I wouldn’t mind to see how all 6 vocalists would rank because it would be hard to rank it. We know KRY from SuJu are legends in the Kpop industry. However, Chen, DO, and Baekhyun from EXO are amazing too.
It’s refreshing to see Seungkwan at number 1 for a change as I’ve seen many vocal coaches place him under DK since DK has a very strong chest voice and musical theatre style projection (as a musical theatre lover, he is my fav in seventeen) but It makes me very happy to see Boo at number 1 and getting the appreciation he deserves since he is so well rounded. I’m also happy to see Kihyun getting recognition and also fair critique on his singing.
I've seen DK getting a lot of shine over Seungkwan in recent times as well, and I feel exactly the same way. I totally agree with this ranking and all the commentary and reasoning behind it.
@@thezircadia It's only chase and melia tbh and I they just really enjoy DK's tone so there might be some bias there. haven't seen any other vocal teachers(different from vocal coaches cause teachers actually emphasize proper technique) react to seventeen. seungkwan is such a phenomenal vocalist. In 2016 caught my attention because of his 'pretty u' 4 consecutive high notes and then i watched every single cover/performance of him I could find. Over the years he has remained my favorite voice in this world. Even now, listening to him sing changes my entire mood and I am extremely thankful to him for that haha. I know this is a technical analysis but on top of being one of the best active vocalist right now I will forever admire his ability to express emotions with his voice. I am so happy to see him get the recognition he deserves
true, his voice isn't only amazing and he isn't simply good technically, he interprets the songs so well and fills them with so many emotions, his voice really moves me
NCT has amazing vocalists! I'm so glad taeil, doyoung, and haechan got noticed, they are truly amazing! Not just these three, there are more amazing vocalists in NCT. Stan NCT ppl!
You should do a second video having BTOB, EXO, Shinee and Super junior. That would show the best K-pop male vocalists, from technique as individuals and how they fit into a group.
Then again, maybe not. I'd like to see who would he choose between Jonghyun, Kyuhyun and Chen as number 1. Although I like Kyuhyun's voice, Jonghyun has a distinctive timbre that just sounds so beautiful. And then there's Chen's high notes. Being a multi stan is hard sometimes. Sheesh.
@@maramnaina6493 there is no way someone would chose jonghyun over kyuhyun (in a technical ranking)... i say this as a shawol since 2012, but i do feel like for obvious reasons people tend to minimize critiques about jonghyun's technique, but some of us know his technique decline a bit since 2013, after that his mid belts were inconsistent and more nasal, and his higher belts were a constant struggle, he also became much more stylistic. However i do feel like this creator does not always takes the latest material for the voclists he is analyzing, specially for people he is not familiar with.
Thanks for incluiding Kihyun. I feel like people overlook him most of the time but he's a great vocalist. As for Heesung and Taehyun, Heesung is my bias but yes they need to improve a lot but that's their company's fault. I feel like Hybe doesn't take the time to train their vocalists properly the minute they can sing decently, Hybe debuts them. I see these issue in Txt, Enhypen, New Jeans, Le Sserafim, Boys next door, & team. They're average vocalists at best.
It really frustrates me that hybe is not giving there groups proper training in vocal, is a company that seems to prioritize dancing, I think there is so much potencial in those groups
I knew as a matter of fact Seungmin, DK, and Seungkwan would be on this list..!! I was kinda surprised EXO wasn't here but when U said they needed their own video I totally agree.. I dont stan EXO but they are such a powerhouse of vocals.!
I'm so proud of number 1 and DK is just amazing too! His head voice is pretty amazing and the clip presented here is just his 1 percent. His musical theater gig is also an evidence of his stamina as a vocalist. Stan SEVENTEEN!
All I knew of Doyoung before this was that he was a fan of Infinite's Sunggyu (one of my biases), but wow he has such a lovely voice! His dynamics and the way he shapes his notes (without getting all pinchy when he is in his higher range) is gorgeous. So expressive and open.
Doyoung recently visited Lee Mujin's service where he sang covers, including Seulgi's 28 reasons. If you are interested to hear more from him in different styles, I think it's a good programme - th-cam.com/video/e9SuS-1U1GM/w-d-xo.html
The other fascinating thing, is a lot of the clips of Taeil & Seungkwan used are from their rookie days, meaning they've been that good since the beginning!
