That 45 liter pack (McCore 45?) looks really promising. My wife is going to hate me when that shows up at the house this spring/summer. I'm just hoping they take the same design elements, beef up the suspension even more, and come out with large 60/65 and 80 liter sizes. I'll buy a big one too, for sure.
Definitely interested in that 45L bag. Just bought a 36L Osprey pack for one nighters/get home bag. If the vanquest bag is close to being as comfortable as my Osprey bag then it could be the ultimate survival/tac/camping bag. Looking forward to the inevitable review Chris! Get on it!
Awesome looking packs!! I'm so happy they're using 500D now, 1,000D was overkill for my needs and too stiff. I like the 45L for hiking and camping and the 26L looks like a great edc pack. The adaptability, of the 26L, from backpack to sling pack is an awesome idea. Thanks Chris
Dana Gleason has been doing "load bearing" packs, with adjustable height straps for years...they aren't "Tac-Ti-COOL", but they do everything needed and everything these packs do... My first Dana Designs pack is from the early 90's and still going strong to this day and I suspect my Mystery Ranch packs will be with me 20years from now (and probably my Dana Designs as well at 40yo)
Thanks for the video mate! I was hoping in some larger backpacks form guys like Vanquest. I own the Javelin 3.0 and it is a hell of a slingpack! Im gonna buy the Trident 31 and this 45 liter is really interesting.
Nucky Thompson Thanks for hour inquiry. These larger packs are more designed for hook & Loop attachments, and won’t come with dividers because the widths / thickness of the bags are all different throughout. If you need padded organizations, you will have to use our Drop-In organizer or some other 3rd party organizers for now. I hope this helps. Kind regards. James @ Vanquest R&D
Thanks Chris, Excellent information and Presentation. I really like what they've done with the Packs-looks like they took to heart what a lot of customers have been saying and included it with the design and upgrades. Any idea where the best place to purchase would be?
Robert StrongBear Thank you for your support Robert. Most of these bags will be available in May 2018 (except for the SKYCAP-46, ETA late March 2018). You can go to Vanquest.com and find a dealer near you, or you can send us an email to be invited to the product launch special. We usually offer pre-order discount 10 days before the shipping date. I hope this helps, and again, thank you for your support. James @ Vanquest R&D
Bretton Luckow It is the MARKHOR-45 backpack. Eta May 2018. You can find more product info here: bit.ly/2nbPMhO I hope this helps. Thank you for your support! James @ Vanquest R&D
hey chris thanks for the vids. Question- i havent seen one shot show video from any YT’ber about Cold Steel. Were they there this year? I know they have new stuff
They didn't really go over all tech specs but if they made these lighter then Eberlestock or tenzing, or other cordura packs. I'm sold. I had using cordura cuz the weight is ridiculous to hike in. My osprey is incredibly durable, great warranty, and light. If osprey make an awesome cordura pack, I would be more interested in that. But I still love vanquest, and hope to get a new edc low key pack this year from them
Hi William Randall We now use mostly 500-D CORDURA throughout the bags, and only 1000-D on high-wear areas. Weight-saving is definitely there: MARKHOR-45 (45-liter) comes in just under 6 lb with an internal frame + adjustable torso-length harness. IBEX-35 (35-liter) comes in just under 5 lb with an internal frame + adjustable torso-length harness. James @ Vanquest R&D
Vanquest Gear I'm definitely interested in how these compare as a pack for my car or just camping. Ive been super happy with my small organizers from vanquest and use them every day. As a hunting pack I definitely want to try it on, and check it out. I hiked a few trails with my osprey exos which is ridiculously light weight but durability is suffered very minimally. Vanquest is a great brand, I'm hoping the newer trident 31 fits me perfectly for an edc backpack
William Randall Hey William, we really appreciate your support. We will keep focusing on our R&D, and make better abs better gear for you. All of our gear come with 100-day return, and as long as you keep it in clean and resealable condition, we will give you a full refund (minus shipping). Again, thank you for your support! James @ Vanquest R&D
Nice to see the updates. However, they appear to have appearance of a maxpedition and the functionality of an Eberlestock from 5 years ago. I wish they thought more about improving Maxpedition-Eberlestock tactical packs instead of just emulating those brands.
+trycity Vanquest is hardly emulating Maxpedition. The quality is much better. Vanquest was started by founding Maxped people and is more of what Maxped a USED to be.
I'll attest to that. The quality is way better than Maxpedition, and far more innovative and thought out. And, although I love my Eberlestock bags (I have two), one, they are super heavy (8lb is pretty typical), and two, you wouldn't catch me using it in an urban setting outside of an emergency.
b brady The SKYCAP-46 Duffel Backpack will come around March 2018, and the rest (MARKHOR-46, IBEX-35/26, KATARA-16, and FTIMs) will come in May 2018. Hope this helps. Alex @ Vanquest Team
will we be able to buy the falconer 30 or ibex 35 with all high vis orange or all grey interior ? i have trident gen 2 with all orange and its great . i hate the 2 different colors on the inside its why i didnt buy the new falconer .not sure why it bugs me it just does . seems un finished or something .
Pack looks great but the gun mount is a no go how the hell do you sit with out taking of your pack . Rifle butt needs to be up at waist level to make it usable .
Mike Boone from what ive seen this is industry standard. Eberlestock has drop down pouches below the waist for gun carrying. But their was a backpack that had an oversized side pouch with aide straps that you could put the stock of the gun in, but it would be slightly top heavy. Its all the same old way of doing things.
Mike Boone you don't have to carry the rifle that low. It's just an option. You could just strap it to the vertical molle behind the beaver tail and carry it like you're describing.
Great news but I'm to damn old to change I might crack at 74, but I'll still be out there .It's tuff out here in southern California to find dear almost need to go the zoo .
Ooo coooolll you can add extra shit you have to buy separate for more money than it’s worth. In my opinion, which I’m entitled to, the ibex pack is absolute garbage.
PREPAREDMIND101 I bought the ibex and sold it two weeks later. I thought with all the free space on the inside it would be great for extra gear. But without adding additional pockets it was more of a pain in the ass.
Hi Josh, we are located in Anaheim, CA, and we do our product development in-house as well. Although we use many US brand name parts (ITW, Duraflex, CORDURA, MultiCam, etc), and some small accessories are made in USA, our bags and packs are assembled overseas (Taiwan & Vietnam). Hope this helps. Alex @ Vanquest Team
As a SAR member in an economically-depressed rural county I don't really care about the color. My current pack is black and it has never been a problem, especially with the hi-viz vests and jackets we wear. What I would love to see is a SAR discount for an awesome pack like that!
Between the convertible sling pack backpack design and the beavertail I hope Vanquest is paying royalties to MilSpecMonkey. He's had those designs out for years. Great pricing and made in the USA by Tactical Tailor. Definitley superior to Vanquest.
+ava9oh1282000 How? Lol. That's that "fanboy legal system" that means "I was reminded of something, therefore based on my non-understanding of design law, I assume somebody actually has a case because I'm a fan of that somebody". No. Sorry. Doesn't work like that.
ava9oh1282000 and Chris, thank you for your feedback; we really appreciate it. We’re all passionate about our favorite brands, and sometimes our feelings are hurt seeing a familiar design improved by someone else; we got it. A few years back, some used to say “Vanquest ripped off Maxpedition” without knowing that we cofounded that other company in 2003. Besides quality, value, and customer service, one other thing that Vanquest is good at is improving on existing designs and implementing designed suggested by our customers. We all stand on the shoulders of other creators who came before us, and like most of us, you don’t grow all the foods you eat, nor build the cars you drive. It’s a cliche quoting Pablo Picasso or Steve Jobs saying “Good artists copy; great artists steal”, or “We have always been shameless about stealing great ideas”. However, the Vanquest Team is positively unapologetic when it comes to improving existing designs, and offer greater value/quality to our users. We are confident that none of Vanquest’s 2018 designs infringe any design/utility patent(s), and anyone is free to contact us at info@vanquest.com. Your feedback is what pushes us forward. Cheers, James @ Vanquest R&D
@PREPAREDMIND101 Thank you for stopping by Chris; we look forward to seeing you soon. -Alex@Vanquest Team
I really like the last pack. I have been using osprey for light weight and load bearing. Osprey does not have molle webbing though.
That 45 liter pack (McCore 45?) looks really promising. My wife is going to hate me when that shows up at the house this spring/summer. Really like that 45L. Thanks for the video.
I'm liking the compression straps! Much better!
Interesting - my Trident 20 (Gen 2) is my all time favorite EDC backpack. Love Vanquest gear - thanks for the interview

