    Print screen on iMac

      Yup :-) At least as in the print screen button that is usually found on Windows keyboards :-)

    That really doesn’t tell me if this screen shot can be printed to a printer. If I go to Print in the upper left (in the drop-down), will that print to a printer?

      Hi! No you are absolutely right. This video is about different techniques to make a copy of what’s shown on the screen on a Mac-computer. However to physically print the screenshot taken using the video you can press File and then Print up to the left :-) Before printing be sure to check the scaling options so that the whole image fits the paper :-) // Chris

      But in my search: I typed In How to print from screenshot”

    • @GetThereFaster
      @GetThereFaster  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bettycapps Understand that my video would show up to that search as well. Unfortunately I can´t do much in terms of what TH-cam/Google shows. As the correct terminology for making a digital copy of the screen is _also_ print screen. The Print Screen button is available on Windows keyboards and thus many Apple users (me too) have been looking for how to use that specific function on the Mac-computers. But I´ll have a think if the title perhaps could be changed to something more fitting, to avoid further confusion :-) Thx for the heads-up! // Chris

    My question was [How do I PRINT a Screen shot on MacBook Air] Instead I got this video which it didn't help

      Sorry the video was the wrong one for your question. Unfortunately I have very little impact on what TH-cam suggest to the different searches. However if I remember correctly, to print a screen shot on a MacBook Air (or any other Mac-computer) you click the thumbnail that appears in the corner then either select "File" (up to the left) followed by "Print" or "Command + P" on the keyboard. This should initiate the print dialog. If the thumbnail disappears any new screen shots should, provided the setting has never been changed, should appear on the desktop where you can double click on it to open. Thanks! // Chris

    Definitely didn’t show me how to print my screenshot

      Hi! No, that is correct. The "Print Screen" in the video refers to the "Print Screen-button" on Windows keyboards and is a lot of times used to describe the process of taking a screen shot or screen grab. So that's what the video is for; users that are accustomed to the print screen button from Windows but don't know how to do the same thing on a Mac :-) Could maybe rename the video to "How to do a Print Screen / Screen Shot on Mac". Thx for the input! And also, to physically print the screenshot when in the preview windows (as in the video) all you have to do is to press CMD + P to open the print dialog window. You can also reach it by going to File and selecting Print. // Chris

    This is dumb. He shows how to capture an image but never shows how to print.

      Well, if you’re looking for a video on how to print a print screen screenshot on a printer then the video is definitely dumb. However that’s both not what the video is called and “print screen” is also a physical button on Windows keyboards that makes a digital copy of what’s shown on the screen. Thus many Windows users that sits in-front of an Apple computer might not know that a similar function as pressing the print screen button exists on macOS as well. Hence the title of the video being “How to Print Screen on Mac” instead of “How to print what’s shown on the screen on a Mac”. Which I think is what you’re actually looking for :-) Thx for the input though! Hope my thoughts made sense. // Chris

      I think maybe if you called it "How to do a screen capture on a Mac" that would be a better title. In any event I found the solution. Thanks

      @@user-lj8dq7us9e Thx for the feedback :-) I´ll see if I change it. Great you found the solution elsewhere at least. Have a good day/night! // Chris