@@alpacafish1269i can think of at least 20 idols that have better technique than him, so i personally don't think of him as part of that elite group, as i said really good, but not one of the best
@@unvirllage so true. SNSD used to run laps while singing ITNW so they can build the endurance to perform it live. It isn't quite right, even a little brutal for the middle - high school kids they were at the time, but their debut stage showed results. I'm hoping they've developed more age-appropriate exercises for current trainees tho
Dk and Seungkwan yay✨️ Seungkwan caught my attention because I personally think his delivery of the song he sings is beautiful, be it fast or slow, a ballad or rock song, he's able to capture the emotions of it almost perfectly, good technique. And his voice has a smoothness to it that's just beautiful✨️ I recommend you watch his cover of the 'Beauty Inside OST'. That definitely sealed it for me. DK is often called a powerhouse and I agree. He boldly charges into his song lines and if you watch his performances with the other members, he always prepares himself most times so that they come off the right way and carry the energy of the song through.⚡️ Having these two on seventeen makes for some interesting stuff, I recommend you watch the Genius performance of 'Ready to love' and the acoustic version of 'All my love' to see for yourself. I'm learning a lot from your vocal analyses.✨️
I’m always here for taeil praise, his voice is so powerful and versatile it’s honestly ridiculous! I think this list is really fair tbh, I share the same personal fav with doyoung - I just love the breathy airy quality to his voice. I also personally regard haechan as one of my all time favourite vocalists, but I definitely get that he does stick to a set style in his singing. It’s really his tone and agility that I love about his voice, it adds so much flavour to every song!
Jongho is a a gem in the kpop industry. Ateez have a lot of difficult energetic songs and as well as choreos. He was only 18 years when they debuted with pirate king and treasure. He was already impressive since the start and maybe it's because u don't follow them but he's extremely skilled and the notes he is hitting in ateez songs live are always impressive and stable. As someone who saw them live i can say that not once did he not gave 100%. Jongho for his age has done more than amazing as a main vocalist so far and deserves alot more respect. He had the same vocal teacher as baekhyun btw and he said a few years ago that jongho was one of the top idols he was the most proud of teaching.
Yes Jongho is amazing and talented but I humbled bcz he said its HIS opinion and that he doesn't judge from range. Everyone he put above Jongo is 100% reasonable so yes, they're all gems fr
@@Exo-lCaratDeobiDiveFearnotMy it's not a matter of 3rd gen actually. Jongho should be above kihyun and DK as his F#4/G4s are better plus his lower register is better. his support is stronger too
I love that you explain about how Jongho actually managed to sing his high notes, because many people out there often said his belting technique is unhealthy and he just strain his voice. I also agree about the ranking. But I think it's a little unfair that you use pretty quite updated clips for the other 4th gen idols, but for Jongho the newest one was from 2021. And one of them even came from him recording for his group's debut song. Although I know that even with the most recent clips he would still be below Kihyun, but at least you'll find some of his flaws in refined [?] version.
@@DeeDeeDeeeeeno you're wrong. He is improving. You should listen to his newest cover of park hyoshin-wild flower. And ateez latest live performance like kcon. He was singing 4 octave of wonderland song perfectly. And during his 2 months hiatus, he was learning vocals again and again.
@@yuhis7913 if he could sing 4 octaves “perfectly” he would be considered one of the best vocalists of all time and there’s a reason he isn’t. He can sing abt one and a half to two octaves well before he gets airy/muffled or gets tight/tense/shouty.
@@DeeDeeDeeeee he did considered one of the best in his generation. What is wrong was when you said he didn't improve since those old clips. It proves that you didn't listen to his newers songs. His solo ost Gravity, A fairy tail of youth, wind and latest one is Everything. His vocal ability is indeed expand.
