Why is it that shops/places, that do a lot of exhaust installs, don't have exhaust hanger pliers? They make the job so much easier and save a few minutes along with frustration. Sure, expandable pliers or pry bars can do a similar job, but both are not as effective as the actual hanger pliers. Place, squeeze, done.
@@malcolmdbz so far I'm liking the HKS type L but I haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet. I'm actually working with a shop at the racetrack close to my house to develop one that they are going to sell so I'm going to wait and see what theirs sounds like first.

Or for the magnaflow prototype to be finished and for sale. Since this one's fairly priced i was thinking, run this at first, the do UEL headers, over pipe. And a i get deeper into the build, get another cat back, when more new products enter the warehouses in the next 3 years. I just gotta get these stockpipes off, and lower it 🤪.
What if the donut gasket comes off I bought this exhaust and I'm gonna try to put it on myself never done any mods or anything This video is great How is this exhaust for a first timer

It shouldn't effect gas mileage at all, but usually you'll see a small decrease in fuel efficiency after installing from accelerating more often than you used to so you can hear it 😏

I had this same exhaust on the first gen and it droned like crazy, but there is a small chance that changed for this gen but I doubt it, it’s manageable tho as I still daily drive mine and loved the exhaust
@@SteezyKenny so it really depends on what you consider loud. I don’t really think the cold starts are super loud but at the same time my neighbors 4 or 5 houses down could hear any time my car started. At the end of the day tho it only lasts for about 30 seconds and I never got any complaints about it

Phone/camera mics do a terrible job of capturing the full sound spectrum equally. Higher frequencies (human speech) are more emphasized than lower ones.

Hopefully Tomei makes another Type 80 design on the brz. The tones are much better single exit compared to dual exit.

I just bought an 86 that already has this exhaust on it but it’s not centered in the cut outs in bumper is it adjustable before bolting everything up
This one has pretty good sound. I know it would sound much much different if it was turbo.

Don’t use WD40 on the hangers, if you don’t clean them off it will eat away at them over time. Use soapy water instead.