I smell a comparison video of the new vanquest vs Sabra gear! Thanks for your time Chris.
Vanquest is killin' it!
Thanks for the video mate! I was hoping in some larger backpacks form guys like Vanquest. I own the Javelin 3.0 and it is a hell of a slingpack! Im gonna buy the Trident 31 and this 45 liter is really interesting.
Damn.. I love my falcon II but it's so small for a bug out bag or a 72 bag. That 45l is something worth saving up for
DUDE!!! WHY CANT THE MARK 45 BE ENTIRELY MADE OUT OF FALCON 2 WATER PROOF MATERIAL!!!!?!?!8(((((
Sick gear! Nice job Vanquest. Thanks 101 for the vid
i think i just....well, ya know...just a little. making me question getting a Sabra 48. thanks for the look! and enjoying the peak at shot show
What do you think of the Karrimor SF packs? I’m glad Vanquest is finally making a >40 liter pack but I don’t want to wait til May...
Do you happen to know if there will be dividers for the main compartment? Something like you find on their smaller packs.
Nucky Thompson Thanks for hour inquiry. Very nice bags and the guys did a good job presenting ...
Holy fking volume control batman!
I agree the mountain pack looke slim but pack a lot of stuff in it and the plastic board looks like a good feature to have on the back
okay you got my attention with the 45ltr
Very versatile. I see a couple new packs in my future
Thanks Chris, Excellent information and Presentation. I really like what they've done with the Packs-looks like they took to heart what a lot of customers have been saying and included it with the design and upgrades. Any idea where the best place to purchase would be?

