- In this episode, I ride my motorcycle to Kakum National Park in Ghana. After a 45 minute hike through the jungle, I reach the canopy bridges. What an amazing experience to walk over the 7 bridges across the canopy and hearing the monkeys and jungle sounds. I then spend the night in a treehouse, surrounded by more jungle sounds..

Nothing against the documentaries that "National Geographic" or the "Discovery" channel make, but when you watch Norly's videos, you really do get a much better idea of what different countries and their people are like.
I think it is because she in not dragging a small army of support personnel behind her. Her 'foot print' is literally two feet.
100% agree. this is amazing and so educational to watch. Simpler is better and most important no media bias or predetermined narrative. The money, advertisers, etc for big production often comes with political and other limitations. Peace!
@@jasonzerbini2375Amen. An open heart and an open mind. No agenda, but to experience life.
Agreed! 💯
Nothing against the modern day fully equipped & sponsored travellers....
National Geographic Society was established in 1888 .... None of the humans alive today wasn't even born then...
The Maps, the dirt tracks the lost tribes & the civilizations the flora & the fauna, the glaciers, the rivers the geography, the space, the religion the spirituality...none of the above this modern world would ever have known about this planet, if those explorers would never have walked across the globe on foot.
As long as there is visual media, people will never become non believers.
😌

I guess I'm addicted to Noralay's videos, it was a very long 3 days.
I know! I kept checking for the next video every 2-3 hours.

😊😊👍👍
That was special. To be able to stay in pristine rainforest like that - very few have had the privilege. Reminds me how much we need to care for the planet.
It is truly wonderful, yes. There is a place called Langouie bai in Ivindo n.p. in Gabon where it is difficult to sleep because...the elephants trumpet to one another all night. Believe me...louder than the bugs 🤬🐘
Africa is really blessed seeing the natural forest in its fullest greenish
All the africa country you visit it seems Ghana is the most lovely environment and love people
English is a national language so its easy to travell
Drone shorts captured the beauty of the Ghana's jungle in a stunning way.
Anyone watching this should make it a point to visit Ghana sometime. You'll love it
I have Ghanaian friends. They’re among the classiest and kindest people I know.
Thanks Noraly!
Ghana is my fathers land. and Tanzania is my mothers land. i see you had some sobolo on the previous video. really enjoying this journey i feel like its me traveling through i cant wait to see passing Tanzania
What an amazing journey it has been. Thank you for taking us with you. I am 65 and was never able to travel. Now i travel through your eyes.
She definitely isn't the typical tourist, and she indeed loves exploring and experiencing places the local people live!
Places almost nobody lives. lol
Great movie! I worked in Ghana for a month in 1999 on an arsenic study and while there visited Kakum National Park. The people there are terrific and I have many fond memories of Ghana.
Absolutely beautiful drone shots of the trees and the elevated walk ways in the national park.
Thank you SO much!
agreed, the drones are the greatest, I am so thankful to have lived long enough to see such great videos, thanks
I agree.
Amazing place ! You have had some stunning stays . This has to be up there with the most stunningly beautiful.
Yes, that was awesome. I was thinking about how easy it might be, to get lost, trying to fly the drone back, since everything looks like it disappears below the trees.
Nah, destrøying the trees is a hårríbłe kr - lots of precious trees were fełłed to make some pøintłs bridges and tree houses that shouldn’t have been made at all, pfff, hüm’ns shouldn’t even be ałwd close to forests / grasses / flowers etc who are sacred and pure beings (only reflecting me the pure being) and should have always been protected from hüm’ns! I actually watched it with the Dutch sub and for the Dutch sub, as I’m trying to get to a native speaker level in Dutch - at least I learned 5 new Dutch words from the video! It seems like in Dutch both centipedes and millipedes are referred to as a duizendpoot - but there should definitely be a term for the actual centipede like honderdpoot, because duizendpoot is technically the millipede!
Where are my Ghanaian brothers and sisters, show Noraly some love here by smashing that button 👍🏿
You have truly changed my view of the world. Such a beautiful place. Thank you.
Wow Ghana looks cool, I've met a few people from there here in Ireland, very friendly people, now I've seen a little of where they've come from. Thank you.
In my 74 years, I have participated in quite a few risky and somewhat dangerous sports/hobbies. Having said that, I don’t know if I would have the confidence, guts, and determination to travel the world solo, esp in some of the remote and dangerous areas you travel. You are one brave person and a real inspiration. I love your videos and narration.
74 as well and likewise risked life and limb. Lived and worked Arctic, flew bush airplanes and in the military, hiked many dangerous areas. That said, I would love to travel to areas like West Africa but afraid of catching a food borne, water borne or insect borne disease. Getting sick without nearby healthcare would likely finish me off.
The risk you're talking about don't exist Sir. You as a tourist with a different skin ,not only white but the black American skin ,you're more safe than myself as an African. These places are so safe. There's a few countries that are unsafe maybe because of their politics but most are so safe❤
@@Africanvillageactivities Lmao. Nice try. We know what your lot does to tourist. Noraly is immensely brave for doing this on her own but stop lying.
You @@Africanvillageactivities assume by dangerous I am referring solely to people being dangerous. You will find bad people anywhere in the world and many will take advantage of travelers, as Noraly described when she was shaken down by "dirty cops". But danger also comes from riding solo through hundreds of miles of desert; from riding through areas alone populated with animals that can attack; from breaking down many miles away from any help. So "dangerous areas" can be almost anywhere when you're traveling alone, whether it refers to geography or population. For the most part, the people she has encountered on this trip have been wonderful.
Check out " Wild lens by Abrar"....solo motovlog from Germany to Pakistan and India...he is an aero-space engineer and travel vlogger .....his drone photography and motovlog is Spectacular.....I think his photography and editing etc is even better than Noraly.......his off road trips are a bike's dream.....❤❤
Have lived in Africa my whole life - born in Kenya moved through Tanzania snd finally in South Africa - yet Ghana are the most welcoming of all what a lovely culture you always treated as an equal no racism no chips on the shoulder - great place
Ja, the Ghanaians seem like lekker folks.
Thanks for acknowledging. Sometimes we are too nice to our own demise.