So happy to see Seungkwan here! And as no.1 !! I feel that a lot of times people tend to overlook how amazing his vocal skills actually are (maybe because most people don’t know much about singing so usually high notes = good singer, but there’s obviously so much more than that)
I wish you put more recent videos of Jongho singing, for example: his solo performance on Immortal Songs. Most of the clips you used here are literally from 3-4 years ago where he is still growing as a vocalist. He has so many covers and clips of him singing in lower range, which then solidifies the theory of him having a wide range.
thank u for your opinionss❤Jongho's vocals are undoubtedly more suitable for rock genre, but still most of his fans don't like when the company constantly pushes for high notes to prove his vocals, bec it's not necessary. He is a very good vocalist. And I have to say some of the videos you used are very old, Jongho was 17-18 years old back then naturally his vocals have matured dramatically
No reaction or anything, but I'd like to recommend listening to Pentagon. The two main vocals (Hui and Jinho) have incredible vocal tones and technics. They've both been acting in musicals and Jinho is even a vocal coach. So you might like them in solo videos especially.
I guess the "brutal" part of this ranking is because of where you placed Jongho 😅. His singing style reminds me a lot of Demi Lovato. Not necessarily the most technically correct, but very flashy with a lot of vocal moments designed to show off his range. I think he has the potential to become one of the best vocalists in KPop if he focused on other areas besides belting. As someone who loves big, belty high notes, he's still my bias
@@medusa8970 honestly I agree a bit. Sometimes I get the impression that this guy just doesn’t like loud, Belty singers so he labels them as “technically flawed”.
Jongho had ost and live vocal performances even a solo one in immortal song, but hey let's use as reference his debut material and kingdom high note. The sad part is seems most people here was waiting for it.
FINALLY!!! tbh i'm quite disappointed that Haechan is on the lower end of the ranking but i kinda understand it as i've noticed his "stylistic" choices and tension, when his cover of "good person" dropped i immediately noticed that he really doesn't stray away from his style even if the song clearly asks for it, as for tension i've noticed that from their tour videos, he's really tense, i've also noticed he strains his voice so much recently that being said he's still my favorite neo and i hope he gets better in the future. My favourite vocalists of this list are Doyoung and DK. Doyoung has such a beautiful rich tone, his voice is so elegant... Yes elegant is the right word for Doyoung. DK on the other hand has such a powerful voice, i believe he's "earth" if we're talking about your voice elements video, DK is definitely earth, i especially love his part in "hot" which you've included in this video. Thank you for making this video and i hope you dive more into male kpop idols.... Maybe one day we'll get to see "male lead vocalists ranking" On the mention of NCT DREAM tour, have you guys noticed how beautiful Chenle's voice is?! I truly believe he sounds better live more than CD, what do you think?
I think Haechan has been straining alot lately because of his hectic schedule. The vocal chords need to rest. Yet when he isn't singing in concerts, he's in the studio recording for Dream, NCT, and 127's upcoming comebacks that's being release soon.
@@lilyrose0116 yes i believe that too, i've also noticed that Renjun and Chenle have improved a lot recently unlike Haechan who i don't wanna say got worse but he's definitely not in his best era and i do believe it's because of the hectic schedule like he's been rushed to hospital early this year and for some time he looked physically unwell so it's no surprise that his vocals got affected even Mark recently was ill and lost his voice for a bit. SM really needs to figure Mark and Haechan schedules out
@@confused7970 When I saw Dream back in April, he sounded great live. And he's definitely improved when you listen to the recent albums. He's only struggling with the live stages since he isn't resting. He's also lost alot of weight, I believe he said he was around 130lbs atthe beginning of the year. Even Mark, who's mainly a rapper, lost his voice after their Encore concert & was rushed to the hospital. So I can't even imagine how stressed Haechan's vocal chords are
i LIVE for the Seungkwan appreciation. Boo's and Dk's vocals are so beautiful to me, their chest voices are so free, powerful and stable, which is rare in kpop, it makes it feel like they are singing from their hearts. DY and Taeil are also great but I'm personally not a big fan of their voices (which is subjective)
Thanks for the video. Thanks for including KIHYUN. One of the best vocalists of KPOP. He makes you "feel" when he sings. I heard HUG ME, and I understand Korean language a little. At the end of the song I was crying.
Yes, he improved much. His mix is sound more better than his previous year. He sound powerful than having weak sound. His support is consistent to be sound fuller and rounded. As of his current status, he is now above to Taeil, because Taeil's technique is not that consistent today.
@@MacmaxxVoczz He really seems like he worked hard to develop with abilities to its full potential and it shows, He also seems way more confident and stable, his range seems to keep evolving. I don't think he is at Taeil level yet though but Taeil doesn't show off his abilities as much.
