Thank you 😊 I’m in personal lines currently and moving to commercial. I’m excited and ready to take on. It’s a great move for me and will keep me involved.
What about a mobil auto paint and detail business like doing small paint jobs at a clients driveway? Wich insurance would you recommend, ? Great video much appreciated
Thank you for this informative videos My agent is asking be buy GL for my trucking business. How General Liability can help Trucking Businesses apart from 1million liability coverage trucking businesses have to have as standard policy ? Any common examples you might want to suggest
Good content. However, I'd recommend you to add more visuals while you explain an individual topic. This will make it easier for viewers to understand better.
Do you need a llc for general liability. I need the insurance for a construction job so I'd be doing sub work but don't have a business or anythimg the general contractor said he doesn't have employees but subs the work out
You can purchase general liability as a sole proprietor in your name, but that's not a great idea since all potential liability will be focused on you personally. In my opinion, forming an LLC or Corporation segments your liability away from you. That should be discussed with a business attorney. Hope that helps.
Would a contractor’s “General Liability” insurance (as listed on an ACORD 101) cover damages to a customer’s property caused by an employee of the contractor, and by a subcontractor hired by he contractor.
OK, so what if a 3rd party damages their vehicle on the insured premises. Will this be covered under the GL policy? Also, when you say "owned autos" , do you mean vehicles that the insured owns??
Nice, I got a company name to work with a staffing agency to provide support service in the oilfield, Do i need a general liability or personal liability.
That's going to depend on what the employment arrangement is. If the staffing firm is paying you then probably not. If the oilfield is the employer then you need to find out if you're a W-2 or 1099 employee. Hope that helps.
Hi Maryam, General Liability does not pay injured workers, that's the job of a workers comp policy. Liability will pay for claims from injured third parties caused by an insured's actions or products. Let me know if that answers it. You can always call or email me, my contact info is in the description box. Thanks!
Hi thanks for the video I have a small Buisness that’s trying to Rent batteries operated phone chargers, we are buying them from a factory on China. So in this case will need general liability insurance + Product and completed operation insurance But do you have any idea on a provider? I have been calling everyone and none of them want to cover a batteries product Thanks
Hey Charles - Products liability insurance for any battery product is very difficult right now due to all the lithium battery fires occurring. If you want to have a conversation about this, give me a call at 845-474-2924 and I'll see what we can do for you. Thanks
I am preparing for a commercial insurance Podcast, this was very helpful in terms of getting my questions lined up. I def learned a few things. How will carriers address the continued of incandescent bulbs in buildings now that the Biden Administration has outlawed them? Do you forsee pollution related lawsuits arising from this/.
Hey CJ - General Liability won't cover tools, equipment or other property. What is needed is specific coverage for tools which is typically bundled with General Liability in a package or BOP policy for contractors (assuming that's the field you're in). Hope that helps.
Good question, I would look online for a broker that specializes in sports and entertainment. I think General Liability is a must, then add some sort of accident policy to cover player injuries. Some insurers will also include abuse and molestation extensions.
Hi! We are a small company. Family bussiness. We are doing nerf gun wars all across the whole town. Rent + public places. What kind of insurance do we need? GL or + property insurance as well?
I would say you need general liability insurance. Don't think you need property insurance since it sounds like you don't own any business property. You may want to look at special event insurance for these "wars".
Hi - That's going to depend on the region you're in. I find that insurance company appetites change from one area of the country to the next and no one is consistently "the best" at anything. My suggestion is find a broker that specializes in food trucks or mobile catering - try: roguerisk.com, who is a buddy of mine and I think they do mobile catering.

Hey Colye,
Do you allow your video's to be shared as an educational?
Subscribed.
not sure what you mean by "shared"? Can you elaborate?
Which form do I use to get General Liability, Umbrella and Workers Comp Insurance?
not sure I understand what you mean by "which form"?
Thank you..!
Is this a good choice for a moving company?
I'm not sure what you mean buy a good choice? Moving companies do need General Liability Insurance as part of their insurance program though.
Great video is commercial general liability insurance recommended for a landlord owning a multi family rental property in nyc?
Most definately! Not only liability but also excess or umbrella liability as well to achieve higher limits of protection!

From what you described, yes under the Property Damage portion of the policy.
Thank you.

I should have said ACORD 25, but I think your answer applies here also. @@TheCoyleGroupNY

What's different between general liability insurance and worker compensation insurance, both pays for injured workers
