- Für meinen ersten Besuch als Aussteller auf der Euro Model Expo in Lingen hatte ich bereits sehr hohe Erwartungen, die zu meiner Überraschung sogar noch deutlich überboten wurden! Gut beleuchtete Hallen mit viel Platz, viele interessierte Besucher und fabelhafte Modelle so weit das Auge reicht. Auch die Händler hatten einiges im Angebot.
Besonders gefreut hat es mich viele meiner Freunde und Unterstützer dort einmal persönlich treffen zu können. Da komme ich doch gerne nächstes Jahr wieder!

I had high expectations for my first time at the Euro Model Expo in Lingen as an exhibitor, but to my surprise my expectations got surpassed not only by a margin! Well lit halls with a lot of space, a lot of interested visitors and awesome models wherever you looked. The vendors had some cool offers as well.
In particular i was happy to meet some of my friends and supporters there in person. Because of all these things i would like to go there again next year!

After attending one of these shows or seeing a video, I can't help but want to head straight to the work bench and get building! Some amazing builds but just loved the Coast Guard cutter at 2:05 - excellent model and amazing water effects! Thanks for the video.
Same goes for me, mojo is boiling over when i return from such shows :) So much inspiration and good ideas on display.

Hallo Michael ... ich war schon sehr gespannt auf Deinen Bericht über Lingen und ich muss sagen ich bin überwältigt ... so viel großartige Modelle und Dioramen ... toll ... der Weg in den Norden scheint sich ja wirklich mehr als gelohnt zu haben! ... vielen Dank für die schön bebilderte Zusammenfassung :-) ... You are welcome Gabriel :) Got me some Romanian figures there and a 35(t), which the Romanians also used in WW2.
@@HamilkarBarkasScaleModelling Romanians used any war material the can lay their hands on :) the equipment situation was really desperate, especially after the German Allies couldn't make good their losses anymore.
Yes, this is a very popular and endeared modelling subject within Romanian modelling community. Romanian soldier figures are quite rare and most of the time we need to convert Russian or French ones.
Which company produces the ones you bought? I know only about the ones from HAT Collectibles (1/72)?
And - yes - thank you for your fledgling interest in Romanian history.
The ones i got are by D-Day miniatures. Lovely resin :)

I knew this was going to be good, so I got myself a quality beer to go with my cheese and crackers. Wow!!! What a display! Loved it all! The cow on the ice gave me a smile, as well as the killer tomatoes being attacked by machine robots things. Seriously, high quality model building going on at that show. THANKS FOR SHARING :)
You did it right Russ :) I did cut back on taking photos at one point and also did not include all pics i took there in the video, it would have been overwhelming in the end.

I'm a little late to the party because my wife had surgery for colon cancer, but I can't thank you enough for posting these videos. There was some absolutely beautiful work on display. If I've said it once, I'll say it again, you sir, are a lucky man to be able to attend such great shows. Thank you for letting those of us without those shows near us to live vicariously through your videos!

A great mix of topics and variations, quality builds all, kept my interest from beginning 'til end. Going back to the essentials though, can you remember what scale the Viggen was? I need to get some of those rocket pods!! :)
I don´t know if you realize this, but i always make sure to show something swedish (preferibly a Draken or a Viggen) in the first few minutes, just for you Sir! Makes me giggle, because i do it on purpose and nobody knows :D Not sure about the scale of this beauty though, i think it was a 1/48 scaler.
@@HamilkarBarkasScaleModelling Yes, I am well aware and I appreciate it.. :) But yes, there was plenty of eye candy in that video, not just the Viggen. I have a feeling it could well be 1/48 scale, yes. I haven't got an AJ in my collection yet (not that you can tell the difference, they all look the same in camo) but once I find a set of rocket pods and Rb 05 Air-to-surface missiles I'll build one. I'm sure there is a set of resin rocket pods done in 1/72 , somewhere.

That one caught my attention early on as well, very cool for a 1/72nd scale piece! I don´t know any details about it though. Its a cool subject.

There is some incredible work out there, i am glad that those people decide to bring these pieces to a model show and display it there.

Superb models. A pity some of the aircraft modellers seem to think that asphalt runways are pristine! I realise that they probably don't want to divert attention away from their otherwise excellent models, but I think a well worn and oil-stained asphalt base (with a few repairs) adds a great deal to the overall effect.
I can agree with that to some extend, it appears sometimes that not everything is built to the same standard, especially when it comes to figures. The guys spend a long time to get their tank, car or aircraft model right but cut corners on the diorama base and the figures.
@@HamilkarBarkasScaleModelling To be fair, they are different skills.
I can do a reasonable AFV with weathering etc, but tend to leave off canvas rolls because I can't simulate material very well (hence I also steer clear of figures!). Not to mention that faces are difficult to get right. Getting vegetation and grass etc. looking realistic also isn't easy.
I take my hat off to all these modellers, overall, though. There is some real skill on display here!

Ja sehr schöne Auswahl! Alles zu zeigen ist ja in dem Zeitrahmen einfach nicht möglich. Als ich das Diorama von 11:30 gesehen habe, hing der Turm vom Tiger allerdings noch zwischen den beiden Kranen in der Luft. War auf jeden Fall sehr schön, dich mal zu treffen. Hoffe, dann bald auch mal privat von dir zu hören. Nummer hast du ja ;-)
Es war mir auch eine Freude dich zu treffen :) Jetzt wo dus sagst, ich glaube auch dass der Tiger Turm wohl eher an die Kräne gehört, das sähe überzeugender aus. Habe das Bild Samstags gemacht glaube ich.
@@HamilkarBarkasScaleModelling Samstag Vormittag hing er auf jeden Fall noch dazwischen. Darunter auf dem Schild ein Hinweis, dass das anheben dieser Türme mit zwei Mobilkranen strengstens verboten war.