@@MacmaxxVoczz I don't think he surpassed Taeil yet. The gap between them is definitely getting closer tho, Taeil is now only a tiny bit better than him
@@sejeongpretty7452 Doyoung is a little above for sure to Taeil this time. Taeil's prime is losing. His quality of G#4 is not that best as before, sometimes strained or lighter. On the other side, Doyoung's G#4 mostly consistent to be so sound full than before. Taeil is ↑B- while Doyoung is ↓B.
jongho from ateez is definitely my favorite vocalist of all time, it’s unfortunate a lot of the clips of him here are from their debut era. he’s come a long way.
So, he went off of suggestions from a community post. If those names weren’t mentioned, then they weren’t included. Plus, I suspect this won’t be his only video on male kpop vocalists. He said he’s still getting familiar with groups

Aah I love boo and dk appreciation because even among carats I don't see most people hyping up our amazing main vocalists. Like they don't need to be thee No1 or something but it is undeniable that they're soo damn good yall. Like I was genuinely shook when I checked out seventeen for the first time because the vocal this group has is so frickin good that I wonder why isn't there much discourse surrounding it compared to their dancing skills..

Giggled out loud when I read your description of Doyoung going through his 11th divorce 😄 I love his vocal colour and the emotions he puts into his singing 💚
I am so happy to see Seungmo in this list, regardless of the ranking whether you put him in the bottom or wheresoever I would still be so happy- Seungmin really deserves to be recognized because he has been continuously working so hard to improve his vocals, going to voice lessons on a regular basis just because he wanted to sing better.😭 I know there are still great singers and most of them are listed here and they deserved so much recognition as well, but please do know that whatever you point out that Seungmin lacks he knows all of those for sure and is working on it. And I can't wait to see the vocalist he'll become years from now. Thank you very much for this video, and to all fandoms here- let's keep on supporting each of our loved artists and vocalists. We may agree or not agree with this list but for sure our favorites are always no. 1 in our hearts, and that's what matters most.💓 #LoveSTAY
Thank you for ranking NCT’s vocalists so well! Completely agreed with rankings and your opinions on their strengths and weaknesses. They are some of my favourite vocalists in K-POP at this moment. And of course, Seungkwan is the king of this list! One seriously talented artist! And one of my biases in SVT(can’t choose one).
Loved this video. Nicely ranked! Coming from an Nctzen who is also a musician and Vocal major! I can't wait for the EXO video, I also would like to see you do a video on SM groups in general.
loved the video I also don’t know much about boy groups so that was informative as well ! (Seungkwan and kihyun) are my favorite here, they caught my attention the most… seungkwan emotions and delivery is outstanding… kihyun singing style is my fave, he knows his limits and his tone is perfect… doyoung when he sings in chesty mix is also amazing I hope he use it more than heady in the future
Obviously Seungkwan's technique is extraordinary, but what makes him so amazing in my opinion is the emotions that he conveys when he sings. I think it was lee mujin (apologies if I'm misremembering) who said that he has a voice that makes you stop and listen to him and I really think that is the perfect way to put it
Not surprised by SM artists getting the higher ranks, their vocal training is insane. I do agreed with everything but I would be lying if I say that I wasn't a little bite by the JongHo part. I don't think I would've put him above Kihyun but I do think that his live singing while performing is really impressive since Ateez is a VERY HEAVY performance group.
YEs Seungkwan, just beautiful. I live for seungkwan's singing. I just love it so much. I love Dk's singing too. Thank you. I get so happy when I see people recognise that they are really great singers 😭😭😭😭😭.
I completely agree with the ranking of this list. I’m literally a fan of everyone here with Seventeen being my ults. So proud of Seungkwan and DK! They are just as amazing live and I had the pleasure of hearing them while they were on tour.
You should have used recent clips for Jongho, he's incredible and every single comeback he always manages to keep getting even better than what he already is❤
I love your ranking 😊 For Jongho you took so old singing videos from him he has so much improved since then 😁 and as you I am not impressed by the high notes but when I hear him nowadays I can say that he improved a lot. You can watch his most recent immortal songs performance.