@@Vladimir_agu What for?
My daughter did her gap year in Ghana in around 2003. She taught English in a school and lived with a Ghanaian family. Had a wonderful time, though she wouldn't eat rice for ages after she came back. Apparently she had it every single day as part of her meal. 1st world problems 😄 She went to this tree top walk ( or one similar) with a group of other young people doing the same thing. As she is scared of heights she crawled along the bridges on her hands and knees and cried the whole way around. Apparently the locals were laughing at her as she cling to the trees at the end of each section. She still hates heights to this day, however, she has great memories of Ghana.
Certainly made a memorable impression on you, and that gap year must have left you worried and anxious at times?
Amazing haha, that would be me too lol. Surely one of her mates has a video of that 🤣. Ghana is definitely the most stable, prosperous and friendly West African country.
Nice story Ian. Seems like your daughter made an unforgettable & amazing choice.
Wonderful story. 😄❤️
😂😂😂😂, I sometimes get confused as to whether Ghanaians are chines or perhaps we and the chines are twins, Ghanaians and rice and now spa or indomie added up is like monkeys and their bananas, we have other local dishes to be enjoyed only if its cooked well though, just that most people love the rice factor..........if you are fed up with rice, then, come along with your local dishes to enjoy our country....... I cease this opportunity to join all the Ghanaians on this channel to say, you out there at any corner of this world, you are welcome to our Country, get in touch with the right people, and you will love it all.....
So, I lived in a rural part of Ghana for a few years and the reason why they play the music so loud is because back in the day not many people had access to radios/music and in Ghanaian culture community is HUGE and when someone has something it is very rude to not share it. So in the case of music it is played loud so other who can't afford it or don't have access to it can still "enjoy it". Plus it makes it much easier to locate the Spot (aka the bars)😂
😂😂😂haaa what
We have such a beautiful, but fragile home called earth. Ghana is a gem. If we could find a way to elevate all the peoples of this planet, it would be so amazing for us to all share what we have. Amazing beauty.
Finding out my ancestors are from Ghana was a relief for me because most Jamaicans don't know their ancestry and don't put in the effort to find out. Anyways, everything about the African continent and the people is beautiful to me. Thank you Noraly. 🇯🇲
she doesn't show the bad parts
There is no bad part ... This isn't even the cities but villages. we are not in the dark ages especially Ghana!
There is no bad part ... This isn't even the cities but villages. we are not in the dark ages especially Ghana!
🤗👍
to be fair to Jamaicans/ African Americans who have decedents from the slave trade. its very hard for them to know their African roots because of the lack of counting from where they got their slaves from. making it very difficult/impossible for them to know their heritage.
This kind of infotainment is what makes the channel so much fun! Stay safe & keep going!!
I've been to Ghana a few times and met many wonderful people. The ghanaian people are lovely!
A few years back, my best friend disappeared for his 35th birthday. None of us could find him that day. Apparently he flew to Ghana and spent the night in the tree top cottage. It was so noisy it seems he could never sleep. He did all his sleeping on the plane back home. Ghanian jungles are definitely worthy of a bucket list item. Thanks again for the excellent drone footage.👍
Noraly is finally in my country Ghana, I just can’t believe it. I feel so excited. Welcome to Ghana Noraly, I hope you get to try some Ghanaian Jollof before you leave 😃
Its a beautiful country so lush and green. This episode showed it to its best. The tree canopy and rope bridges so well built too.
I'm a self-proclaimed tree junky. This was my favorite episode so far in this series in terms of trees. Stunning!
Me too. It's the first one that I've watched; mainly because I was interested in sampling the "scary jungle sounds in Ghana" for my music projects. I've become instantly addicted.
The rainforest is stunningly beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
Ghana
I respect Ghana for conserving their natural heritage 🙏
Ghana is beautiful. God must have spent more time here on creation
In the heart of a dense forest of Ghana stands a solitary tree house, where a courageous young lady resides alone, a genuine source of inspiration.
There are many places to visit in Ghana. In Ghana you will feel at home 😇
Wonderful, Noraly!
Your travels in West Africa to date have been full of challenges, drama, and an incredible diversity of geography, roads, weather, people, food, and languages.
Viewers of this channel sure get to see parts of the world not otherwise seen very often. Bravo!
er... Brava..?
I have seen only the deserts of Egypt and Sudan of Africa. It is Nurali, who took me on her cameras to show me the rest of Africa and other continents, answered all my questions and all before I asked any.
I visited Ghana in May and did the canopy walk at Kakum. It is not for the faint of heart. 😂 Lovely country and people.
The best adventure/travel channel in TH-cam. Better than most travel channels run by bikini clad women who paid to go to typical tourist destinations.
I haven’t been to Ghana but I have traced my ancestors there and this is the Ghana I want to see. Take care and thank you so much for opening the world from different eyes

