Ik that your probably not gonna see this, but this guy came to my school to do a science presentation for the kindergarten class, and being the 8th graders (my school is k-8) we had to help them. As my kindergartener at the 3D printer, I saw that one of the things that was printed was a bearing. I love roller skating, so I started explaining how bearings work to my friend Martha, since it was a good opportunity to show her since I had an example. Then the guy who was running this came up to me and started saying to us that he’s a professional skateboarder and one of the creators of flat ball. I said I was pretty good at roller skating, and then he said he new this one really good roller skater who owns her own company, so I asked who, and he said “her skate name is estrojen” and I was like OH MY GOD and started freaking out bc I love you and the moxi skate team sooooo much. Then he was telling me how nice you are and how you sometimes visit Philly. So I just wanted to say hi and tell you this little story, love ya💛💛💛

Today I got my first Quads! When I was about 6 I had inline skates. Once they got too small on me I decided to wait to get new skates when I got to the age where I didn't think my feet would get too much bigger. I originally planned to get inline skates but fell in love with how Quads look and what you can do with them. Super excited and hopefully can make a new and healthy hobby! ♥️

My favorite surface I've skated on so far has been smooth asphalt. I'm super new to skating outdoors, and it's been years since I've skated last, and that was on rollerblades. I've been breaking in my Beach Bunnies, and I'm so happy to see even the littlest bit of progress in skill. Thank you for your tutorials!!!! ❤️❤️

I've been trying to conquer obstacles without really knowing what I'm doing, but hearing about safe and effective technique gives me much more confidence, so THANK YOU! Exploring my neighborhood on wheels gives me a totally different perspective. In addition to picking a cheek, can you go over or give a tutorial on all of the safest ways to fall in case you are falling forward or to the side? Maybe even falling drills? Thank you!

My first time skating in LA was also by the Walt Disney Concert Hall. I got excited watching part of where I skated and how free and joyful I felt even though I had probably owned my skates for about a week.
I knew I've been homesick, but watching you stroll a mini tour as you roll, oddly made me realize how much I dislike my surroundings (Berkeley/Oak./S.F. Bay area) yet I replay this over and over. Roller skating through the heart of L.A. is so soothing. Honestly, if there was no social distancing orders and the streets were not so isolated, I'd be checking frame by frame to see if I see someone I know in the background. You know that warm delighted feeling you felt when you saw Nick the Medic? That feeling I'm sure to get when the restrictions are lifted and I see L.A. living. It would even excite me to see my favorite Esquite man while I watch you roll through. Btw, I thought Nick the Medic was just a nickname but he really is one. DTLA has so much history, many public and hidden parts with street art. What's the construction progress of the new 6th Street Bridge? Curious if you would be doing this roll through if there was no social distancing order? The energy of the people living life is missing. I hope you do more street rolls day, night, with people, rolling through free events or isolated streets. An L.A.view from a roller skate point of view.

What is the most important first skill to learn when outdoor aggressive street skating? is it speed? or jumps? I want to get to where when I am skating, and I come across something, like big cracks, big bumps, I want to jump over it, instead of stopping and stepping on it.
Thank thank you for many tips and how to dos etc. Love it. I bought maxi rider recently in LB and didn’t realize that it’s for beginners. Actually I went to the rink a lot when I was younger and still do at the rink once a while. I grew up in CA but now I live in KY. Almost every summer I visit my family in CA. Outside skating is my first time. Next time I need to find right model for skate. I want both rink and outside. Do you feel the same tricks, moves at rink and outside? Pls advise if I should buy hybrid like both rink and outside skates or separate skates the better? How skill am I, i am pretty good and probably sort of beginner at the rink. I can do backward, stop, speed, crossover at curve. But some awkward moves at same time lol.
Favorite Surface: Any! Well, okay, not the torn up, stuff like we have here with a 2 inch "dip" down to the original cobblestone in some areas, but yeah...anything other than that, I'll skate it! LOL I grew up in artistic/rhythm skates from the time I was 2 years old. In my late 20's/early 30's, I switched to speed/derby skates. SWORE I'd never get another high top again. I don't seem to have the balance issues many do (even though, while in gymnastics I wasn't allowed near the beam - couldn't stay on that thing if my life had depended on it - not even to walk...still fall off when trying to walk on the PAINTED lines in parking lots! LOL)...anyway....I now have 7 speed/derby skates, 2 high tops, 2 shoe builds...and...finally saved enough so I can get a Lolly! Now...if only I knew which color to get. LOVE the Taffy, but I've already got 1 full purple and one half purple (Riedell Ombre's - green and purple) skate...was thinking of the Pool Blue, but...I've got the royal blue Candi Girls...then thought of the Fuchsia, but, my husband just got my daughter and I (same foot size) a neon pink pair of Roller Derby skates this past November...and I'd like to stick to the darker colors - which leaves Poppy (I don't have a red skate yet!)....but at the same time, I'm hoping those gorgeous LIGHT purple ones will be out soon, too. I know, I just need to win the lotto and buy EVERY color.. No, seriously, I would...along with a couple Jack's as well. LOL Hmm...and a bigger skate rack. Actually, already a new rack coming. 19 pairs of skates in my house (1 belongs to my niece, 3 are my 16 year old's, 2 are hubby's, 10 1/2 are mine, , 2 1/2 are my youngest's)...the rack I have only holds 16 pairs. All of ours - ecept hubby's - are set up for different types of skating. Well...were...until about 2 months ago when I put outdoor wheels on ALL of them. LOL
OMG you have so many beautiful skateable areas!! I'm so jealous! I live in the Netherlands, where almost every street is bricks. And here places are so much smaller. As a beginner it can be very hard to find a suitable and quiet place to practice!
G J As cute as there colors are ( I want to own at least three too ) if you want to get really good at skating you should focus more on investing into plates and wheels to find your ideal setup.

