Frankly, Vincent should’ve been the one to survive. That’s the “good” ending. Leo made reparations with his wife and kid, and Vincent dying deprived his spouse of them making amends and their daughter ever getting to truly know and experience her father for who he was. The ending they got is what I would consider the “bad” ending. Or the sad one.

America is a HUGE country, and they don't mobilize the entire adult male population at once, Leo could have just been further down the list. Vincent may or may not have been in the police which would have expempted him from service.
@@ShasOSwoll thanks for the comment, I asked on the subreddit and they gave a great explanation: VIncent was not drafted because Police were essential personnel exempt from the draft. Leo, on the other hand, had a criminal record and was barred from military service because of that.

The ending was a let down, the fact even if both players choose to do nothing you're forced to kill is stupid. If you want to force them to kill the other have them escape from a burning building where survival means pushing the other down coincidentally not some Call of Duty deathmatch.
