanese expression of unconditional love that is hardly ever used (if at all); I mean, that’s pretty intense, so let’s see another girl match that.
31:00 No one ever chooses it but I really like the 'What do you mean' option because Rise's response to it is pretty cute. She gets all frustrated and tells you to stop acting so normal.

Social rank level up to 8, that kind of emotion was missing in the original version of persona 4. This kind of emotion when she is crying, it actually sounds like she is emotional and it gives players a way to actually feel the same way she feels. That was well done it really brings out an rpg aspect.
Rise is the best choice for a girlfriend out of this entire game. It did piss me off that at the end when Rise hugged him, there was no animation for hugging her back. The residence of Japan are weird.

I recently got this game on the vita, replaying it basically, and I don't remember ever having seen the 8th social link scene in the original persona 4, but I went through it and I'm not sure why but I started getting choked up, just seeing rise sad and emotional about how shes sad that something she thought she hated was being torn from her was really sad, props to the writers for that link seriously.
I didn't like the choices though, you feel massively emotionally blackmailed to enter into the romance as just standing there doing nothing while she is crying seems like the most utter dick move.

You'd think that Inoue was being an asshole in rank 8, but I think it's more than that. I think Chie said something about how "showbiz people have ways of persuading people", and this was proof of that. He never complimented her because he knew that praise would inflate her ego and cause her to become complacent. It's a big reason why Rise had become so successful, because she never got complacent and perpetually worked her ass off trying to improve herself. Similarly, he had to be a dick and tell her that Kanami was going to be more successful than she was, if only to spark her competitive side. He purposely manipulated Rise into thinking she's lost everything to make her feel grief and remorse for leaving and get her to come back. He's a cold, manipulative son of a bitch. But like Rise herself, he cares about her success and knows how to get shit done. And that's what people in the business need to be like. What I like about Rise here is how much she matures in rank 10. She dedicates her comeback in part to Inuoe because she understands her responsibility to him. There's no doubt that he was a massive dick in multiple ways to Rise throughout their whole relationship: neglecting to praise her work, derogating her in comparison to Kanami, harassing her and invading her privacy, and just overall being a manipulative cunt, etc. to the point where Rise felt personally afflicted and threatened by his presence. Even in Arena Ultimax, it's pretty easy to see in their interactions that Inuoe still treats her like a child who's incapable of making decisions, judgements, or doing things of her own free will. But even so, Rise understands the part he played in granting her the success she earned and that what he did was, yes in part for his own business, but also for the sake of HER career. She's mature enough to understand Inuoe's responsibility as well as her responsibility to him for all he's done (along with her fans, friends, and family) to devote her comeback to his efforts. That's why I respect her so much here.

I think lovers just means it's the canon girl that likes you FIRST. Yukari clearly likes MC. Rise is clearly shown being jealous of your girlfriend and she likes you no matter who you go for. Ann probably cares about you quite a lot as well.

I recently got this game on the vita, replaying it basically, and I don't remember ever having seen the 8th social link scene in the original persona 4, but I went through it and I'm not sure why but I started getting choked up, just seeing rise sad and emotional about how shes sad that something she thought she hated was being torn from her was really sad, props to the writers for that link seriously.
I didn't like the choices though, you feel massively emotionally blackmailed to enter into the romance as just standing there doing nothing while she is crying seems like the most utter dick move.

You'd think that Inoue was being an asshole in rank 8, but I think it's more than that. I think Chie said something about how "showbiz people have ways of persuading people", and this was proof of that. He never complimented her because he knew that praise would inflate her ego and cause her to become complacent. It's a big reason why Rise had become so successful, because she never got complacent and perpetually worked her ass off trying to improve herself. Similarly, he had to be a dick and tell her that Kanami was going to be more successful than she was, if only to spark her competitive side. He purposely manipulated Rise into thinking she's lost everything to make her feel grief and remorse for leaving and get her to come back.
He's a cold, manipulative son of a bitch. But like Rise herself, he cares about her success and knows how to get shit done. And that's what people in the business need to be like.
What I like about Rise here is how much she matures in rank 10. She dedicates her comeback in part to Inuoe because she understands her responsibility to him. There's no doubt that he was a massive dick in multiple ways to Rise throughout their whole relationship: neglecting to praise her work, derogating her in comparison to Kanami, harassing her and invading her privacy, and just overall being a manipulative cunt, etc. to the point where Rise felt personally afflicted and threatened by his presence. Even in Arena Ultimax, it's pretty easy to see in their interactions that Inuoe still treats her like a child who's incapable of making decisions, judgements, or doing things of her own free will. But even so, Rise understands the part he played in granting her the success she earned and that what he did was, yes in part for his own business, but also for the sake of HER career. She's mature enough to understand Inuoe's responsibility as well as her responsibility to him for all he's done (along with her fans, friends, and family) to devote her comeback to his efforts. That's why I respect her so much here.
