Coming up on my 3year anniversary, and I'm literally in the middle of a severe craving RIGHT NOW. Literally out of the middle of NOWHERE and I'm scared.
Amy McC Hey! Hope you’ve been doing alright! Understand the triggers that led to that craving and remove anything triggering for a while, hope this helps! Wish you well!
Thanks guys, I got through that craving and have continued on my my journey. That day did catch me off guard though, it just proves that our addiction will always be there just waiting for a moment of weakness. So we must be hypervigilant with our defenses and continue to add coping skills and strategies to our toolbox, so we can all beat this monster called addiction. Love y'all! ✌️❤️🤗🙏
This is really helpful .... i had about 16 months up and i had a 7 month old baby i became depressed and isolated in lockdown and i relapsed with someone else .... 8 months later i am just getting clean now
Thank you. I'm just now starting recovery and I'm trying to prepare... I don't have anyone I feel comfortable calling right now if and when I do get severe urges, because I really don't wanna worry anyone. But I'm sure theres hotlines out there. Just typing this out feels good. Thanks again
The past two times I’ve given into cravings and gone and purchased drugs only to be bitterly relieved that they weren’t drugs and I had been scammed. Happy I only lost money instead of my cleanliness but still annoyed I keep getting so far then give in and feel the need to buy stuff. I’m just so lucky I was scammed with fake drugs as I’m still clean. A very bittersweet lesson
That was fun , thank you . I enjoyed very much the setting outside where you spoke . The only thing missing might have been a tiny finch landing on the table briefly , hoping for a little green grub or a speck of cheese. 🌕💚❤️💛🐾🥰
I find cravings creep up slowly. It doesn’t bang you on the face and say give it To me now. It builds up and up and up until eventually it’s take over your brain your thoughts. Eventually it takes over you and it’s very hard to get away from the craving that it’s so easy to give in or very hard to say no. My question is how do you conquer the craving when it first starts to creep up on you and not let it get to the stage where it consumes you? Also it’s not a 5 min thing. It can take a whole day until you just can’t say no anymore?
@@mauricet910 same I have no friends. I just end up using alone and contemplating suicide from all the self imposed misery. But today is day 1 sober so far
@@Ozpenski Hey man, hope you're staying strong. It's day 3 for me. I can relate to you. I'm alone all the time and get high or drunk. Nothing good happening here.
@@Ozpenski Here's something positive... I was very close to leaving the house and buying booze, but then your message popped up. And now it's too late because the stores will close. You saved my ass today, thanks man.
No one talks about cravings YEARS into recovery, thank you for this!
"...reinforce the recovery..."

it's all about the mind, so if You can make mind concentrated on something not related to addiction, then sooner or later cravings will go away.
Thanks for this ❤