Quick message from an old skater on England. I'm just shy if 50, I've been skating Street and ramps for 5 years now. My advice is keep skating!!! ( But keep within your capability) it's slow progress but you will feel comfortable eventually if you keep at it!
I skate but the gf does inline. I’ve been showing your videos, so she does feel a bit more inspired. However, she prefers the inline over the old school ones. Maybe one day, we can bring skateboarders and rollerbladers together.
inline is a lot more versatile for street. maybe one day all skaters will realize, we all (quad, inline, board, etc) just love the sensation of wheels under are feet

All the tree & plant debris & the little bolitas (balls/fruit/IDK) are the most hazardous while skating. They trip me & occasionally if I'm not paying attention, it's something that has fallen off a tree that causes me to stumble and fall. Besides trying to avoid & skate around, what do you recommend when the sidewalks up ahead have plant debris? You past a couple of blocks that had a lot of plant debris but it was piling on the sides of the sidewalk Speed is your friend with bumps & cracks but plant debris it doesn't matter. Slow or fast, they are a trip and I feel it's a matter of luck when the trip ends in a fall.
Such smooth places✨ I ride all the way down to my closet gas station and it's still not as smooth😒 I still love some bumps there fun to go over some times but my place has huge bumps and cracks💀

Watched your video and your so amazing at skating and tho I haven’t ever skated much in my life I really want to learn and get to be so good I can actually be as good as you are and not be scared . I realize it will take time but since I’m always alone is there any tips you can give as far as where to start in door or door and I do have Vinyl flooring
I’m from Australia and when going down hill I can’t really use the roads because there are usually heaps of cars so I have to use the extremely narrow footpaths and it is really scary cause as a beginner skater I can’t backward skate very well or have enough room to do the smiley face technique to be able to control my speed. So I usually end in a crash landing after loosing control of my balance :/
I've been trying every technique to control my speed when going down hills and nothing I mean absolutely none of them are working, the harder I try the faster I go. I can't take another fall I just feel like giving up. The only thing I can thing of is I'm on Pulse light wheels instead of the 65 mm wheels but I don't know. I'm frustrated.

I can’t believe how smooth the streets there are in general. The streets here are all torn up and full of shards of stone from the early 1900s. Gah!

Ours in Northern Ontario Canada are really bad too due to our cold winters. I look for outdoor rinks!
Also try basketball or tennis courts, trails or even a parking lot (preferably concrete).
I found this empty public ice rink that has perfect smooth concrete 👏 it’s like I’m floating compared to the street

So jealous of how smooth the streets are there! I love in the north east of England and our roads and pavements are pretty bumpy and gravelly
some streets in the uk have so many different types of tarmac it’s pretty annoying

My favourite skating surface is polished wooden floors! Sooooo smooth and absorbent, and really easy to manoeuvre on :-)

Outside skating is my first time. Next time I need to find right model for skate. I want both rink and outside. Do you feel the same tricks, moves at rink and outside? Pls advise if I should buy hybrid like both rink and outside skates or separate skates the better? How skill am I, i am pretty good and probably sort of beginner at the rink. I can do backward, stop, speed, crossover at curve. But some awkward moves at same time lol.

