- finally back with another seventeen vid ?!? i just threw together the clips of dk vocals i have amassed from the past couple years and voila - a new video for my favorite kpop boy

Dk who had IU's jaw dropped when he sang, got appreciated by soo many vocal teachers for hearing someone who is so connected to his chest voice for the first time. I fear dk you are too good of a singer

DK's voice is the first k-pop male idol's voice i fall in love with because it's so clear and strong, a tone different from others I've heard, it's also versatile and I love how it pierces through my ears when I listen to him sing (in a good way) and also listening to his singing feels like he presents his voice as it is,like not trying to perfect his vocals but singing the way his voice naturally is
Omg exactly!! I've been into kpop for not that long (almost a year) and I've heard a lot of different groups and even though I really appreciate each and every one I listened to, I never seemed to find THE perfect voice for me and luckily I found it when I got into Seventeen with DK and he's my favorite singer of all kpop and one of my favorites in pop in general 😵💫

Its crazy how DK isn’t even considered one of the top vocals of 3rd gen.
But actually he is mostly considered on the same as baekhyun and do/ kyungsoo
Actually i also wandered the same but then i saw a video in which someone said that chen has a bit higher range but all the other three ( baekhyun,dk, kyungsoo) have similar ranges and tones
But i think he is still not praised enough for his talent

No he is, it's because mostly it's list of main vocalist and since seungkwan is a little better(like very small gap) so he tends to be in the list, bot they're both amazing and it's really impressive 😭😭❤️❤️

Dk's voice in the opening of "Same Dream, Same Mind, Same Night" is just another level
When I heard DK sing for the first time, my jaw dropped. I found going seventeen and then listened to their killing voice, and I was not expecting one of the funniest members to also have such an amazing voice. I had heard seungkwan before, but dang DK was amazing. Immediately started falling in love with all of their music. Really all of the members are soooooo talented, I didn't expect a group who also spends so much time making variety content and who is known as the most synchronized kpop group to also somehow have found time for so much vocal training.

@@thesun9818 i agree. Kidult was fire. I think sooner or later they will appreciated sookmin vocal. Nowadays i am into mingyus voice most specifically in shadow. All of the hiphop team vocal was perfect.

@@deerlalu I am from the United States and btw, where are you from? I went to their concert in 8/25 and it was amazing.
I remember AKMU Suhyun saying that she wants to be a singer to whom singing comes naturally as if like she is talking. And whenever I look at DK I can feel it. He has become so natural with music, and singing has become natural for him. The love for music is evident in him, even a veteran ballad Korean singer admired and complimented him by saying that he could see that DK loves singing.
And the thing you mentioned at the end of video about him crying during pre-debut days. I also remember vividly that in 17 Project, when sunbaes or people who were judging SVT praised Seungkwan for his vocals although DK was the official main vocalist then. And, both DK and Seungkwan felt bad; DK for him not able to prove himself as main vocalist for group and Seungkwan for DK not being praised as hyung and as main vocalist. Seriously, they already won my hearts then.
Coming from an non carat (I do know of svt they're one of the best bg's of this generation no doubt) , I heard DK's part in HOT and wow was I impressed , his part got my attention the most so I had to know who he was . Then I watched him in killing voice , man CAN SING. definitely one of the best kpop voices out there . The way he changes notes and how the high notes sound pleasing to the ear (not like screaming at all) is so impressive. I really like this guy I became his fan !!

I've been listening to lots of KPop vocals and gotta admit that DK's voice is among the most stable voices that I've heard, and I enjoy his voice the best. Big voices like Chen and Changmin, also my favorites, are a bit too sharp. DK, despite his super wide range, has a warmer and softer quality. Very good and smooth transition across registers, stable breathing support in all situations even when he's dancing, and the diversed emotions that he can convey -- all convince me that he's the best voice in Kpop industry. I also love DO's voice, but it's another story.

Cannot agree more! DK's voice is powerful and stable hitting those wide range notes easily while performing live, yet very sweet, soft and super delicate!
I usually have a hard time listening to Kpop's overused high notes as some vocalists sound a bit jarring (both bg+gg). DK's vocal is one of the few that's very soothing and easy to listen to for me.

