Hello! great video! I really want to purchase that same inside micrometer, but was wondering if there was anyway you could put a new sleeve and thimble on it to read to the ten thousandths. Or if you know of a mic that can already do so. Thanks!
@@machiningmoments They have a nice feel about them and have a good price range. I have a 0.001mm Mitutoyo mic that's very accurate indeed, yes it measures 1 micron on the vernier scale...amazing!
+machiningmoments Hello, I am trying to find out how Joseph Whitworth's micrometer worked? How did he get it to a millionth on an inch? Any help would be appreciated!
+Tim Crinion I'm not familiar with this micrometer and I have not had time to research it. I'll let you know if I get a chance. Sorry for the slow reply.
Seemed to have an Auto-out-of-focus function on that camera.
That is a great idea! I'm always looking for new ideas. Thanks for your note.
Ok, so what are their names? Most of us know these exist if your a machinest, but don't know the names of these.
I sure could use use the inter mic if it were tiny for wired holes on the dies I make for fasteners
awesomeness overflow...thumbs up to you
Glad it helped!
Hi Roger, which micrometer are you referring to?
should have listed the names they are called in the insdustry. Like the regular mics, disk, point, etc.
Great video
Thank you for watching.