Recently i came to about the african countries. I do see a similar traits of culture nd ethics of local with my indian values. It has created a curiocity to about africa cultur nd languages!
All I could think of was, "Garden of Eden"... What an exceptional rainforest... Imagine having respect for nature, rather than seeing it as a resource to exploit...
I drunk one of the best palm wine of my life down this forest walk !
the drone images were really amazing ! as well as the full episode as usual !
greetings from Nigeria, waiting for U !
Flying the drone while walking that bridge must have been more challenging than flying it while riding the bike. Amazing! Also must have been quite tricky to land it among all branches, ropes, tree trunks and all that - takes some skill. 👍
I thought that also!..she is incredibly capable, yes?
The newer and better dji drones have obstacle and collision avoidance built in. That's why she is capable of making awesome videos.
Yes she is on her A-game with the drone. Noraly explained in recent interview at the ABS festival that she fly's drone in manual mode. I always wrongly "assumed" to get those great shots while on her bike she used an auto tracking feature, but no, she uses manual control and explained why. Great respect for her skills. Peace!
Ghana is a gem and your drone shots give us an idea of the real beauty of Ghana !
That's our motherland Ghana. One of the best countries in Africa 🌍
I have also visited Kaum National Park and the canopy bridges. It is beautiful, only exceeded by the beauty of the peoples of Ghana!
Noraly, you take being adventurous and daring to a whole new level. As a solo traveler, you are one totally amazing Lady and beyond belief. You certainly have a knack at finding the most unusual and unique out of the way places. Thank you for sharing your journey to places beyond my imagination.
Wow, just wow, those bridges were amazing. Thank you for your bravery, your energy and your brilliant films, taking us to places we would never visit, there are lots of critiics of the internet, social media and youtube, but you use it for it's most benificial purpose. The quality of your output is second to none. I love every episode.

What a totally awesome adventure!!! Tarzan, eat your heart out!!! The tree house rocks!!! 😃😃😃

Another African gem discovered. Spectacular national park, canopy walk, and a tree house for the night. Hope you slept through the nocturnal orchestra! 🤔😅
So delighted every time you post! Incredible photos amongst the tree tops. You are one tough cookie to endure the many difficulties of traveling in remote areas. I have nothing but intense respect and admiration for you! Thank you again and again and again!! You are loved by many!
Reminds me of a Alison Krauss song;

I'd say you're lucky 'cause I know what you've done
Not a care in the world

Great 👍 The adventure is really good. Ghana seems a place that offers much.