I’ve been a kpop fan since 2009 and I can wholeheartedly say that DK’s voice is my favorite. The way he sings is so effortless and so versatile. The high notes are so pleasant, NOT PAINFUL AT ALL. It can make you think that some are just born with it.
Yeah he does make it seem so effortless and easy. But he does work hard to get this level of vocals today. During pre-debut he cried so hard and was always insecure with his voice. He thought he didn't stand out enough. Maybe he did already have the talents but over time he gained more confidence and finally managed to land a spot in a prestigious musical as a lead 😭
DK's singing voice is incredibly clear and beautiful. I'm obsessed. 🥺 He's already handsome and attractive, but he radiates a different aura whenever he's singing, he's a 100000000000x more attractive.

and common so that's why you found plenty of main vocals that they have their voice cracks. normally if that's not in their range, the note.

I’m not a Carat but I’ve been watching a lot of SVT’s performances recently and I’m really, really impressed by DK’s voice. Probably one of the best male vocalist in Kpop I’ve ever witnessed.

Honestly, at this point, I'm not even surprised at people praising DK and the entirety of Seventeen. They deserve the recognition and praises since they worked so hard to the point of perfecting their voices and moves.
After going to a Be The Sun concert DK became my bias wrecker. His live vocals (and visuals) are no joke, and he's honestly just super considerate and sweet, everyone in the arena was going 'Awwww' during his intro on stage. His voice is unbelievable.
I have been a Carat for a long time now but I am still sometimes amazed when I realize how we are so blessed to have both Seungkwan AND Dk in the same group. Literally one of the best main vocals in 3rd gen kpop.

I feel like we as Carats don’t flex our vocalists enough. I mean this video describes perfectly how much Dk improved since debut, his vocal abilities are crazy! He has such a clear and soft, yet powerful voice, and don’t even get me started on the fact that he looks so happy when he’s singing.. It’s so sad to see him as such an underrated vocalist ㅠㅠ ( I found this video again and apparently my comment from last year is gone now so I recomented😭)

my friend introduce me to seventeen on ft yesterday and ever since then i've been listening to them and when i saw and heard dk voice UGH omg i just fell in love.
i became a carat few months ago and i remember falling in love with dk’s voice from the very first second i heard his vocals, so delicate yet so strong not to mention his amazing high notes and ad-libs that literally give life to the song (and to me on the way) he might not be underrated but for sure underappreciated in the kpop vocal industry

I just became DK's fan this 2023 because of Killing voice. I really loved watching KV and I came across seventeen's video. I instantly fell inlove with his voice. It was so clear and rich and he has this charismatic look when he sing. And after binge watching videos of DK, I became hooked with Seventeen also and now I've became one of their fan. Hahahaha!

PERFECT, and I mean PERFECT commentary! As a classically trained vocalist DK has been on of my favorite voices of all time in K-pop. No matter my mood his voice can fit it so well with absolute clarity and depth in the same stroke. Doesn’t hurt anybody that he looks like that too! 🤣😍

Great video!!!! I am a new fan to seventeen, (3 months). I first get to know them through his latest song SUPER, and i started watching them for the dancing until i heard as a 3rd song HOT and i said to myself who the hell sing this (dk lines at the begining) 'cause it's freaking amazing!!! i fell in love immediately with his voice! Then i realised along the way they all sing great, especially dk, seungkwan and woozi. But dk's voice gets me so much in every single song and every single ad lib he does. He has a huge variety of tone, although my favourite tone are the ones like in home or thanks. when he sings, it gets under my skin and give me chills every single time!!! And he also seem so passionate about singing and always with a smlie. Such a lovely kid!!! (yes kid, i am much older than him) i hope we can continue hearing his voice for many many more years!

Before becoming a carat, I was just a random listener to kpop since my school days. But DK was the first who caught my attention first with his visual and then his voice and humour sense. However, I feel carats are sleeping on him as his fancams have very less views. Also, the big smile that he put on while hitting high notes make me admire him even more. We don't deserve him.

If you watch any of SVT content you just wouldn't think this guy sings like this. I only recently got into Seventeen and I was shocked, you really don't hear enough appreciation for DKs voice in the industry. For me DK and Onew are the most amazing vocalist in Kpop.
