      If you're staying the factory route and not the 24 mill The threads the same as factory?

  • @GreatLakesRC

    Great install video! Couple things to note for people. It comes with "everything" set screws, bigger cross pins, the jig for stock wheels, Allen wrench, drill bit, new sure lock wheel nuts. If you get the 24mm hex it fits Arrma tires and a few mm longer thread to fit duratrax aka duratrash tires a bit better since their offset is different. That's ALOT of stuff! Not to mention it's all 7075! Yes I know this comment sounds like a commercial 🤣 I'm just blown away by the innovation in this one 🤩

    FYI, On the video from M2C they were very clear on when drilling out the stock hexes to only drill one side at a time, not all the way through.

    Ran these 3 times and I broke it 2 out of 3 lol. The stub axles are strong but the truck not so much , hubs, a-arms, caster blocks ect. It looks so much better now with a wider stance. And it handles much better. So I’m gonna keep running then and hopefully I stop breaking stuff. 🤞

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, the extra width does put a little more torque on things but it does handle a lot better with it.

    I think that I'm going to get this. The stock axle ends fall apart with time and are hard to remove because I run a Max 5 and 1100kv 5687 motor with 25/35 gearing on my X-Maxx. Good stuff!

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Man those look good! I got some off brand (bas) 10mm stub axles and they look real good to me! Got one run on them today for a real light test run in the snow and it feels good. I don't like that u have to buy the extra hexes in the m2c stubs or run a pin on the stock hex but they do look nice!

    • @BarstoneRC

      I just recently discovered that TRX is using course threaded axles and nuts..was thinking they were the same as any other brand of RC..nope. I guess it's all part of the TRX conspiracy..let's make it incompatible with EVERY other brand on the market so those slaves have to buy from US!! LOL!
      So my question is, are the M2C axles using course or fine threaded nuts?
      I'm looking to use 8s backflips on my X but sounds like if I don't buy the M2C 24mm hexes separately, I will still need to source the adapter nuts elsewhere? The backflips have an 18mm.Vs TRX 12mm center bore in the wheels? Anyone know for sure what thread M2C is using? Thanks!