@@dearinsaniiitytbf, the videos he showed of other vocalists (including seventeen and nct) were also old. So he’d probably have to update the entire video
Seventeen over-all, are all rounder. Their Vocal Unit is one of the strongest vocal. But SEUNGKWAN and DK are definitely one of the top Vocalist in the kindustry
I’m honestly proud of seungmin and how he got himself vocal lessons to take up the big role of main vocalist after their strongest vocalist who was a STRONGG vocalist left. He took the role of the main vocalist and is doing great❤❤❤
Kpop is overflowing with talented people who then spend years honing their skills, it's hard to narrow down to a handful. I hope you can one day give your opinion on k-bands, such great vocals there too! Day6, FT Island, N. Flying, the Rose etc. For BG vocals I'm awed by Pentagon, love the tones in SF9 and ONF. Unpopular opinion: Jongho gets yell-y and the tension in his voice is evident as you said. Ateez's music is by far my favorite in all of kpop, but I don't kid myself, they're very ambitious in Jongho's role in their music. I feel like they almost require him to be operatic sometimes.
i totally agree that the producers don’t use his voice in the way that they should. not only are his lines literally only high notes but also they don’t seem to understand his voice. it’s very powerful but for it to sound the best it can it must be used right. if you look at his solo content where he sings ballads (aka songs that have been made by those kinds of singers for those singers) you can hear the full extent of just how impressive his voice is.
@Maria-uv9pd Yesss! Love the vocals of Onewe, and just their music overall, it is so so beautiful. It literally "weve-s" itself into celestial pictures in my mind, so moving.
Thank you for giving Boo Seungkwan the respect he deserves, I am so happy and proud to be a Seungkwan bias - and let me just say - also a Shon Seungwan bias. My main vocalists
great video! well reasoned! as a fan, i was happy to see doyoung and taeil getting the appreciation they deserve, but damn... i have to agree that seungkwan is good. I already knew i liked his voice, but i didn't know he could sing like that!
Seungkwan has the voice that will go beyond his time as an idol. Whatever he chooses to do with it. I could see him being a main stay into his old age ❤
I respect your opinion. But since I watched Jongho at their last Immortal Songs episode (Highway in the gale) or at LeeMujin Service I think your clips of him are a little bit outdated 😂 There are great vocalists in kpop like EXO and BtoB, who can touch your soul. But I can only recommend to watch Jongho's latest performance at Immortal Songs with ATEEZ (Highway in the gale) and then come here again. This was epic ❤ When he sings great singers are enthused. So proud of him 😊
The choice of clips were probably on purpose. Remember, he is a content creator and he needs views; what better way to get them than give haters what they want. He is not a boy group fan so it's no skin off his nose to semi trash a vocalist who is both revered and reviled evenly within kpop fandoms. Bouncy coming out 2 days before he dropped this is very convenient too. Atiny should understand that this is this guy's opinion and he will say what will get the most hits and then back it up with an old clip. Just let it go.
what people dont know is that technique takes a lot of time and discipline and Seunkgkwan put so much effort in it for two years straight (in the middle of his budy schedule) to get where he is. Hopefully his new coach in HYBE won't destroy his effort!! I've already heard some troubles he ddnt had before! :(
Seungkwan is finally getting the acknowledgment he deserves!🥹🧡Elated to see DK in the top 5 as well.😍I mean, these two are the best pair of vocalists (all-rounders really) any group could wish for. Glad that both are in Seventeen!❤
I was ready to fight you when DK was at number 4. But Doyoung and Taeil are also wonderful incredible vocalists. So I’m not mad at you 😂 And of course since you hadn’t mentioned Seungkwan at that point I knew he’d be at number one haha. And thank you for the Kihyun appreciation! 🥲💞💞💞

As a stay I was quite surprised Seungmin was ranked at #7 and I am very satisfied with his ranking. I truly thought he was going to rank last or second to last. I was also surprised to see Haechan rank lower than Seungmin. Sorry Seungmin I should have had more faith in you 😭
Seungmin isn't the strongest vocalist but he isn't as bad as people make him out to be. He's also someone whose been improving quite consistently throughout his career. It's sad the narrative surrounding him has even affected his own fans' perception (I don't think I see stays call seungmin the group's main vocalist, even though the other members call him that quite often lol) but I can understand why you felt this way 😭 Maybe its because he did not debut as the original main vocalist of stray kids people think this about him
He doesn't have a really wide vocal range like some other vocalists in this ranking but I think he sounds great on his comfort zone, just as he said on the video. What makes Seungmin's voice so special to me is the way he can convey emotions and feelings with it!
too bad GOT7 Youngjae, JB & Jinyoung haven’t really been included in these lists lately. they would absolutely still slay everyone and top every list 💚 their talent is talenting 👏🏾👏🏾

Oh yeah these are the real powerhouse vocal groups in Kpop. A video consisting of only these 4 groups' vocalists would be great.
