Great video I would just like to mention that you say rpm made a mistake with the larger head on the steering knuckle side however on their website it specifically says these only work on the lower outer hubs and are for that use only so not rpm fault they just haven’t made any for the tops 👍
AWESOME!!! Your the best Bars&Tone! My rear arm popped out of my first xmaxx first drive, I popped it back in. Then stripped my spur gear and pinion!!! This is a must have upgrade! Years ago I used M2H……Home Depot to fix this issue! 🤣 but this is an awesome product! Thank you for the how to!!!!👊👍💯🍻
I liked Ur vid and yes it's about having fun? That's why I do the hobby, also liking your vids good air and control also Ur attitude towards the RC hobby in keep sending Ur cars 👍💯
Loving my m2c racing hinge pins I only replaced the front ones because the rpm ones was rubbing So no more rubbing And I have to say the center brace is a must have for heavy bashing Great work keep it tye great video content.
Hope this will be out soon bashing day coming on the 21 of May up here at Rc madness so I need all m2c can offer to see if I get some price in the jump competition 😅😅😅🤣🤣.God Bless u man always fun to watch u.
Man I got the RPM ones in there and I never drilled mine out I left them just hanging out on the outside and I went and looked and I don't see mine ain't hitting it or nothing I don't think but got me looking now I'll probably end up getting them anyway everything else on my truck's m2c why not
Great this improvement and very well thought out, thank you for this presentation man. Now from my little experience that I have had with my Xmaxx for 2 years and especially in a skate park session with the Traxxas reinforced triangles, I happened once to take out the bulkhead side rear sup triangle, so I went from forward by capturing the arms. But I finally realize that I split the bulkhead at the joints, so what is better!? Afterwards, these breakages must certainly occur during bad receptions in pointed or starfish ahah :)! Knowing that the rear bulkhead is sold with the cell and not retail! which is the case for the front bulkhead, go figure why :) . So to try to overcome this problem I put my upper triangles back on without capturing them to restore flexibility to the whole, for the moment it seems to work so to see in a few sessions in the skate park . Can't wait to hear your feedback on this, that would be cool, thank you for sharing Bars&tone RC, enjoy
You know… that actually makes ALOT of sense to me. I never thought about the pins being a built in weak point so you don’t crack the chassis! I keep losing outer lower hinge pins I just put on the rpm’s but I think I like these m2c better because of the flat head fitting flush. I don’t know how much they are but if they are expensive then I’ll just swap to a spare set of CEN captured pins. But I digress great point you made
Hey buddy nice install video i am going to be installing these on both my xmaxx and xrt this weekend. Now ive been told that one set idk which one it was but it wont fit on the xrt so they cant really be used. Any insight on this would be appreciated. Also do you have the m2c hex extenders on there with or without the m2c wide kit? Bc i dont see the m2c wide kit
@@BarstoneRC i already have the wide kit just havent installed it yet bc i am waiting on another part upgrade for that area and i dont wanna have to take it apart twice yanno. I couldnt see the wide kit on yours all i could see were the extenders. But as far as the hinge pins do you drill out the front side and back side bc you only showed the front side i believe. Thank you for your time in responding brother. Love your content
@@BarstoneRC I’ve never had this happen with the stock captured pins. Maybe I’m not sending it hard enough to get them to pop off. I guess everything has its limitations.
Those RPM kit was for only the outer bottom of the arms. That's why they came only with 4 screws! Thought you knew that since your a suppose of a Xmaxx guy. And with the M2C kit they cost $51.00 and you need 2 kits. So it's $102.00
Why didnt they just simply make the head of the shock pins a hex that a standard socket could engage? Weird design choice. They solved one problem while creating another.
@@BarstoneRC That, Im sure, but its fussy ordeal. If it wan't it wouldn't have been clipped from the video. If they still wanted a flush head, an allen key engagement in addition to what they have now, would make for much faster installation, and when the keyway is clogged, use pliers on the flats then.
@user-fy5by5xp7n I am a mechanical engineer who is paid well to simplify inefficient costly designs. If you are too dense to understand that a screw should be designed to use a common driver, then it is people like you that allowed me to make a living. I thank you. You're also late to the party. This design (and video) is old. GPM did it better...with a hex head design since this video was posted over a year ago.
Why do so many people...including some engineers, pronounce Delrin as Delron? It burns my ears every time. Im an engineer that designs with that material often, so I unfortunately get to hear that "i" obliterated to an "o" all the time.

I just trimmed two upper RPM pins to 0.060” and it clears the steering knuckles for full travel.
awesome install video! thanks for taking the time to show everyone how easy this is!
Thanks for a great product guys! Easy to install and fits up great
@M2c I tried finding these under the xmaxx menu on the website and nothing shows up? Link?
These are the prototypes for us to test they will be released very soon
Awesome video an good job m2c thumbs 👍

Props to MC2 racing for keeping David up and running. Great vid Brother can't wait to See you give the XMaxx hell 💯🔥👊👍✌
Yeah they put together some really great products now that the rest of the piece of showed up I can put this thing back together
@@BarstoneRC Are these discontinued already? I don't see them on the website. I really wanted the outer hinge pin set.
No, they might be currently out of stock

Seems I would only want the M2C outer upper pin. The heads of the RPM hardware is more practical in the other locations.

I might be wrong but i think alot of people use the cen reeper hingepins
I heard where the cen parts are made in the same factory in mmmmm as Traxxas

I believe they were very lightly drilled on both, if you’re talking about the diameter of the hole for the a arm
what's that on the hood of your truck? Looks Fast
That’s my limitless running 8S I’ve hit 121 mph so far
Sounds Fun!
I had it out for a run the other day the video will will be coming up soon
I only have bottom one normal I have a reason to change them all lol
do you know when they are gonna be available ?
Well we just got them to test them out as long as nothing needs changed they should be out pretty soon
Really awesome do you know when we can order these ?
I don’t have an exact date but they will be very soon.
What was the issue with the Traxxas captured pins?
On big jumps are hard in packs they pop out of the a arm very easily
@@BarstoneRC I’ve never had this happen with the stock captured pins. Maybe I’m not sending it hard enough to get them to pop off. I guess everything has its limitations.
Yeah, it was always the outside uppers especially they would pop out of the a arms. It drove me crazy.

Yeah but the outer uppers or what popped out all the time also so no matter what you needed to kits for everything.
I love M2C products and I want a set but can't justify spending 10% the price of an entire X-maxx for hinge pins.
Honestly, looks unbreakable but come on, $53 a set? Yikes
There’s a lot of money invested in engineering and product and it all depends on if you need them or not
Was just about to install two kits on my X Maxx and noticed that 2 outer pins are missing, my typical luck lmao!
You’re missing pins with the new kit?
@@BarstoneRC Yeah!
Definitely send them a message and they will send you them and make it right
are the traxxas heavy duty arms better then the rpm arms 😂 i love that color tho it pops! xmaxx looking fresher then ever with the m2c racing
I have had a lot better luck with the Traxxas ones amazingly enough the RPM rip too easily
Why doesn't anyone who does this kits don't show rear hinge pins.
XRT rear is a PITA
I’m not sure I mean they’re all pretty much the same
Why didnt they just simply make the head of the shock pins a hex that a standard socket could engage? Weird design choice. They solved one problem while creating another.
There’s enough of a head that you can grab a hold of and it’s plenty to tighten down the small nut
