I just bought one at Walmart. Gerber makes good quality products. The only complaint that I have is the edge. Mine is hollow ground and then angle ground at a lesser angle. About a 30-degree included angle. This is not good. It should have been more like a 60-degree included angle. The sharpened surface is very rough. Is it a Walmart policy to sell dull knives? IDK. So now I have to spend a lot of time re-sharpening my Machete. Other than that. This is a REAL machete. Plenty of weight and the length is fine. Although, three more inches would be appreciated. At least, that is what my wife says.
How about a test in a real life situation...cutting branches and thing like that!! Good video. I would like to see how the steel holds to hard cuts of hard wood.
I ordered mine today, needed a new machete for camping. Good build quality.