We all know who would get the 1 spot though. 0 points for who would be that person. 😂😂
With tvxq Changmin
Thanks for incluiding Kihyun. I feel like people overlook him most of the time but he's a great vocalist. As for Heesung and Taehyun, Heesung is my bias but yes they need to improve a lot but that's their company's fault. I feel like Hybe doesn't take the time to train their vocalists properly the minute they can sing decently, Hybe debuts them. I see these issue in Txt, Enhypen, New Jeans, Le Sserafim, Boys next door, & team. They're average vocalists at best.
you're right. (yunjin of le sserafim is more well trained just because she already had vocal training when she became a trainee.)
@@camilathee exactly I wish Hybe would take time to invest in their idols instead of rushing them into debuting.
It really frustrates me that hybe is not giving there groups proper training in vocal, is a company that seems to prioritize dancing, I think there is so much potencial in those groups

He said they’re too 3 in his new video on exo with Chen>Baek=Kyungsoo.

Seungkwan caught my attention because I personally think his delivery of the song he sings is beautiful, be it fast or slow, a ballad or rock song, he's able to capture the emotions of it almost perfectly, good technique. And his voice has a smoothness to it that's just beautiful✨️ I recommend you watch his cover of the 'Beauty Inside OST'. That definitely sealed it for me.
DK is often called a powerhouse and I agree. He boldly charges into his song lines and if you watch his performances with the other members, he always prepares himself most times so that they come off the right way and carry the energy of the song through.⚡️
Having these two on seventeen makes for some interesting stuff, I recommend you watch the Genius performance of 'Ready to love' and the acoustic version of 'All my love' to see for yourself.
I'm learning a lot from your vocal analyses.✨️
Kihyun's vocal range is cruelly underrated.
SEUNGKWAN PRAISES!!! I clapped, I cheered, I got up out of my seat even
Great ranking! I love SM’s male vocalists, NCT (including WayV), Shinee and Exo have so many great songs.

@@carmosilva3589FR i’m speechless😭
Also, the rest of ATEEZ have the lower registers covered.
Yes Jongho is amazing and talented but I humbled bcz he said its HIS opinion and that he doesn't judge from range. Everyone he put above Jongo is 100% reasonable so yes, they're all gems fr
Bruh he was up against 3rd gen what did you expect? 3rd gen vocalists are good whether you like to admit it or not.
@@Exo-lCaratDeobiDiveFearnotMy it's not a matter of 3rd gen actually. Jongho should be above kihyun and DK as his F#4/G4s are better plus his lower register is better. his support is stronger too
@@triplej8666absolutely not
Thanku soooo much for asking Seungkwan, Kihyun ans Taeil. People often forgets about these talents!🫶
Jongho hasn’t improved since these clips tho, if anything he’s suffered a slight regression due to him singing in the fifth octave so often.
Tbf, he wasn’t the only one who he used older clips for. Most of Seungkwan’s are probably older than Jongho’s if I’m correct
I feel that a lot of times people tend to overlook how amazing his vocal skills actually are (maybe because most people don’t know much about singing so usually high notes = good singer, but there’s obviously so much more than that)
I really love Seungmin's voice, he has worked so hard and improved a lot since debut. Very proud of him ♡
Yes my skz bias
I wish you put more recent videos of Jongho singing, for example: his solo performance on Immortal Songs. Most of the clips you used here are literally from 3-4 years ago where he is still growing as a vocalist. He has so many covers and clips of him singing in lower range, which then solidifies the theory of him having a wide range.
Yes and especially now. He's done OSTs etc.