Ghana absolutely rocks!😁
I agree. Wonderful.
Those bridges are like roads up in the air hanging from trees….what an adventure! Never seen such adventure from other travelers…
What a fabulous place to stay for the night. So high up. So, it is either up early with sound of loud music or up late with the sound of singing crickets and insects!
Even though it rained, a very nice ride from the stilt village to the national park! The swinging bridges are fantastic! The views of the area are beautiful and the aerial views are amazing. The insects singing in the night was an incredible closure for today’s adventure! Ride safe Noraly!

The wonderful rope bridges in the canopy - wow, wow! Another completely mesmerizing episode. So glad the dirt roads now are not the La Brea mud pits. 😃
😂😂 Ghana is the best
They can be, I live 30km from the Volta and a ride of 45minutes turned in 3½ hrs due to flooding of the roads. It's been exceptionally wet this year.
So happy for Noraly that she had a day of dry roads in such a beautiful ride!
Very cool tree bridges. So far, my favorite of your Africa destinations. My nephew was a teacher in Ghana with the Peace Corps. He loved the country and the people. 😄
Ooh, a peace corp...I hope he wasn't a spy. We had many of them back in the day when I was in secondary school in the cold war era, and the majority were spies.
That feeling when Noraly shows up at a place you've been and have your own photos of. I will never forget my canopy walk at Kakum National Park, the fresh coconut milk, stomping after crossing fire ants to make sure none crawled up my pant leg, my "1 Non-Ghanaian" badge, and lots and lots of sweat. ❤
Forest in GHANA is just amazing... especially with the walkway🤟🤟🤟
Just Goosebumps at the Beauty of our Africa !!!!❤❤❤

There are noisy bugs known as cicadas, about 100db... Beautiful drone shots of the canopy. Impressive and scary running the drone while walking across a narrow, swaying bridge, missing the other obstacles that you encounter in-flight. As a boy scout, I built many rope bridges but never using planks... Thank you for taking us along!
I may say it's the best place so far. loved the trees. I'll definitely visit Ghana and I like the way you chuckle.
Sure you are always welcome

Then you are missing missing the beauty of africa😂
I am a Ghanaian and I love your content - travelling diaries with Alaska through Ghana will take forever in Ghana. I would recommend Mole National Park, however, it is found at the Northern part of Ghana.
I don't know, but I wonder whether that is a bit too close to Burkino Faso & an Islamist insurgency for comfort...
@@fat_biker I understand your concern. There's alot of speculations around these topics. I have personally been to Mole National Park 3 times and haven't witnessed any of these issues.
@@kwakuopoku-ware6015 MNP is a great place, i agree. however i think for now, Noraly should stay around the middle belt and southern Ghana. Mole Nat Park is close to Burkina Faso. In fact you can literally transit from the park, cross a hippo river into Burkina. the residents in both countries within the catchment of the river are relatives. they crossover daily.....no visa, no questions asked.....the border is the river. about 500 meters on each side of the banks is no man's land.
@@Helo-p2rThank you for the thoughtful feedback and for sharing your perspective. I really appreciate you taking the time to provide additional context about Mole National Park's proximity to Burkina Faso. However, I respectfully disagree with your statement that people "cross a hippo river into Burkina Faso." That appears to be inaccurate. As you can verify on Google Maps, Mole National Park is quite far from the Ghana-Burkina Faso border. You raise a fair point that it may make more strategic sense for Noraly to focus their efforts in southern and middle Ghana for now. I'm sure Noraly's team is considering many factors as they plan their expansion, including safety, infrastructure, partnerships and more. I'm grateful you took the time to educate us further about the region. Discussions like this will help create richer and more informed videos going forward. Please feel free to share any other insights you may have!

That was a very nice looking breakfast at the stilt village. Noraly, the muddy road you decided to take that was so devastating was a brand new road that had not been developed or prepared for use. That was the problem. Thank You! to the people of Kakum National Park for allowing you to bring breathtaking pictures of the rope suspension bridges up in the canopy to the world. Hi, Channel and host Norlay,
What a spectacular place in Ghana"s virgin rain forest. Amazing to watch you walking on hanging bridge, from one trunk to another, I guess they are 7, The tree house in national park is pretty basic, but in the end it's a spectacular experience, the views, the path and equally attentive guide.
All your's drone shots were spectacular, the background music is also soothing to ears, you always select native tunes, capturing the breathtaking beauty of raw Africa, simple, warm and hospitable people even though they have bare minimum. So helpful to you.
