Well it's easier to put 2 and 2 together when you have both side of perspective is sharing info with each other, not so much when playing by yourself with only one side of the perspective.
i was playing with a good friend of mine and this was our first of the anthology to hit, when this happened, we tried not telling eachother information throughout the whole series unless we were with eachother in game, so when this happened, we were completely silent and we ended up not killing eachother despite the fact that we didnt have communication and didnt know what was going to exactly happen. we both just kind of had an idea
I’m somehow both annoyed and entertained by their play style at once lol also I’ve never seen anyone play this just two players yet, it’s super cool how they play at the same time!
Look up james WillEms, he plays it with his wife or uberhaxornova plays with sp00nerism. Both top tier youtubers, james willems and his wife are from funhaus
I think it was fine. Until Dawn was definitely better but this one was at least 7/10 spooky and there was some creepy stuff, like corpses moving in the background that was really well done. The two-perspectives-thing was also pretty cool.
It wouldnt be as bad if they didnt spoil the plot so fucking early. The game loses traction the second you find out its a chemical weapon. Either dont drop hints to the "plot twist" being some dumb bullshit so early it ruins the fun or have the balls to commit to the spooky ghost plot and just run with it all the way. The scooby doo ghost story thing is just disappointing every time I see it in movies and games. It tells me that every one of these stories they are planning for the game is going to be a scooby doo mystery and makes me not want to play the rest of them.
@@Lonewolf6565 I didn't think it ruined it. I perceived it as world building. It was extremely interesting, especially to me since I really think the idea of a horror story built upon something as simple as a government cover-up is really cool. I don't think it should necessarily be considered a horror game, but more of a mystery thriller. You're kind of a detective, but you have little power or resources to take control in the majority of the events, not to mention the chemical weapon causing hallucinations. I honestly think the "plot twist" bullshit in movies is stupid, especially when the viewer/player has no hints or any way of thinking about what could be causing whatever phenomena they are experiencing. The "plot twist" mantra at the END of movies ESPECIALLY sucks, and I'd MUCH rather have it be something like the plot twist in this game, where you are given hints about it as you go. There is an argument that can be made that the story teller shouldn't have been a part of the game, as I think it kind of breaks the immersion and suspense as a sort of intermission in between major events, and I especially wasn't really happy that he would give hints to the players about the whole point of the horror associated with the chemical weapon. Even when the players didn't ask for any hints, he gave away too much after the second or third intermission. Anyway, I still really like it, especially since they implemented a co-op feature. It's a great movie-length story, fully interactive, great graphics and mechanics, along with a diverse set of characters, and a story build-up that sets up the plot twist really well. There are decisions you can make in this game that make it look like the were good decisions, such as Conrad escaping on the speedboat, but actually end up in someone's death. This game is nowhere near being a bad game. It's not even close to being as large as Until Dawn, content wise, and the story isn't nearly as long either, but I'd rather have smaller, more diverse stories of varying settings and topics than one huge story, that can't be completed in one sitting, with no co-op, and has to cover one topic long enough while being able to maintain the suspense, mystery, and thrill. Until Dawn is an amazing story-driven horror game, but you can't really compare Until Dawn to Man of Medan. They are completely different in how they are designed to tell a story. I personally give Man of Medan a solid 8/10, and it seemed that Criken and Tomato REALLY enjoyed it, which is a good sign to me because Tomato especially is VERY picky about the games he plays. Either way, I enjoyed watching the stream, I thought it was very entertaining, and I think the game in general is just a must play for anyone willing to play it with a friend. I can't speak for what playing the game solo is like, but people seem to really enjoy the co-op, and I'm sure the movie mode is probably great fun with a bunch of people just hanging out.
Yeah... the bends doesn't work like that. lol The worse the symptoms, the faster they onset. If it takes this long to set in, it would be the minimal effects. If she were going to die, it would have been before they even went to sleep. lol
That ending is some actual horseshit. I actually like the possibility of a cruel ending like that but if they’re gonna do that they at least have to have it make some sense
Such a terrible game. The door drop is a perfect example of the many plotholes and contrivances. -Don't pull the door and Conrad is too weak to fight off Olson. -Pull the door and SUDDENLY Conrad has the strength to fight of Olson and dodge the door.
I agree. Looking at what happens if you pull the lever, there's no reason to think that choice would kill Olson but spare Conrad. It's ridiculous. And there's no way someone pulls that lever thinking, "I know, this'll give Connie the adrenaline to fight off Olson!"
This game does have some harder ones because of the time, but they managed to avoid both of them. If Conrad chooses to go for the boat, you have to do two very quick qtes that give you a split second to react. Also, had they closed the door during the last sequence, there’s a very quick mashing sequence to avoid getting killed by the door. Unless you’re expecting that one it’s very difficult.
My time with this game was weird in that I had a reverse honeymoon period with this, and this I hated it’s Guts for being cheap scares with stupid villains who don’t pose an actual threat. All the actual scares are literally just for trailer shots, and don’t fit into the story at all, but I eventually just went “meh, it made me jump, and even if you can guess the twist (that they spoil less than halfway through the game) in under a quarter of the games run time, it’s still an okay story with the same shitty stereotypes, yes, but at least they’re utilized well

Hell, I've nearly stopped watching a few times because I don't like it either. The irritation at this point far outweighs the entertainment value. Can't help it. I don't know what it is, but it's not a switch you can turn off and just suddenly not find it annoying. Why he'd think complaining to chat would change anything, I don't know, but I imagine they kept bitching.
It annoys whiners. Those whiners should go to other streams. Best Friends had the same problem, a bunch of complainers in the comment sections mandating what play style they should employ.