I’m glad Vanquest has bigger packs now, & a little less Velcro, with more internal zipped pockets. The sounds of tarring Velcro just irritates me.
I have the Markhor 45, Best backpack ever. EVER. PERIOD!
Lookin like vanquest is gonna beat out my Rush 72.
They make some sick packs!
What was the name of the 45ltr pack? The Marcore?
Jockie Chen
It’s called the MARKHOR-45 backpack. ETA May 2018.
Very nice slingshot pack. I need one 16l. ^^
Thanks Chris for the video.
He says Ibex 35 is dry at 4.5 pounds. Website says 6.5, which is it?
does the sound not line up or is it just me?
in the beginning it looked off... after the intro it was better
That's TH-cam, bud. Happens to me all the time when I watch longer videos. The longer I watch, the more out-of-sync the audio gets.
I don't usually have that problem
I swear the second Vanquest guy is saying Marcore, thought at first it sounded like McCore. Can you help confirm the name on the 45L backpack Chris?
Strange name (you heard right) ... it is going to be Markhor: www.vanquest.com/products/markhor-45-backpack.html

Thanks for the clarification. I look forward to checking it out!
They have great products I just don’t like the interior orange they use most of the time.
hey chris thanks for the vids. Question- i havent seen one shot show video from any YT’ber about Cold Steel. Were they there this year? I know they have new stuff
CS doesn't go to SHOT Show. I think they are perma-banned from getting into it with Show organizers one year. At least, that's the story as I know it.
PREPAREDMIND101 oh ok had no idea and was curious. SS has a ban on swords i forgot so makes sense. Thanks. Appreciate all the cool vids man
Hey Chris! Was that the last boy scout in the background of your intro! LoL
Sorry I meant the Late Boy Scout
He is in alot of it and his key trip scrub.
Range at please!

WHY CANT IT BE BUILT LIKE THE FALCON 2 ULTRA DURABLE AN WATER PROOF !?!?!?8(((((
Guess I better start saving my pennies for a pack. Thanks for the vid.

Loving the AC DC shit at the intro. Hell yea America!!!
Nice packs...
50lb or more not going to far I already tried it gets very heavy after a few miles.
Nice mountain pack! Awesome line up i like that they did what they did ccw and all.
Not familiar with the company, but the asian rep stating measurements in liters as opposed to cubic inches makes me wary that it's made in china
