Corey is real and raw. I’ve always liked him from a teen. Im now almost 46. This guy has my respect and always have. Stone Sour great band as well. Helped me in many times.

Slipknot really spoke to me as a teen. I was suffering through a lot of trauma and depression and going through the normal life changes as well. He is poetic, articulate, and the instruments boom deep into the soul.

I love how all the fans are just being quiet and respectful while he talks. Says alot about the people who call themselves slipknot fans.
I can’t speak for others but slipknot has pulled me through the best and absolute worst times of my life. I’m 35 and saw them live just last night and it makes me seriously happy to see younger crowds embracing them the same as we did. If you ever find yourself at a metal concert you’ll quickly learn that metal heads are some of the kindest and more respectful people you’ll ever meet

Corey Taylor is one of rock's most talented and classy frontmen. Notice how the only reason he ever took umbrage in the first place was in defense of others. People can rag on Slipknot all they like (but it's fine not to enjoy the music obv) but Corey's been a hugely positive influence in the genre since he started. And in my opinion a top Hall of Fame talent.

That’s a tall task that I don’t think anyone has accomplished. I think anyone can admit that metal purists that dislike nu-metal exist, but that’s not a purely inclusive grouping. I’m sure there’s some people out there that like metal, and also like nu-metal. It’s not fair of you to force your opinion, or the possible opinions of what you feel the majority may be, onto an entire group of people. That’s a big reason why division exists in so many areas today, not just this musical discussion on genres.

I was never a fan of Slipknot, but my mom had a soldier who was going through depression at the time they had him on watch because he was found laying on the roof of a building jamming out to music. My mom asked me if I could talk to him, I did and he was going on and on about Slipknot and I remember smiling.. anyways the military ended up kicking him out and my mom fought for him with no luck. A few months later we received emails from him saying how sorry he was and he loved us. We later learned that after writing the emails he took his own life. A few months after that Slipknot came to EP Texas and me and my mom went to see them, for him.

I listen to all genres of music and I’m from Chicago.. I was actually one of the fans watching “the old weird dudes with masks”.. I listened to MGK but without a doubt I’d rather see Slipknot for the 30th time tear it up. Their live shows are amazing.

I've loved Slipknot for 13 years and Eminem since I was a kid. I honestly had no idea who the eff MGK was until the whole Eminem thing. I've checked out some of his songs (In both genres) and I was not impressed lol it was just noise.
Corey Taylor and the band are the top 5 best metal bands ever. His voice range from singing like angel to his demonic growls and screams are IMO unmatched. MGK can only wish he was as good as Slipknot and Metallica
