WOW! So awesome! The best part: if you've sold out of something, use the same listing if you can with similar products!! I'd sold a few "one of a kind" and thought that was fun, but you helped me realized it was hurting my business! I've renewed those listings and am finding similar items to use! Thanks Jenny!!
My wreaths are one of a kind at this point. I believe there are people who enjoy owning items that are one of a kind. I did like your suggestion to update a sold listing with a similar item!
These are such great tips and definitely common mistakes that Etsy sellers make when starting out. I made SO many mistakes in the beginning but the biggest thing is to just keep improving and not giving up. Great video! :)
You are so adorable and have such a sweet personality. I get a real feeling of joy just listening to you on here. I am just starting out with making wreaths and am new to watching any craft shows on youtube. I really know nothing about the social media aspect of things, but I guess I will just have to learn. Thanks for being a good inspiration to us gals just getting into the craft business. Looking forward to watching you on here again. God bless and have a great weekend!
Lee Hughes Your comment made my day! Thank you so much!! And I didn’t know anything about the social media side of things either when I first started. The best way to learn is to just start and keep improving 😊. Thanks so much for watching! And best of luck with your new craft business!!
It was very helpful. I appreciate the fact that you are sharing so this valuable information with us because I know you don’t have to do this - so thank you x
Thanks for these helpful tips. Just discovered you and appreciate your spirit. I’m curious how much completed wreath inventory you had when you started your Etsy shop? Also, how many hours per week were you creating at that time to build that inventory? Thanks!
Hi! I started with very little inventory and slowly built it over time. And I didn’t have anything finished. I made a handful of wreaths without glueing anything in, took pics, then made a whole different design using those same materials, took pics, etc. I started with 10 wreaths. I share my whole story of how I started in this video if you’re interested 😊 👉🏼 th-cam.com/video/LyT7C-Q6kQ4/w-d-xo.html
This was extremely helpful as my daughters and I are just starting an Etsy shop. They are more knowledge with the terminology and social media so information like this helps me keep up. 😁 Thank you for sharing your experiences!
Hi Jenny, I just discovered your channel yesterday and I am enjoying your crafts. If one was to list an item with an unsearchable title and wanted to update the title would that be considered another listing? I am curious. I have been thinking of starting an Etsy shop for a while.
Hi Jenny! When you say "one of a kind item" do you mean a one-off item or an item that requires some sort of customization, so it's unique to each person? I'm thinking about selling something that someone would need to give me their initials for.
By one of a kind, I mean something you’re only going to make once. That’s different than made to order where each item is a little different, but you’re selling the same thing over and over. I hope that makes sense. For example, sometimes I like to go through extra wreath supplies and use them up by making a unique wreath that I won’t be replicating. Once that listing sells, I don’t re-list it. So I guess a one-off item is a good way to say it. The reason for this is, selling a listing over and over (customization of that listing is fine) builds up the listing quality score. That, in turn, helps your listing rank higher in search. 😊
Your personality is seriously the best! Very informative video! 🥰
You are the sweetest! Thank you! I feel so awkward on camera 😅

Should I use a camera or my phone to take pictures to post with my product?
Phone cameras are so good these days, I just use my phone. But if you have a nice camera already use that. It really doesn’t matter.

Any editing you do on a listing wouldn’t be considered a new listing, no. It’s still the same listing.

@@JennysWreathBoutique Got it! Thanks so much!
‘This is me typing’ LOL 😂
😆
Sounds like TH-cam and Etsy seo are very similar. Side note- I love your tops.
Nikki Schumacher Official Oh good I’m glad! Makes things easier when you don’t need to relearn too much across different platforms. And thank you ☺️
I’ve made all of these mistakes. 😢 Hence, no sales on Etsy. Out of the five Mistakes, which is the most important to work on first?
That’s tough because they’re all SO important! I’d say pictures and marketing are tied for first.
