Nice. I'm currently doing a frame off restoration on a 71 Monte Carlo SS454.

@@SquirminHermanthe1eyedGerman we would all be a lot richer :) You see the 60's/70s/80s scrap yards where they are just tossing in the grinder...

My first car was a forest green’71 Chevelle in 1991. This takes me back.

yeah the late 60-70's videos have their own "vibes"... I've got some 80s laserdiscs ones I will put soon. I'm sure they will be different also. I am not sure they even put comparison and intro vids out other than general releases and those are on youtube.

112" wheelbase for Chevelle coupes, 116" for Monte Carlos and 4-door Chevelles. The extra 4" was allocated differently - rear seat space on Chevelle sedans and wagons (and cargo box length on El Caminos), hood length on Monte Carlos. Line up an MC and a 4dr side by side and you'll see the cowl/windshield and steering wheel are 4" further back on the Monte. At one point Chevrolet considered a 4-door Monte Carlo but it would've needed a completely different frame, and been as long as an Impala with the interior space of a Chevelle which would've been a tough sell to the people who bought 4-door cars in 1970.

With gps you don’t need a map pocket. Body by Fisher is no more.

true but you can stuff all kinds of stuff in that pocket... a melted hersey bar... a old receipt.. it comes in handy

The side terminal battery is a bad thing. Why would anyone want that in their car.?

eh when you dont want to ground out your battery on your hood it is!

Longer wheel base... so nothing was interchangeable. Thusly different

Chevelle is now the Malibu or maybe they are discontinued.

yeah Malibu... they have the Camaro and to rebadge the current Malibu to a Chevelle would be HERESY! :)
