Thanks for the video Dr, but the background music is very distracting 😢 I prefer the old videos without background
Thank you for sharing Dr. Liu!
Love your channel. Thank you for all of your education and tips!
Thank you so so much
I'm so happy to hear you say that copper doesn't mix well with ascorbic acid! I just bought a peptide with copper and I was wondering if I should use it in the morning too. Good to know that I shouldn't. Thank you.
You have such great informative content. And you are such a nice person I can tell just from listening to you and your energy is very calming.
Thank you so much!
Speaking of resveratrol, Paula's Choice has a ultra-light super antioxidant serum with THD, CoQ10, niacinamide, beta glucan, EGCG. And the ordinary has a simple resveratrol serum.
Can you do a morning and evening routine is this updated? What skin type do you have?? Thanks
can you use copper peptides at the same time with a retinoid? I see a lot of conflicting information online, some say no they conflict, others say that they work very synergistically with each other. Would love you take on this
Yes you can
Very informative video
I've been enjoying your content. For very sensitive skin I found a lovely non vitamin c ,aloe based, creamy antioxidant cream from an independent brand. It has niacinamide, resveratrol, astaxanthin and palmitoyl tripeptide-8 and is from Samuel Jordan skincare. It's lovely.
Thanks for sharing!!
Please can u do a video for erythematotelangiectatic rosacea and dry skin treatments no oily skin just dry and sensitive skin pleaseeeeeeeeeeee
Hi Dr. Liu, have you looked into the Maelove's copper peptide serum (the "Peptide Squad")? They claim it uses a different delivery method that makes it compatible for simultaneous use with their Vitamin C serum (which uses L-ascorbic acid).
The Budget Dermatologist has reviewed that and liked it.
So refreshing that we have a derm in the States reviewing j and k skincare which are really accessible and the formulation is second to none. Plus I cant read the ingredients in Japanese. I hear j and k skincare vitamin c is more about brightening than antioxidant based. Is that right?
Ty!!
Thank you yes, most Asian skin care, utilizes, vitamin C, derivatives that have more evidence for brightening
Thank you for the recommendations. It’s nice to see what products others are using, and the purpose and consistency of the products (ps. I like the background music 🤷🏽♀️).
I just bought that Peter Thomas Roth Vit C serum, I'm finishing up a Timeless Vitamin C first.
oh the PTR is my holy grail! hate the scent though haha
Can you please do a video not he combinations of peptides and Vit C serums that can be used in the AM? I use peptides twice daily AND vit C in the morning but not sure if I am using them in the right combination.
For barrier skin support, have you seen the Paula's Choice barrier repair advanced moisturizer and the Inkey List bio-active ceramide repairing and plumping moisturizer?
Yes I like that one from PC! Not tried Inkey
What u think about the rwvestrav from the ordinary?
I have copper peptides serum and never can find time for it. Because morning is lascorbic acid and evening is retinoid. When you use it. Alternatively I guess
You can use copper peptides and retinoids at the same time (several derm channels have said this). The common advice has been not to use ascorbic acid (vit c) with copper peptides though vit c derivatives with copper peptides are fine.
Doc, I used roaccutane pills and like 6 months ago, and I find that my skin has changed in terms of sebum production, my skin has become extra sensitive and really prone reactions, really dry and sensitive whenever I use actives.
Could you please help me with product suggestions, products that could help build my skin tolerance again and hydrates and heals and protects it. I find myself prone to blackheads too so I can’t use salicylic acid due to the hypersensitivity of my skin.
Would appreciate your help, thank you
❤
Dr. Liu how does that Peach and Lili copper peptides serum compares to the Ordinary with copper peptides? Would like to try but price is little steep
I really like that one was ones has similar copper tripeptide ingredients
@@dr.jennyliu thank you!
Good Morning Dr.Jenny, hope you are doing well!
I have a question, is it safe to use 15 % azelaic acid gel twice daily for the rest of my life? Should I be worried that one day it'll just stop working ?
Yes
Hello doctor I have a question that I don’t really understand so for example the Japanese brand of vitamin C you use they have a toner, serum and cream all vitamin C. If I were to use all 3 would it be more beneficial? Or just pick 1 of the items to use? Same goes with like Retinal lines that have serums, creams toners, essences… just 1 or all for higher effects?
There are some brands that want you to buy all their products and use them (because they want your money). But when you see most derms do their routines, they are using one product (maybe a corresponding eye cream) and not several of the same type of product.
I personally would pick serum
Do you use Korean spf in the winter?
Yep
Is it okay to use a salicylic acid face wash at night and use a otc retinol after?
I heard it’s better to do it separately, like do the Salicylic acid wash during the day time and retinol at night. For very sensitive skin, might need to even do it on separate days
I've seen some derms say it's okay with a wash off product to use a retinoid after. But yes, if you have sensitive skin, use the SA wash in the morning and the retinoid at night.
my skin is dry n sensitive, but my nose is oily. is it a good idea to only cleanse my nose in the mornibg with a clranser ?
Yeah, that totally works too
doctor, i used glycolic acid on my face. after that i went to the sun. now my face is scratching a lot. now my face is very dark. i need to recover my face. what should i do? please help me 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Your info is great, the music is super annoying.
Thanks for the feedback !
I am enjoying your content, but there is absolutely no need for the background music. It is extraordinarily distracting and takes away from the content of what you were putting out.
I couldn’t agree more. Thank you x
The music it's fine, it's just too loud. Without the music it might feel quite uncomfortable
Wow, I just stopped the video to write exactly this!!😣 I've given up on wanting to work hard to ignore the obnoxious incessant broken record. Her messages are so good, I just don't understand why she'd choose to add this particular noise
Music is very 'back background' and non intrusive 😊
I didn’t even notice the music.
So complicated :(
Yours don’t have to be at all. This is what works for me
It's what works for her.
That watery toner looks like a straight gimmick 😂
I noticed that you did not apply any of these products on your eyelids? WHy? You hope to find this video helpful I don't think this is helpful at all! You did not show us that you appl all over your face including eyelids!! Come on! Why did you cut the video when you're applying products on your face? I want to see if you apply those products on your eyelids as well.
I don’t apply any irritating ingredients to eyelids in general, but always will apply moisturizer
I'm sure this takes extra time and is NOT necessary to do in ALL videos. I'm very appreciative of Dr Liu's time to present such informative content! Thanks, Dr Liu