I would love an updated review on this topic
thank u for your opinionss❤Jongho's vocals are undoubtedly more suitable for rock genre, but still most of his fans don't like when the company constantly pushes for high notes to prove his vocals, bec it's not necessary. He is a very good vocalist. And I have to say some of the videos you used are very old, Jongho was 17-18 years old back then naturally his vocals have matured dramatically

Loved it! I agree with Seungkwan being number 1, his belts are so rounded and full.
He is actually technical very correct. I'll invite you to watch actual vocal coaches talk about his technique.
that his approach is really correct is an exaggeration but it is certainly not bad
@@David-tr4jlehhh I wouldn’t say he has good belting technique, issues are definitely there and very present
Great video, Kihyun & Doyoung are two of my personal favorite male vocalists in kpop.
FINALLY!!! tbh i'm quite disappointed that Haechan is on the lower end of the ranking but i kinda understand it as i've noticed his "stylistic" choices and tension, when his cover of "good person" dropped i immediately noticed that he really doesn't stray away from his style even if the song clearly asks for it, as for tension i've noticed that from their tour videos, he's really tense, i've also noticed he strains his voice so much recently that being said he's still my favorite neo and i hope he gets better in the future.
Maybe one day we'll get to see "male lead vocalists ranking"
On the mention of NCT DREAM tour, have you guys noticed how beautiful Chenle's voice is?!

Yes, he improved much. His mix is sound more better than his previous year. He sound powerful than having weak sound. His support is consistent to be sound fuller and rounded. As of his current status, he is now above to Taeil, because Taeil's technique is not that consistent today.

I would add cnblue to the list of bands as well! Love yonghwa's voice and he has only gotten better through the years.

Seungkwan is finally getting the acknowledgment he deserves!🥹🧡Elated to see DK in the top 5 as well.😍I mean, these two are the best pair of vocalists (all-rounders really) any group could wish for. Glad that both are in Seventeen!❤
You should definitely check out Hui and Jinho from Pentagon they both have wonderful voices. I would love to hear your thoughts on their vocals.
YES PLEASEE
I was ready to fight you when DK was at number 4. But Doyoung and Taeil are also wonderful incredible vocalists. So I’m not mad at you 😂 And of course since you hadn’t mentioned Seungkwan at that point I knew he’d be at number one haha. And thank you for the Kihyun appreciation! 🥲💞💞💞
I'm proud of my boo! I'll never get tired of hearing people praise DK and Seungkwan's vocals
No Exo bcs they're in another universe for their vocals.
Jongho❤ he may not be the best but he’s more than good enough for me
And he continuously improving just like he improved that kingdom highnote
I really liked the vid finally some honestly, all tge idols mentioned are good .
My favs are DK and SEUNGKWAN i would never shut up abt their vocals thank u for praising them❤️
As a stay I was quite surprised Seungmin was ranked at #7 and I am very satisfied with his ranking. I truly thought he was going to rank last or second to last. I was also surprised to see Haechan rank lower than Seungmin. Sorry Seungmin I should have had more faith in you 😭
He improved so much over the years and keeps on improving! A daily reminder that hard job does pay off
Seungmin isn't the strongest vocalist but he isn't as bad as people make him out to be. He's also someone whose been improving quite consistently throughout his career. It's sad the narrative surrounding him has even affected his own fans' perception (I don't think I see stays call seungmin the group's main vocalist, even though the other members call him that quite often lol) but I can understand why you felt this way 😭 Maybe its because he did not debut as the original main vocalist of stray kids people think this about him
@@AVA-bj7cy i never heard anyone talk bad about seungmins vocals, their great
The thing is he is really stable but his range just lacks a little.
He doesn't have a really wide vocal range like some other vocalists in this ranking but I think he sounds great on his comfort zone, just as he said on the video. What makes Seungmin's voice so special to me is the way he can convey emotions and feelings with it!
too bad GOT7 Youngjae, JB & Jinyoung haven’t really been included in these lists lately. they would absolutely still slay everyone and top every list 💚 their talent is talenting 👏🏾👏🏾
this is the most fairest vocal ranking i have ever watched because some rankings were just focusing on only one song then starts ranking who’s the most powerful and least among them… btw Seungkwan and Dk singing together is my favorite thing to listen too their voices and technique really fits together perfectly
