I noticed the folding saw has a curve which greatly helps the saw blade bite into the wood without needing to manually angle it. Future sawback machetes should take the curve into account while also rounding the sharp angles on the sawblades to avoid any breaks when striking.

You could chop through the log with the machete blade faster than a saw blade. And also you need to swing the machete at a 45° angle to be efficient

The fiskers didn't get a fair shot since you cut through a knot with it, which is much more difficult to do. Maybe try the fiskers again without the knot. ;)

you know what i would like to see as far as a comparison ... try a bush axe,, or they called billhook vrs a machete .. bush axe is a machete but with a hook.. it is a far better survival tool.. i have also seen them with saw's as well..
