@@NoMoreHeroes75 probably had little to work with animation wise without making a full custom rig for a character you only see for about 5 minutes total all game. well. at the very least he no longer looks like a distorted muppet.

@@josephsmith886 With all respect dude, I love the Legacy of Kain series to death, but this could have most definitely been done better. Just look at the Tomb Raider Remasters, done by the same studio :D The could have changed and added sound effects, especially during combat, which still sounds as barebones as it used to, also the lip syncing looks blatantly worse than in the original from over 20 years ago, textures are sometimes too clean and why the hell is Kain cross eyed with such bulging eyes? It's weird... Again, I am super happy that these games are still getting some love even now, especially the Remaster of SR1 is quite the upgrade, but the SR2 Remaster just doesn't cut it. Honestly, these two games would have really benefitted from a remake in the spirit of Defiance, with a much more solid combat system.

Here, they’re selling you the same old car at the price of a new one, but with a fresh coat of paint-badly applied, I might add just by looking at Moebius face 😂
People are so hyped for any new Legacy of Kain content that they will dogpile you for pointing out everything lazy and downright ugly with these re-masters. Consoomers face the wall. This is a low effort cash grab that wont impress anyone who isn't already a STARVING fan of the franchise. This slop is only going to "prove" to the powers that be that these games aren't worth reviving. This looks like SHIT, Every character silhouette was ruined, the enemies all look like plastic action figures now, slapping higher polygon models onto the totally unchanged character animations, ZERO improvements to level geometry, and they didn't evens touch any particle effects outside of some fire, which now looks like cartoon Fortnite BS. If this is good enough for you, by all means enjoy. But Legacy of Kain deserved better than this, the loyal fans deserved better than this.
Why is it that they reused the undated CGI? I prefer it if they had completely remade the voice lines and had the cinematics replaced by Studio Mir animation…

They appeared for me too. I don’t know if it’s a glitch or censorship but if you toggle to the old graphics the black boxes disappear.
Ok is it me or does human Raziel’s face just have a blank expression whenever he talks compared to the original game?

It had several sequels. But it never really finished the story.
Something's wrong with Kain's mouth - there's a ton of lips movement as he talks, but barely any jaw movement.

Original looked horrible.
Soul Reaver 1 graphics was a disaster.
Models were blocky and textures flat and blurry.
No PBR, DLSS, Mesh Shaders and VR.
Or HDR rendering.