Favorite Surface: Any! Well, okay, not the torn up, stuff like we have here with a 2 inch "dip" down to the original cobblestone in some areas, but yeah...anything other than that, I'll skate it! LOL
I grew up in artistic/rhythm skates from the time I was 2 years old. In my late 20's/early 30's, I switched to speed/derby skates. SWORE I'd never get another high top again. I don't seem to have the balance issues many do (even though, while in gymnastics I wasn't allowed near the beam - couldn't stay on that thing if my life had depended on it - not even to walk...still fall off when trying to walk on the PAINTED lines in parking lots! LOL)...anyway....I now have 7 speed/derby skates, 2 high tops, 2 shoe builds...and...finally saved enough so I can get a Lolly! Now...if only I knew which color to get. LOVE the Taffy, but I've already got 1 full purple and one half purple (Riedell Ombre's - green and purple) skate...was thinking of the Pool Blue, but...I've got the royal blue Candi Girls...then thought of the Fuchsia, but, my husband just got my daughter and I (same foot size) a neon pink pair of Roller Derby skates this past November...and I'd like to stick to the darker colors - which leaves Poppy (I don't have a red skate yet!)....but at the same time, I'm hoping those gorgeous LIGHT purple ones will be out soon, too.
I know, I just need to win the lotto and buy EVERY color.. No, seriously, I would...along with a couple Jack's as well. LOL Hmm...and a bigger skate rack.
Actually, already a new rack coming. 19 pairs of skates in my house (1 belongs to my niece, 3 are my 16 year old's, 2 are hubby's, 10 1/2 are mine, , 2 1/2 are my youngest's)...the rack I have only holds 16 pairs. All of ours - ecept hubby's - are set up for different types of skating. Well...were...until about 2 months ago when I put outdoor wheels on ALL of them. LOL
OMG you have so many beautiful skateable areas!! I'm so jealous! I live in the Netherlands, where almost every street is bricks. And here places are so much smaller. As a beginner it can be very hard to find a suitable and quiet place to practice!
So like... I already have 3 pairs of lollys. Should I aim to collect all the other colors too? 😁
G J As cute as there colors are ( I want to own at least three too ) if you want to get really good at skating you should focus more on investing into plates and wheels to find your ideal setup.

Sure if you like wasting money and collecting. Why not get different pairs for different situations or even upgrading

Quick message from an old skater on England. I'm just shy if 50, I've been skating Street and ramps for 5 years now. My advice is keep skating!!! ( But keep within your capability) it's slow progress but you will feel comfortable eventually if you keep at it!

I skate but the gf does inline. I’ve been showing your videos, so she does feel a bit more inspired. However, she prefers the inline over the old school ones. Maybe one day, we can bring skateboarders and rollerbladers together.
inline is a lot more versatile for street. maybe one day all skaters will realize, we all (quad, inline, board, etc) just love the sensation of wheels under are feet

All the tree & plant debris & the little bolitas (balls/fruit/IDK) are the most hazardous while skating. They trip me & occasionally if I'm not paying attention, it's something that has fallen off a tree that causes me to stumble and fall. Besides trying to avoid & skate around, what do you recommend when the sidewalks up ahead have plant debris? You past a couple of blocks that had a lot of plant debris but it was piling on the sides of the sidewalk Speed is your friend with bumps & cracks but plant debris it doesn't matter. Slow or fast, they are a trip and I feel it's a matter of luck when the trip ends in a fall.

Such smooth places✨ I ride all the way down to my closet gas station and it's still not as smooth😒 I still love some bumps there fun to go over some times but my place has huge bumps and cracks💀
Sometimes those bumpy rides can definitely make it more fun!

Hey, I know this a bit late, but what wheels do you recommend for street skating?
I’m from Australia and when going down hill I can’t really use the roads because there are usually heaps of cars so I have to use the extremely narrow footpaths and it is really scary cause as a beginner skater I can’t backward skate very well or have enough room to do the smiley face technique to be able to control my speed. So I usually end in a crash landing after loosing control of my balance :/

I've been trying every technique to control my speed when going down hills and nothing I mean absolutely none of them are working, the harder I try the faster I go. I can't take another fall I just feel like giving up. The only thing I can thing of is I'm on Pulse light wheels instead of the 65 mm wheels but I don't know. I'm frustrated.
