      I had to watch this video again because I was distracted it was interesting to see what I did not get the first time like the neurological fixes. The different proteins in our brains which makes sense considering some people are not health conscious, but what stood out the most was when I was listening to her talk about her childhood experience with her mother which I went through the same thing and when you spoke about your experience as a kid and I was the same child always getting in trouble because of sexual abuses. I never realized how those traumas can still be affecting me now so thank you for her and helping me get better God bless 💕🙏

      Lewis, please help us help our kids and speak to someone to teach us parents how to rebuild confidence and self esteem in our kids, I think there's going to be more children suffering in the next few years we need to know how we can help them get through these tough times in their own language so they don't just "not listen" but are interested in what we're saying and we can stop them getting to adulthood with the traumas that are going on right now 🌻💞

    Back in 2012 my wife and I were going through a traumatic situation and I had to make a difficult decision, and I wasn't sure which way to go. The whole time I was sick to my stomach, feeling like I wanted to throw up but not quite. As soon as I made a decision and the situation was over my stomach felt better. It was clear to me the whole time that it was a physical symptom of a challenging dilemma in my mind.

    I love this! I had the same experience as a child. I tried as a teen to end it because my step dad said I was useless and teachers kept telling me I was never going to amount to anything. I have worked tirelessly to understand why about life. I learnt to ruminate from my maternal mother. I m challenged by the ‘blame’ I learnt. It is holding me back too. I write it a lot ….but not the mind mapping. I mind map for stories with children and they are my ‘why’. I am blessed to have unconditional love from my students who keep my monkey mind at bay. Children are honest and genuine in what they see …..it is the processing that has got me. I haven’t had the chance to process the emotions and memories with therapy so I make collages and write a lot …..a lot …..stories are so powerful …..a story for children to show them it is ok to be different. I have Nuero diverse learning needs. How many authoritarian people who are teachers still believe we should be learning the colonial patriarchal way. Nope

      @maitrikarna9278 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Samiya Masih I'm currently struggling with a pretty constant state of neurosis, After having recovered from psychosis without proper treatment or support.
      I honestly do not want anyone to be around me right now, because I know that I cannot truly be present for them or help them, except for maybe relate a little bit to something they are going through.
      Besides mental health professionals, myself, My faith and spiritual practice, My dog, and I'm hoping soon a work environment where I can feel comfortable and thrive a bit... I'm no use to anyone until I'm more healed. Otherwise, I will simply bring people down, or disorient them, or even make them relapse into crisis or struggle if they are recovering from mental health problems.

    • @maitrikarna9278
      @maitrikarna9278 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Samiya Masih It is not narcissistic to let go of people who are unhealthy. Is actually more narcissistic to hold on to them... But it's just a bit sadder of a reality.
      But I will also say that I understand your frustration, because being in a state of aberration and perpetual neurotic thinking and feeling, It is very very difficult, and sometimes it feels like all you need is for a healthy minded person to be there for you.
      But experience has taught me that it's only in crisis that a very stable person should have to even consider any duty dealing with the mentally unwell. And once the crisis is over, gosh it puts a strain on the relationship... Because everybody is struggling and suffering, Even if they're able to help you in a crisis... Once the crisis is over, now you have a mentally unwell person and the typical struggling person... How much can we really expect them to do for us, If we cannot do it back for then in good time?
      Sometimes the more stable people seem like they're totally put together, and it can feel very alienating and unfair and even cause feelings of envy. But these feelings are not realistic, because I promise you that these people are fighting their own silent battles as well.
      I sincerely pray that all of us, whether we're climbing out of hell, trapped in the pits of it, or escaped from it long ago, can just keep ourselves as high above the suffering and negatives as possible.

    Think about what we have been programmed to do around our diet and feeling guilty about what we eat or do or don't do, etc. Toxic thought patterns all over. This also makes me think about praying before, during or after eating, maybe the more I learn about things like this, praying or giving thanks before a meal has multiple benefits.

    I personally have been combining Hindu teachings with science research on the mind, brain, and all parts of the body.
    One thing Gurus and Hindu teachings tell you, is to look at the food you eat as sacred because it is one major thing that sustains life for the mind and body.
    She stated early in this video, that your state of mind whilst eating, affects how affectively the nutrients are utilized. Science, Logic, Reality, are all concurrent with Hindu stuff. Im not identified as a “hindu”, but i definitely am deeply involved with their teachings.

      Give thanks for your food. Ask God for wisdom in what to eat. Eat relaxed. You are a temple.

    Fantastic Interview again, dear Lewis! Thank you BOTH for yourwonderful work, beautiful humans. My personal observation about how a "dark tree" is generated is that the mess/trauma starts when we, first, FEEL very STRONG emotions about an experience in life, second we LABEL the experience with a negative WORD/Term, third, we (are told to) feel GUILTY about it/or BLAME it, fourth, we JUDGE ourselves and the experience for it negative social connotation, so that we 5th, DECIDE to ACT on it with a COPING strategy by a)suppressing, b)hiding it or c)avoiding it. This is how the loop mess is constructed by the mind... My experience shows me that it helps us more to integrate our experiences and emotions ("all emotions are different aspects of love and part of this experince on earth") instead of judging them, because then, the loop/pattern/dark tree/shadow will not even start . When we are adults, we do this more unconsciously/automatically, but as a child, we still don´t know our range of all emotions, and the emotional energy overwhelms us when we feel fears, guilt, shame or excitements for the first time.
    I have had many times in my life similar thoughts, "why I am here then?,, it would not make a difference if I would not be here. I don´t want to be here, it feels so hard". I have been working a lot on it, and I think now I have overcomed it because I integrated/reframed it in a serving way for me. My reframe is that, more important than the question "why I am here?" is "HOW do I want to use this energy and awareness that I am for an incredible experience on earth?". Blessing for you all! XO!

    Thank you so much Lewis and Dr Leaf that was awesome. However, I must say if you have leaky gut or chemical sensitivity and your mind is being affected by something you just ate or breathed in that was toxic to your body then it's very hard to keep on top of your mind/thinking when under the influence of those toxins

    Excellent info and tools, ordered the book! Lewis you are such an excellent listener/interviewer, love your questions and the way you put things in your own words that enhances the viewers understanding. Caroline - your examples really help to get your concepts across. Thank you for all your research and tools to help us to get and stay healthy and whole. Love the energy and the way the two of you bring the best out in each other which gives the viewer an excellent visual on how we can all be enhancers of each other. Big THANK YOU! Please remember: some input is also needed. We have to put in some effort. We still may lose, but the more we endeavour at what we are inclined to do, and the more we are determined to carry on, the more likely we are to succeed.

    LOL, @Lewis Howes ears ago I was having such bad allergies but every time my husband left I got better, each time he came back, I was so sick again. I asked the doctor if I could be allergic to my husband, the doctor told me people can't be allergic to other people. I was told to try checking his cologne, or the foods he eats, other things associated to him but I couldn't find anything except him. I divorced him but he refuses to leave and I am so sick physically now, I'm not sure if I can ever get better, although each time he goes to visit his family in the middle east I do start feeling better. LOL it's good to know it's not my imagination after suffering with it for the last 30 years.

    Contradictory at points, beautifully you said no emotion to is negative, but then went on to 'process' negative emotions. Holding onto any! Feeling can be toxic! happy! can become manic!
    Feel whatever! comes up and let it go. Bee 🐝
