- Bei erstaunlich kühlem Wetter ging es neulich wieder nach Unterfranken zu den Modelltagen in Stammheim am Main. Normalerweise fand diese Ausstellung stets Anfang Juli statt, diesmal war der Termin auf Mitte Juni angesetzt worden, was sich auf jeden Fall sehr positiv ausgewirkt hat. Die Hallen des Museums für Militär- und Zeitgeschichte, auf dessen Gelände die Modelltage abgehalten wurden, heizen sich während der sonst üblichen sommerlichen Hitzewellen im Juli stets sehr unangenehm auf...
So konnte man bei sehr angenehmen Temperaturen voll und ganz die Ausstellung genießen! Es gab wieder viel zu sehen und zu kaufen, sodass wohl jeder Besucher und Aussteller auf seine Kosten gekommen ist.
Mir gefällt dort besonders, dass dort nicht jedes Jahr eins zu eins die gleichen Aussteller vor Ort sind, sondern man stets viele neue Gesichter und Modelle zu sehen bekommt - ideal zum knüpfen von Kontakten und einfach Abwechslungsreich! Außerdem gibt es auf dem Außengelände noch einige Originalfahrzeuge zu bestaunen und auch die RC-Modellbauer haben viel Interessantes zu zeigen.
Ich war für einen Tag als Besucher vor Ort und hatte enorm viel Spaß an den vielen tollen Gesprächen mit meinen Modellbau-Kollegen. Das tut immer gut und gehört für mich genauso zum Hobby wie der handwerkliche Part.
Natürlich habe ich wieder viele Photos für euch gemacht, was bei den teilweise schwierigen Lichtverhältnissen nicht ganz einfach war. Ich hoffe ihr könnt den kleinen Messebericht trotzdem genießen!

During surprisingly cool weather conditions i made a trip to Lower Franconia again to visit the Model Days in Stammheim am Main. This show used to take usually place in early July, but this time it was scheduled for mid June, which was a very good decission in my opinion. The halls of the Museum for Military and Contemporary history, which opened its plot and buildings to host this show, tend to get really warm during the usual heatwaves in July...
This time one could fully enjoy this show thanks to the pleasant temperatures! There was a lot to see and to buy there, so i am sure every visitor and exhibitor was happy.
What i like in particular about this show is the fact that not the very same exhibitors show up there every year. There is plenty of space for newcomers and their models - that is ideal to meet new people and it simply ensures a good amount of variety! Apart from that there were plenty of real vehicles and RC models to behold in the outdoor area.
I was there for one day as a visitor and enjoyed all the chats with my fellow scale modellers a lot. This is always pleasant and to me as important as the craft part of this hobby.
Of course i took many photos for you there, but that was not easy due to the tricky light conditions there. I hope you enjoy my small show report anyway!

Es ist immerhin die größte Ausstellung dieser Art in Bayern, daher war wirklich einiges geboten. Ich hatte das Glück, es dieses Jahr voll auskosten zu können :)
Another great show, and it looks like the location was perfect as well, from what I could see.. :) I went to the small local show at Ipswich last Saturday, it is a nice and friendly show and it only takes 20 minutes by car to get there.. :) I won a couple of kits in the raffle, one of which is the MiniArt 1/35 T-60 Tank, which comes with individual links for the track. It will be the first time I will ever attempt to assemble tracks like that, but I'm not sure when I'll get round to doing it.. It's only 86 links per track, so it's not too bad. I guess it's about time I take the plunge and try to do tracks like that.. there's a first for everything... :)

I saw you posted even a show report video, which i failed to watch yet...will catch up with a videos soon, even though i will reduce both my output and consumption here on TH-cam from now on. However, a few friends out there can count on me watching and interacting with them despite that :)
@@HamilkarBarkasScaleModelling Well, I will keep looking out for your videos, as and when.. It is time consuming making videos and you put a lot of work into your videos as well, so it is fully understandable if you want to ease off a little bit. I was lucky at the Ipswich show, because one of my favourite traders was there, and I didn't expect him to be, as the show is so small. He sells shrubbery and other accessories at very good prices so I stocked up on some.. :) My current project is the old Italeri 1/35 Panzerwerfer 42 Auf Maultier, but I am building it with all hatches and doors closed, so have not bothered doing the interior. Cheating, perhaps, but sometimes you have to go for the easier option.. :)

danke für das Video🙂. Schade, dass Du Deine Aktivitäten auf You-Tube reduzieren willst. Das verstehe ich vollkommen. Ich lerne immer noch von Deinen Videos von ca. 13 Jahren bis heute. Immer noch cool sind Deine Präsentationen vom Sdkfz. 251, dem Hetzer und StuG IV (alle andere natürlich auch)🙂. Diese schaue mir immer sehr oft an. Ist tolles Referenzmaterial für Modellbauer.

Das ist eben leider notwendig geworden, zumindest was TH-cam angeht. Der Vorfall hätte auch leicht das Ende bedeuten können, aber ich kann ja dem Kanal nicht einfach so den Stecker ziehen :) Es geht weiter, nur eben anders.

5:12 sieht sehr beeindruckend aus das Arnheim Diorama mit der Windmühle!
Das ist in der Tat ein Meisterstück, gebaut von Martin Blümlein. Man kennt ihn auch als Autor bei der Modell Fan.
Das Dio mit der Windmühle hat er netterweise bei einer Ausgabe der Video Model Show eingereicht gehabt, nun konnte ich es mal in natura sehen und ihn auch persönlich kennenlernen. Immer schön!
So many excellent projects there! I'll admit I laughed when I saw the Ork Ghostbusters. I'm continuously pausing to check out how they did some of the scenery and smaller details that surround the model(s) on display. LMFAO Baron von Munchhausen! Looks like it was a cool venue with some dealers too. Must have been a good time.
Absolutely agree on that, the Orc themed builds by my buddy Raiko were just hilarios and very creative!
I am thinking of going to the Kulmbach show this year to finally have a look at it.

Schön eingefangene Impressionen. Sind tolle Werke und einige haben auch beträchtliche Ausmaße. Da braucht schon fast seine eigene kleine Ausstellungshalle als Modellbauer.

Cheers Mister NOB! The armor models have the big edge there, normally the majority of the display is taken up by aircraft models. This show is an exception from this rule.

That museum is really cool even when there is no model show taking place there :) But there is other stuff closer to Munich, that is worth a visit for sure! Ever been to the Bavarian Army Museum in Ingolstadt? That is a must.
